Chapter 796: Regret For Everyone!
Seated in the grand chamber of the Fan Family Manor, Fan Hao looked at Kent with a knowing expression.
"Kent King, I assume you've realized by now that your path isn't yielding the results you desire."
Kent nodded. "I need better resources. But I never expected the red silk country is so poor to afford good weapons. This isn't enough."
Fan Hao stroked his beard before speaking. "I might have a solution."
Kent's eyes narrowed with interest.
"The Emperor of Red Silk Country recently auctioned off a massive portion of his personal resources in exchange for an Emperor Rank Jade," Fan Hao explained. "He has invited Lu Tian, a newly advanced Emperor Rank Blacksmith, to forge a Royal Sword for him."
Kent instantly recognized the name.
Lu Tian was one of the recently succeded blacksmiths in the Immortal World. Eventhough he is a newly advanced emperor black smith, many prefer Li Tian. The main reason for this is, affordability. Li Tian is very cheaper compared to experianced emperor rank black smith.
Fan Hao continued, "I know you're not interested in becoming anyone's disciple, but if you manage to convince Lu Tian to accept you, even if just in name, you'll gain access to the highest-tier resources. Li Tian is not linked to any assocation and won't make you a slave."
Kent leaned forward. "And I'll be able to craft weapons in my free time?"
Fan Hao nodded. "Exactly. You'll get unparalleled materials, and no one will question where you get your resources from. It's the perfect cover."
Kent smirked. "Sounds good."
Fan Hao handed him a sealed letter with a personal insignia.
"This will grant you an audience. Take one of your best-crafted weapons and go see him."
Kent took the letter, bowed slightly, and thanked the Patriarch before heading out.
Three days later, as the sun began to set, Kent arrived at the Royal Palace, where Lu Tian had been given a personal residence by the Emperor.
The estate was massive, its golden rooftops reflecting the evening light.
Kent stepped up to the grand doors and knocked.
A voice barked from inside.
"Who's there?"
"Me."
The door cracked open, revealing a Royal servant with an arrogant smirk.
"Who are you?"
Kent held out the letter. "I'm here to see Master Lu Tian."
The servant snorted. "Master Tian doesn't see commoners. Turn around and leave."
Kent remained unfazed. "Introduce me. I have something important."
The servant crossed his arms, shaking his head.
"Nonsense. Everyone who comes here wants something. Unless you're the Emperor himself, Master Tian doesn't waste his time."
Kent sighed and flicked several mana crystals into the servant's hand.
The servant grinned, pocketing the bribe before nodding.
"Fine, follow me."
The servant led Kent through a lavish courtyard to an elaborate hall with golden pillars.
"Wait here."
A few moments later, the servant returned.
"Go back. Master Tian isn't seeing you."
Kent frowned. "Just like that?"
"Master Tian said he doesn't see nobodies. He doesn't take disciples. Get lost."
At that moment, an elderly man in crimson robes stepped out from the hall, his eyes sharp as blades.
"Who is making noise outside?"
The servant quickly bowed. "Master Tian, this man is trying to seek apprenticeship under you."
Kent immediately stepped forward.
"Master Tian, my name is Kent King. I seek to be your disciple."
Lu Tian's expression twisted in disdain.
"What random brat dares to claim such nonsense?"
Kent remained calm. "I am a King Rank Blacksmith and have personally refined top-tier King Rank weapons."
Lu Tian scoffed. "Self-study? Ridiculous. No one can master weapon crafting on their own."
Kent pulled out a gleaming sword, one of his best King Rank creations.
"Then look at this."
Lu Tian didn't even glance at it.
"Get lost."
Kent's expression darkened. "Master Tian, if you accept me, I guarantee that—"
"I SAID GET OUT!" Lu Tian roared.
His voice shook the entire courtyard, and his aura suppressed everything in the area.
Kent's fists clenched.
"If you reject me today, remember this moment. One day, you'll regret it."
Lu Tian's eyes flashed with irritation.
"If you don't leave in the next breath, I'll report to the Emperor and have your entire family exterminated."
Kent sneered. "Try it. You should know that my grandfather is Kumar King."
Lu Tian's gaze hardened for a split second before he waved a hand.
"That old man's name holds no weight here. Leave."
Kent took a deep breath, suppressing his boiling rage.
"Fine, Lu Tian. I understand."
Turning around, Kent walked away, his mind already spinning with new plans.
Kent King had barely taken a few steps away from Master Tian's residence when he saw a familiar figure approaching from the opposite direction.
A woman, draped in luxurious silk robes, her presence radiating elegance and pride—Princess Chi Kai, one of the most sought-after beauties in Red Silk City.
She was accompanied by a young man, his posture confident and his face brimming with arrogance.
The moment their eyes met, Princess Chi Kai's steps faltered slightly.
"Why are you here?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
Kent King smirked, bowing slightly as a courtesy. "Greetings to the princess."
Before Chi Kai could reply, a Royal servant hurriedly interjected, his voice dripping with mockery.
"Sister Princess, this one called Kent King was here to beg Master Tian to take him as a disciple." The servant scoffed, then added in a gloating tone, "He even went as far as to threaten Master Tian, saying that if he refused, he would regret it for the rest of his life and master might die of regret."
Kent's expression darkened.
His gaze turned sharp, and the air around him grew heavy.
"Did I ever say that?" Kent's voice was calm but laced with danger.
The Royal servant swallowed nervously but still maintained his mocking stance.
"You're just a nobody, Kent King. You dare to threaten Master Tian? How old are you? Do you think you can kill someone in his own house?"
Kent King took a step forward, his golden eyes flashing ominously.
"Believe it or not, if you continue running your mouth, I will end your life here and now."
A wave of murderous intent spread from Kent's body.
The Royal servant paled, his breath hitching in fear, and instinctively took a step back.
Princess Chi Kai stepped in quickly, raising her hand to defuse the situation.
"Kent King, get out of here right now and don't disturb Master Tian. You're only asking for trouble."
Kent King chuckled.
"Hmm… interesting. I originally thought of helping the Princess by offering this King Rank Sabre as a gift." He casually lifted a gleaming weapon from his storage ring. "But alas… seems like it's your bad luck."
Chi Kai's gaze subtly wavered, but she quickly recomposed herself.
"Who needs a weapon made by a nobody?" A mocking voice came from the young man beside her—Master Tian's personal disciple.
The disciple, Lin Hao, stepped forward, sneering as he glanced at the King Rank Sabre in Kent's hands.
"Trash." Lin Hao laughed. "Even if it's a King Rank weapon, if it was made by you, I doubt it's worth anything."
Kent King simply smirked, unfazed.
He casually swung the sabre once in the air.
SWOOSH!
A terrifying energy wave burst from the blade, slicing through seven massive wild elephant-sized trees in a single strike.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The trees shook violently, then collapsed one after another, hitting the ground with thunderous booms.
The entire courtyard shook.
Silence.
The Princess froze, her breath catching in her throat.
The Royal servant fell to his knees, his mouth hanging open in shock.
But the most stunned of all was Lin Hao.
His hands tightened into fists, his face turning pale as he realized the horrifying truth.
The sabre in Kent's hand wasn't just a King Rank weapon—it was a Peak King Rank weapon, crafted with exquisite skill and flawless refinement.
Even his Master, Tian, rarely forged such high-quality weapons!
"T-This…" Lin Hao stammered, his mind racing.
Kent King turned around casually.
"Well then, Princess, I'll be taking my leave."
Without another glance, he walked away.
The stunned crowd remained motionless, their minds still processing what had just happened.
Lin Hao clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms.
He turned to Princess Chi Kai, a forced smile on his lips.
"Princess, do not worry." He took a deep breath and forced his composure. "In three days, I will craft you a sabre that can cut down more than ten elephant-sized trees."
Princess Chi Kai, still recovering from her shock, finally nodded.
"You better." Her tone was firm, but there was now a trace of doubt in her eyes.
Could Lin Hao really forge a weapon as powerful as Kent King's?
Lin Hao gritted his teeth.
His pride as Master Tian's disciple had been severely wounded.
As Kent exited the palace grounds, he chuckled darkly to himself.
"That arrogant bastard thinks he's untouchable."
He glanced at the sword still in his hand.
"Screw being his disciple. I'll surpass him on my own."
With that thought, Kent stepped into the night, a new path forming in his mind.
This was far from over.
