Chapter 13: Ch-5 Part-3
Yang Tao turned his head. The man's name was Zhang Zhang. He talked a lot and could chat with anyone. He also loved to gossip and always felt that he had the best relationship with Yang Tao.
"I went to the hospital yesterday," Yang Tao said calmly. He didn't have a good impression of this person who liked to gossip behind his back.
"Then why didn't you ask for leave? Even if you didn't, if you had told me yesterday, I would have made an excuse for you," Zhang Zhang said, shaking his head.
"It's probably going to be difficult for you today. Manager Hu will definitely give you trouble. You're too serious, and you didn't tell me before."
Yang Tao scoffed inwardly. 'You care about me so much? Then why didn't you say anything yesterday? In the company group chat, you're always so active, but never helpful.'
"If I told you, you'd just add fuel to the fire," Yang Tao said sarcastically. He wasn't a good-tempered person, and he never spoiled others.
"You..." Zhang Zhang looked at Yang Tao in surprise. In his impression, Yang Tao was submissive, introverted, and shy.
The only advantages Yang Tao had were that he was down-to-earth, honest, hardworking, and, well, he also had a very attractive girlfriend.
When did Yang Tao dare to talk like that? Is this a side effect of his disease, causing mental problems?
"You must have taken the wrong medicine, Yang Tao. I care about you and think about you, yet you say this to me?" Zhang Zhang replied angrily.
"Thank you," Yang Tao said with a sarcastic smile.
"I really can't stand your concern. Everyone knows that after you show concern on one side, you'll turn around and add insult to injury. No one in the company hasn't been stabbed in the back by you."
The company had employees from all over the country. People might talk a little at work, but in the end they were just passers-by in life.
Yang Tao believed that if you could get along with someone, you could communicate with them. If you didn't, there was no need to indulge them. Yang Tao's introversion had allowed Zhang Zhang to behave this way, but others wouldn't tolerate him.
Zhang Zhang's face darkened, but he didn't know what to say.
Seeing that everyone in the office was watching and waiting for a good show, his fingers trembled as he pointed at Yang Tao.
"You! Just wait!"
Yang Tao sneered. 'This type of person is all bark and no bite.'
Too lazy to engage further, Yang Tao sat at his workstation, lost in thought.
Time passed slowly. Zhang Zhang left his workplace for over ten minutes.
When he returned, he sneered at Yang Tao, who remained in a daze.
'This kind of person is the most vengeful. If you suppress them in the first confrontation, they won't dare to act out again. But if you indulge them too much, they'll feel emboldened and seek revenge the moment you push back.'
Soon it was noon. People in the office were either going out for lunch or ordering takeout.
Yang Tao had already finished his lunch and guessed that Xu Ruyan had also eaten. He went to the bathroom, looked in the mirror, and practiced his facial expressions, mentally preparing how he would talk to her. Then he went to Xu Ruyan's office.
Standing at the office door, Yang Tao knocked.
His colleagues looked at him in surprise. An ordinary employee going to the vice president's office? What was going on?
"Please come in!" Xu Ruyan's voice called from inside.
Yang Tao took a deep breath. 'This is my first real challenge. It's now 12:30, and at two o'clock, Xu Ruyan's loss will be determined. There are still three hours left - it can still be prevented.'
After adjusting his expression, Yang Tao walked in and closed the door behind him.
