Surviving the Apocalypse with my Multiplier System

Chapter 260: Continued Raids

At the underground base.

Tristan made his way to Damien's room to give his daily report.

"Boss, we have now done multiple raids throughout the settlement and have secured many more resources and new recruits."

"Good. Continue them. I want this whole region to know who's in charge by the end of the summer", ginned Damien.

Tristan sighed internally but didn't say anything, only writing down Damien's orders in his notebook. He could tell that Damien was starting to go crazy from being cooped up inside all day.

"Oh, send out a new order. I want anyone who is low-performing from the new recruits to be given the drug. I won't have useless people in my kingdom", ordered Damien.

"Boss, the drug is still very unstable. It seems to rot the minds of the people who take it", reminded Tristan. He personally felt that this drug was untasteful.

"I don't care. I'd rather have a horde of animalistic brain-dead superhumans than a bunch of weak losers."

Tristan adjusted his glasses, "Very well, I'll have it done. Oh, and another piece of information came in recently. Dillon and his whole team were found dead, by the bullets we can confirm it was Julian's doing."

"Looks like he really was an incompetent fool. Make sure you throw his two whores back to where they belong, they've been using up too much of our supplies for nothing and I'm sure some of the other leaders would like a turn", said Damien with an evil glint.

Tristan got up to leave when Damien turned to him once more.

"Oh and Tristan, keep an eye out for any exceptional women. I'm getting bored down here"

Tristan looked at him for a quick moment then nodded, "I'll keep an eye out".

-

After Tristan sent the orders the lower-tier leaders gathered their teams again and went out to raid and pillage once more.

This time they had a friendly competition amongst themselves to see who can bring back the most, whether it be items or people.

This caused them to be even more aggressive when it came to dealing with the survivors who were barely hanging on.

-

"Okay, everyone listen up. I won't allow us to lose to Team Blue. We need to prove that Team Yellow is superior. Today we're leaving the city and going out farther to find more settlements!", the leader of Team Yellow shouted.

His men all raised their hands in a fist and cheered with him before getting into their cars.

They drove out of the city and towards the more rural areas, where larger settlements were located. It didn't take them long to find their first settlement and they quickly drove in aggressively, guns blazing.

The settlement was a small rural farming village that consisted of a few families. They all moved to the largest farmhouse and grew just enough vegetables to survive.

"Hello, how can we help you?", asked the leader of the settlement, doing his best to ignore the frightening-looking weapons.

The Yellow Team leader smiled, "Oh we're only here to take your supplies. That shouldn't be a problem, right?"

"P-please, sir! We hardly have enough to get by ourselves, if we give you our supplies it would be the same as killing ourselves!", the man cried.

The Yellow Team leader laughed, "Well, that's not my problem, now is it? But since I'm feeling nice today, I'll take you guys along with me. You can all come and live a happy life with us. Aren't you lucky?"

The man started shaking. He didn't believe that going with them would give him a good life at all. "Please sir, spare us!", he continued to cry.

The Yellow Team Leader raised his hand, signaling to the rest of his men to push forward. A few moments later screams and cries rang from inside the house.

Men and women were being carried outside while the other raiders hauled sacks of food and other resources out behind them.

"Please! Where are you taking us?", cried their leader. He watched his wife being dragged away and thrown into a car.

The Yellow Team leader looked at him, "To your new home, of course. Come on now, I want to hear you say 'thank you'".

Instead of doing what was asked, the man stood up and ran over to the car that his wife was thrown in.

"Tsk, ungrateful", the Yellow Team leader spat and turned around to look at the progress his men were making.

"Leader, we emptied the house. There wasn't much..", one of his lackeys reported.

The leader looked over at their cars which were still pretty empty, "I guess he wasn't lying when he said there wasn't much. Looks like we'll need to hit up another settlement. I refuse to come back with so little".

The lackey nodded, "Leader, I heard these people talking about a chicken farm not far from here."

"Oh? A chicken farm? Interesting, let's go pay them a visit", the leader smiled wickedly.

They went over to their cars and the Yellow Team leader gave the signal to tie up the man who was clawing at the car which his wife was in.

"Load him up and we'll set off to the next place", he said, giving the order.

The crying man was quickly tied up and thrown inside one of the other cars. After everything was settled they set off north to where this chicken farm was supposedly.

-

When Jimmy heard a car pull up in front of the barn he was initially excited, thinking that it was Liam and the caravan.

However, as he looked through the cracks of the barn door, he noticed that it was not who he expected. Dozens of cars pulled up with unsavory-looking men.

"Daddy! Is it Uncle Liam?", Jimmy's daughter asked excitedly.

"No, sunshine. Hurry and tell your mom to run or hide. We've got some bad guys here", he quickly said.

The girl pouted but ran over to find her mom to pass along the message.

Jimmy walked over to the corner of the barn and picked up his trusty shotgun. Something told him that these people wouldn't leave just because he asked.

"Let's see what y'all bastards are here for", he said, loading the gun with bullets.
