The 7th Great God (Overlord Fan Fiction)

It was a simple action, yet filled with an abundance of meaning. Only a fool could see the depths of it. Night Silver, even with all the turmoil from her past being brought up… She was able to maintain a truly kind, caring and loving atmosphere. It was like flipping a switch all for the sake of another to have a peaceful rest… Something she was unable to obtain for herself even now, as she remained wide awake acting as the guardian of everyone here. 

The Elder who had asked, gulped. With strength like that, I, a humble servant, must record this moment for all generations to learn of. The pinnacle of true strength, our beloved Goddess possesses both inner and outer strength in spades this night, and all others. For she is truly the one worthy of worship. He thought, praying in his heart for a bright future when another thought sparked his imagination. The Brightness Dragon Lord, the only one in the world who represents the meaning of Bright! Night Silver our Goddess came in and struck the darkness from corroding the Brightness. Securing a Bright future for our people! Their union… It was meant to be! His mind continued to wander. "I'll have to share this with the others starting tomorrow, such a grand tale… And none of it is a lie nor extensions of the truth… It just is the fact." He murmured to himself. 

"You're quite amusing there, Elder… Hmm, I've never got your name, have I?" Night Silver said, realizing she had yet to ask his name. Huh, I guess when one starts to become a deity of worship, it becomes hard to find time for such things… How do I change this? 

"Goddess, my parents and the late chief granted me the name, Floating Cloud." The Elder replied, finally having an opportunity to say his name, this also happened to be the Elder who had been in the center of the three whenever conversations were taking place. I couldn't be more… His thoughts were interrupted by a beautiful voice, one he had grown more familiar with over the course of the night, and previous conversations. 

"Ah, that's a good name for you. Now go ahead and get some rest. I'm going to let you get away with doing less work just because you're tired. Besides, dreams are important and sleep allows you to relax and let go of your troubles. You can meet old friends once again, you can do anything in a dream. Anything you want." Night Silver said, smiling and shifting her body weight slightly. Her exposed bosom followed. The light from the moon and the stars, before had made her the definition of perfect beauty, but now… It was like perfection had grown more perfect.

"Yes, Goddess, I shall follow your command." Elder Floating Cloud said, bowing and then laid down and almost instantly fell asleep the moment he relaxed. I feel like I grow younger every time I see a Goddess like that. Even though she's bare chested at the moment I don't feel lust towards her. Just an immense respect, are breasts just a woman's confidence? Or is it Night Silver who's just that confident? I'm sure I'll find out sometime now, let's dream about the childhood sweetheart of mine… She died because of an illness…  And so he wandered himself to sleep. The others followed soon after. 

Night Silver was the last one who remained awake, enjoying the view of a landscape she would never have been able to enjoy without coming to this world. If I had the choice to stay here or return to my original world… My answer is clear, I'm staying here. But now that I've reached this conclusion, how shall I make good on my promise to protect everyone? The original plan was to create multiple settlements around here that would serve as the baseline for a small nation. But now I see that love can transcend one's species. How should I manage this new development? She thought to herself, as her eyes wandered across the numerous sleeping people, noting that there were clearly already lovers laying with each other in a truly telling embrace. 

The night was quiet, calm and gave Night Silver a lot of time to think… Until her thoughts were interrupted by a message. 

Uh, a message spell? It has been a little bit since I last contacted the six of them. It's… Oh good, my favorite of the bunch, the Water Goddess. "Hi there, how are you on this beautiful night?" Night Silver asked, picking up the telepathic call. 

"Everything is alright, though it has been difficult for me to fully adjust to being labeled a deity… That aside, there are many people here who miss you. And… I need to tell you something important… We've had some difficulties here with keeping the people's mindset steady." The Water Goddess replied, the sound of her voice wasn't too worried but, it did convey some issues going on back where the seven of them founded the Slane Theocracy. 

"Could you explain a little more?" Night Silver asked. If it's serious I may have to leave this village as it is. I certainly won't be happy about that. And neither would basically everyone here.

"Uhm, it's complicated… But if I had to put it into words… It seems like the human population here in the Theocracy is starting to assert they are superior to the others. They are claiming that because there are 5 human gods, the others aren't as good. It doesn't help that Surshana has been hiding away doing experiments and the works." The Goddess of Water explained. "For now, it doesn't seem like there will be any sparks. But it would probably do for you to make an appearance. You are the strongest among us, so that might sway some of them back to proper thoughts." She added.

"Thank you for making me aware of this. The Elves, especially the women among them, know a way to contact me directly at any time. Since they haven't done this, I'm inclined to believe I can postpone my appearance. So let's talk about something else." Night Silver replied. "Even so, I'll return there a week from tomorrow. Just to be sure… And to play with you in my secret hot-spring." She added, making sure to emphasize on the sensational nature of what would be a rather thrilling discussion, through to the morning.
