Superman's Saiyan little brother

Chapter 608: Chapter 608: The Angel's Backup?

"Does Heaven want to start a war? You should know the state of Heaven by now. Do you think you're capable?" Diana, unperturbed by Gabriel's threat, dismissed it outright. While Heaven was indeed a top-tier entity among Earth's pantheon, it was now one of the most distant dimensions from Earth, even repelled by it. Unlike realms like Asgard, Heliopolis, Wakanda, or Mount Olympus, which could still access Earth relatively easily, Heaven's Holy Light dimension was isolated. The fact that even Heaven's angels had to resort to methods akin to smuggling, like Hell's demons, to descend to Earth, highlighted how unwelcome they were.

Thus, Diana paid no heed to Gabriel's threats. Glancing at the injured Robert fighting in the distance, she wielded her flaming sword and attacked Gabriel.

"Get out of here; this battle is beyond you!" Diana shouted to the stunned Constantine as she advanced, warning him that staying would mean certain death from the battle's aftermath.

"Okay!" Constantine quickly responded, but instead of fleeing immediately, he checked on Angela, who appeared lifeless. Discovering she still had a faint pulse, he breathed a sigh of relief. Constantine then used a strange magical seal on Angela, ensuring she remained stable before carrying her away from the battlefield.

"Prepare to open the Mirror Dimension!" Meanwhile, Baron Mordo and others began channeling their magic to create a Mirror Dimension. They had waited for Constantine to leave before starting, but everyone, focused on Constantine, Mammon, and Gabriel, had overlooked the danger facing the Hell Baron inside the building.

However, as they began to cast the spell, powerful forces shattered the forming Mirror Dimension.

"What's going on?" A Kamar-Taj student asked Baron Mordo, puzzled. While they had seen Mirror Dimensions breached or blocked before, the current situation—where the dimension failed to form without interference—was new to them.

"Don't ask me; I don't know either..." Baron Mordo responded, frustrated. Despite being the strongest among the Kamar-Taj students, his knowledge and power were far from the Ancient One's. Even compared to Constantine, his understanding of magic was rudimentary, leaving him baffled by the current situation.

"Wait, the Saiyans are coming, but where's the Hell Baron?" Constantine, sensing the failed Mirror Dimension, momentarily shifted his focus from Angela, recalling the missing Hell Baron.

"Should we find him?" Constantine pondered, considering the Hell Baron's mysterious backer in Hell. Deciding it was worth investigating, he set out to locate the Hell Baron, hoping Robert might later be able to help Angela.

Using a tracking spell, Constantine found the Hell Baron's location nearby and rushed over.

Suddenly, a figure crashed down near Constantine—bloodied and battered, it was the Hell Baron.

"What happened to you? You look worse off than us!" Constantine exclaimed, shocked at the Hell Baron's severe injuries, far worse than his and Angela's combined.

"If not for his robust constitution, the Hell Baron would be dead from such wounds," Constantine thought.

Another blood-soaked figure, a demon, approached Constantine, clearly having the upper hand over the Hell Baron. The demon had been too focused on consuming the Hell Baron's bloodline to notice the earlier phenomena.

The Hell Baron struggled to rise, still under the influence of a numbing spell. Constantine, noticing this, quickly used a spell to clear the Hell Baron's mind.

"Thanks..." The Hell Baron rasped, "I need your help. He's absorbed too much of my bloodline; I can't beat him alone. What's happening on your end?"

"It's complicated, but we need to deal with him fast and get out of here. I sensed a Mirror Dimension—well, you wouldn't understand. Just know that if we don't leave soon, we're dead!" Constantine explained, shaking his head.

"Arrogant fool! You have no idea how powerful I've become. Even Mammon might not match me now..." The demon, enraged by Constantine's dismissive attitude, attacked, aiming to tear Constantine apart.

But the demon was halted by an invisible barrier, then trapped in a watery enclosure, struggling to break free.

"Wait!" Constantine shouted as the Hell Baron, seeing the demon trapped, rushed to attack, inadvertently freeing the demon.

"What are you doing? I had him trapped! Now you've ruined it!" Constantine snapped at the Hell Baron.

"How was I supposed to know? You've never used that spell before, and you said to hurry!" The Hell Baron retorted, defensively.

The freed demon hesitated to attack again, wary of Constantine's strange magic, looking for a better opportunity.

Meanwhile, the Hell Baron couldn't hold back his anger. Having come to rescue Angela, he had been ambushed and drained by the demon, leaving him furious and desperate for revenge.

He charged at the demon, shouting to Constantine, "Same tactic as before! I attack, you use magic—don't hold back, I can hold on for now!"

With a loud crash, the Hell Baron's fist clashed with the demon's, his right arm being his only unweakened limb.

Constantine, not disappointing, unleashed a barrage of powerful spells, showing off his prowess as a mage, overwhelming the demon. Despite consuming the Hell Baron's bloodline, the demon was still no match for Mammon, highlighting the limits of mere power absorption.

As they fought, the entire building shook and began to collapse, a result of the fierce battles between Robert and Mammon, and Diana and Gabriel. The tremors indicated that the area, weakened by earlier phenomena, was on the verge of breaking apart.

"What do we do? If this area collapses, Earth won't last long..." Kaecilius asked Baron Mordo, concerned about their repeated failures to establish the Mirror Dimension, either due to the overwhelming forces or the chaotic battle.

Suddenly, a faint sound of something breaking was heard, followed by a holy light appearing within the area, alarming the Kamar-Taj students.

"What's going on? Does Gabriel have reinforcements?!" Kaecilius exclaimed, preparing a spell, realizing that if Gabriel received help, Earth could face even greater danger, with only Robert and Diana's victory offering a chance for salvation.
