Chapter 104: Returning to Marvel
Dave didn't take part in rebuilding the new world order. Instead, he quietly returned to Amazon Lily, where he spent his time with his girlfriends and also his new girlfriend, Boa Hancock, the Empress of the Kuja and the ever-devoted ruler of Snake Island.
While there, Dave discovered a way to cure Boa Hancock's lovesickness, though she still ended up loving him deeply. Realizing her unwavering devotion, Dave decided to use some of his template points to bring her with him to his own world—the Marvel Universe.
Over the next year, Dave spent his days enjoying life with Hancock and others, taking a break from battles and world-shaping events.
During that year, significant changes unfolded in the One Piece world. With the World Government restructured, the system of Celestial Dragons ruling as heavenly gods was abolished. In its place was a fairer taxation system that allowed countries to pay manageable taxes without facing bankruptcy.
A new profession also emerged: Adventurers. Inspired by the Hunter Program from the Hunter x Hunter world, Dave introduced the idea of an Adventurer System. This new system required licensing, offering individuals the chance to explore the seas as sanctioned adventurers rather than pirates. This change brought structure and opportunity, making the seas safer and more dynamic.
Thanks to Dave's influence, the world transformed into a place where freedom and fairness coexisted, while he enjoyed in the embrace of his girlfriends.
As the system in the One Piece world ran smoothly, Dave and Boa Hancock prepared to return to the Marvel Universe. Hancock bid farewell to her people, entrusting the Kuja Tribe to the newly appointed Empress, whom Dave had personally trained and empowered to a level rivaling the Four Emperors. With her newfound strength, the new Empress was more than capable of protecting her people against any threat.
Aboard their ship, the group sat in a round formation, ready to discuss their departure. Dave glanced at everyone: Tony, Pepper, and Rhodes sat together; his girlfriends—Emma, Diana, Trish, and Hancock—were seated across from them.
"You guys ready to head back?" Dave asked.
They nodded in unison.
"Think it over. If there's anything left undone here, speak now because we're not returning anytime soon," he said firmly.
"We've done all we could here," Pepper said with a smile, and the others nodded in agreement.
"Alright, then," Dave said, standing.
Over time, Dave had reached 100% synchronization with his Whitebeard template. This granted him not only Whitebeard's peak strength but also a profound understanding of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit. What was once thought of as simply a "quake" fruit turned out to be a Molecular Manipulation Fruit.
Whitebeard had unknowingly used its powers by instinctively vibrating molecular frequencies, creating devastating quakes. While powerful, this approach had limitations—it was highly destructive and even caused self-inflicted damage due to the lack of precise control.
Dave, however, mastered the fruit at a deeper level, controlling matter at a molecular scale. He discovered he could manipulate molecular frequencies with surgical precision, amplifying or dampening vibrations to either create devastating shockwaves or restore stability. This mastery allowed him to use the fruit's abilities creatively and with minimal collateral damage.
"Whitebeard only scratched the surface of this fruit's potential," Dave thought to himself. "But now, it's another tool in my arsenal."
With everyone ready, Dave closed his eyes and mentally connected to his system. Sei, the system he had personally named, responded with a nod of acknowledgment. In an instant, a brilliant light engulfed the entire group, and they vanished from the ship without a trace.
Moments after their departure, an illusionary figure appeared on the now-empty ship. The figure had a faint, ethereal glow and seemed to watch over the vessel with a calm, almost solemn expression. As if understanding its purpose had been fulfilled, the ship began to move on its own, gliding through the waters with an eerie grace.
It sailed toward a massive whirlpool that seemed to beckon it home. Without resistance, the ship allowed itself to be pulled into the whirlpool. As it descended, it disassembled plank by plank, mast by mast, and was consumed by the depths. The sea seemed to accept it as a mother welcoming her child, letting the ship return to eternal rest within her embrace.
The ship, which had carried Dave and his companions on their journey, now found peace, becoming one with the ocean it had traversed for so long.
Not knowing that there was another silent partner who had been sailing alongside them, Dave and his group returned to the Marvel world. As they arrived in New York City, the night skyline stretched out before them, its vibrant lights reflecting off the towering skyscrapers.
Standing by the window of their high-rise, Boa Hancock gazed at the sight in awe. "What is this?" she murmured, her voice tinged with wonder.
Dave chuckled softly, stepping closer to her and wrapping an arm around her waist. He leaned in slightly, his voice warm and welcoming. "Welcome to Marvel," he said with a smile.
Hancock nodded, her eyes still fixed on the mesmerizing view. The others began to gather around Dave as Diana stretched and sighed. "It's good to be back," she said with relief.
Pepper, standing beside Tony, nodded in agreement. "Though now we're back to work," she added with a small chuckle. "I suppose we can think of this world-traveling adventure as a new kind of vacation—one that's truly out of this world."
Tony smirked and clapped Dave on the shoulder. "Next time you get any of this Devil Contract magic stuff, call me first," he said. Then, with a mock-salute, he scooped Pepper in Princess Carry and then wearing his Turbo Suit he flew off to is home.
Rhodes stepped forward, handing Dave a pair of glowing gauntlets. "Your gauntlets," he said, passing the Ifrit Gauntlets back to their owner.
Dave took them, nodding in appreciation.
Rhodes grinned. "Don't mention it. You're not the only one with some new tricks now." He tapped his chest proudly.
Dave raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh?"
"Yep. I got myself a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit while we were in that world," Rhodes said, his voice brimming with excitement. "They call it the Black Divine Tortoise Fruit. Lets me transform into a giant tortoise with control over water and decay powers. Pretty powerful, huh?"
"It's great actually" he said as Rhodes nodded and begin to leave to.
