That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Multi-Harem

Chapter 3: The Otaku Master

"Sorry to bother you so abruptly, but may I ask you to guide me to the injured?"

"Y-yes, this way, please."

Rimuru Tempest followed the village chief to a hut where the wounded goblins were resting. He needed to check on their condition and test something he had in mind.

Meanwhile, he had instructed Velzard to distribute the 'sticky thread' and 'steel thread' he had created within his own body to the goblins. They would use these materials to build a defensive fence around the village.

"That's bad..." Rimuru muttered as he surveyed the injured goblins inside the hut.

Their bodies were covered with tattered bandages, and some had limbs missing entirely.

"...These injuries were caused by the Wolf Tribe. Some of them won't make it..." The village chief's voice trembled with sorrow, his face twisted in grief.

It was understandable, that some of his comrades might die. But Rimuru was here, and he wouldn't allow that to happen. He reached into his stomach and retrieved something, pouring it over one of the injured goblins.

Instantly, the goblin's wounds healed in an instant, and even the missing limbs regenerated as though they had never been lost.

"W-what is this...? The injuries... they're gone!?!" The village chief's eyes went wide as he watched the goblin warrior heal before his very eyes as if no injury had ever occurred.

The potion Rimuru used was a powerful healing elixir, a 'Full Recovery Potion,' made by combining the Hipokute Grass he'd devoured in the cave with magical essence. Its properties were so potent that it could regenerate lost limbs.

Velzard had informed him that the method to produce such a potion was unknown in this world.

"Village chief, please use this potion to heal the others as well."

"Y-yes, of course..." The village chief nodded, taking the potions from Rimuru.

With that, Rimuru stepped outside, leaving the rest to him. He believed that as long as the Wolf Tribe alone attacked, the goblins, with the fence they were constructing and the equipment he had inside his body, could hold their own.

However, the village chief had warned that several monsters in the Wolf Tribe's ranks were strong enough to rival the leaders of the tribe themselves.

For that reason, Rimuru decided to use his 'Otherworld Summon' to bring in additional reinforcements.

"Come forth, my new subordinates!"

Rimuru used a large amount of magical energy to perform the summon, just as he had when he summoned Velzard.

This time, the summoned being wasn't as powerful, but Rimuru could still feel a strong presence as the summoning circle took shape.

"Well, well. Since you called me, I'll do my best." came a voice.

When the magic circle disappeared, a man with light brown hair and green clothing, his head hidden by a green hoodie, stood there.

"So, you're the Otaku Master who summoned me?" the man said with a nonchalant tone.

"That's right!! Will you fight alongside me?" Rimuru asked.

The 'Otherworld Summon' was an extra skill that allowed Rimuru to summon beings from other worlds.

The cost was the magical energy used to summon them, and it didn't bind the summoned beings in any way. This meant that if an unwelcome being were summoned, Rimuru himself could be in danger.

"Yeah, sure. I know a bit about you now that I'm here, so I have no objections," the man replied with a casual shrug.

"That's great. I appreciate it. By the way, what's your name?"

"Robin Hood. Call me Robin."

'Robin Hood!!' Rimuru surely recognized the name, an ancient archer from Earth's history. It seemed this hero had been summoned as part of the 'Otherworld Summon.'

"No. He is a hero from Earth's history, one of the legendary figures. He was summoned from one aspect of his existence."

'Wait, what!? He's the real deal!? I can't believe he actually responded to the summoning!'

Rimuru was surprised, though he kept his composure. It was quite an extraordinary figure to have on his side, and he considered that a major advantage.

"Alright then, let's get to work," Rimuru said, eager to utilize Robin's abilities.

"Got it, boss," Robin replied with a grin.

The two of them worked together, assisting the goblins in building the fence and preparing to face the incoming Wolf Tribe forces.

Elsewhere, not far from the village~~

On the night of the new moon, the Wolf Tribe, along with their subordinates, magical foxes known as the 'Yōko Tribe,' cats with agility and speed known as the 'Hunter Cat Tribe,' and dogs with sharp claws and teeth known as the 'Hunting Dog Tribe'—were preparing to launch an attack on the goblin village.

These creatures, despite their strength, were not the leaders of their own kind, and this was unusual.

The reason was simple: according to the monsters' absolute rule of survival of the fittest, their leader had been defeated by the Wolf Tribe's boss, which forced them to become subordinates.

Their scale had grown strong enough to wipe out entire villages or towns in the blink of an eye.

Their first target was the goblin village—seemingly weak, but the first step in their larger conquest of the Jura Great Forest. Their fangs glittered in the darkness as they prepared to strike.

"Th-They're here! They're here!"

A goblin perched atop a tree near the village sounded the alarm as the pack of Fenrir Wolves and their allies approached.

The goblins collectively tensed, gripping their weapons with trembling hands in an attempt to suppress their fear.
