Lara was in her office when Mr. Bright, her co-worker entered

" Good morning Miss Lara " Mr. Bright greeted as Lara offered him a seat

" Ahh, Mr. Bright good to see you, have the meeting started " Lara asked

" Not actually, Mrs Mandy prosponed the meeting " Mr Bright replied

" Okay then why are you here " Lara asked

Bright had already gone to pick Lara from her office and they both went to a famous restaurant in Abuja

Lara returned to her office and shortly she received a call from her neighbor that her mother fainted and was rushed to city hospital, she hurried down and informed her friends to come join her there.

" What's up Lara, how's momsi " Tami asked

" Doctor said she's suffering from heart disease and we need six million naira to carry out the operation else mama will die in two weeks " Lara replied slowly as tears started gushing out of her eyes

" Where do they expect you to get such amount of money from " Zuri said slowly

" I- I- I dunno " Lara replied with her cracked voiced still in tears

" We can take a loan from our company " Adesuwa suggested

" ZALT !!! " Tami exclaimed

" Yes Tami and we'll pay back within a week " Adesuwa replied

" If we borrow such amount of money, how much will be left in the account to give out..., Please I don't want the company to fall " Lara said emotionally

" Lara you need to take it easy on yourself, and the company will not fall, we need to save Mama's life first " Zuri said

Tami was in her office discussing with her PA Sarah when her phone rang and it was Williams calling, Tami happily picked the call as Sarah excused herself in order not to interrupt

" Hey Tami " Williams said from the other end

" What's up " Tami replied

" Nothing really, How are you " Williams asked

" Well, I'm managing as every thing is turning upside down for me, I just need money " Tami replied

~City Hospital~

Tami approached the room Lara's mom was, but found Lara and the girls sitting outside the room's entrance

" I guess she's not good, let's just give her time " Adesuwa replied

" Lara you really need to take it easy on yourself " Zuri added

" I can't, my mother has been the one taking care of me since my birth and when it's the time for me to take care of her, I was so busy helping Mandy who doesn't even value me ..... I feel so disappointed girls " Lara weeped

" Don't be disappointed Lara, you didn't cause all this, you only started working for Mandy because you need the salary " Tami said

" And yet what ? She's still holding my salary for three months now, she's just so wicked " Lara replied still in tears

" Don't cry Lara, you know Momma is going to be okay, and they've already started with the operation ...." Zuri was saying when the doctor approached them with a sad look, as Lara hurriedly went to him and said in tears

" Tell me this is a prank doctor, where is the camera, my mother is in there and she wants to see me right ?" Lara said still in tears

" We lost her madam " The doctor said again as he left

" Noooooo she can't die, I promise to take care of her, Zuri the doctor is joking right " Lara cried and it was like she was going crazy, the girls tried counseling her but she still believes her mother is not dead. The girls manage to take her home and put to sleep.

" You girls, Lara can't stay alone, at least we need to stay with her until she gets over this her mom's death, she might kill herself if we leave her all alone " Tami said

" That's true Tami, I'll put my assistant in charge for the now " Adesuwa replied

" I really feel sorry for Lara, it's so painful to loose the only thing she has in this world " Zuri said.
