Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 506: Omni-Synchronization

Sera and Noelle were heading straight toward the so-called alien nest.

As Marquis Reyzar mentioned, the nest must contain a lot of aliens, considering how many aliens reside in the road leading to that nest.

Noelle simply leaped from one spot to another, cutting the aliens one by one in rapid succession. The aliens tried to fight back, but they were completely useless against Noelle.

There was a juvenile class alien charging toward her. The alien sent forth its tentacles in all directions, but Noelle simply continued as if the tentacles were not a problem.

When they were about to reach her, Noelle slightly shifted her stance. She stomped the ground and made multiple swings in rapid succession, cutting the tentacles starting from the top, the sides, and finally the bottom.

She advanced rapidly, as though she wasn't bothered by the tentacles, and ultimately reached the alien.

"!!!" The juvenile class alien punched her, albeit that fist was blocked by her sword. Then she slid her sword on the alien's arm and smoothly cut its neck.

"Woah." Sera looked surprised. Noelle and Sera had agreed to focus on their own spot, so she had the time to observe Noelle.

After all, Brunhild was also cutting down the aliens while Asmodeus provided the firepower to annihilate all the aliens.

Brunhild replicated what Noelle did easily, while Asmodeus looked around as if he had noticed something.

After taking a glance at Noelle, he couldn't help but come up with something 'devilish.' He secretly activated another magic that released a small dose of pheromone, this time not toward the girls but toward something else.

Brunhild and Sera were oblivious to what he was doing. As Nathan said, Asmodeus was very cunning and tricky, so if they were not careful, they would be in trouble. Fortunately, due to the summoning ritual, Asmodeus was an ally.

And this ally secretly leaked a pheromone to bring in more aliens.

That was right. He had noticed the group of aliens not far from them. They hadn't come toward them yet, so why would he not bring them here? After all, there were at least 80 aliens in that direction.

Their advance was pretty wild, not because of their number, but because of the one who led them.

"!!!" Brunhild, Sera, and Noelle couldn't help but raise their heads.

Noelle warned them. "A strong enemy is approaching. Mature class?" Noelle lifted her sword as if she wanted to attack them.

However, Asmodeus suddenly spoke up. "Sorry, but Miss Noelle, you and my summoner have agreed to focus on your own spot. This time, the aliens are coming toward us, so I must implore you not to join the battle."

Noelle widened her eyes, wondering if Asmodeus had gone insane or not.

Sera and Brunhild thought it wasn't a bad idea.

The mature class alien had a humanoid body but ran on four feet. It had a round head filled with tentacles.

It crushed all the trees in its path, making way for the other aliens to follow.

"Well…" Sera waved her hand, activating her Synchronization. Her targets were not Brunhild or Asmodeus.

The mature class alien had noticed Sera and rushed toward her, but all of a sudden, his hand hit the trees that Sera reinforced. Unlike any other trees, these few trees didn't budge, causing the alien to trip and slide toward her.

'How? Why would it suddenly trip?' Noelle was stunned at first but snapped back right after, since the alien would crush Sera with its giant body at this rate. When she was about to ignore Asmodeus' words and leap to Sera, Brunhild had already stood in the alien's way.

"Don't worry. My Synchronization is not limited to a human now." Sera smiled. She applied her Synchronization, one to Brunhild and the other to her spear.

'Is that why the alien tripped?' Noelle frowned, glancing at those few trees.

Brunhild lowered her spear as if she wanted to flick such a giant body up. It was Sera's turn to be surprised when a white-colored magic circle suddenly appeared behind Brunhild.

"Huh? Magic?" Sera widened her eyes. Brunhild might be able to use her ena to improve her spearsmanship, but Sera was certain Brunhild couldn't use any magic.

"Hohoho." Asmodeus smiled. "She learned it from me."

Sera's eyebrows twitched. After all, there was no way Asmodeus was doing it for free. "You…"

"Of course, she has to pay a price. Don't worry. It's not a big price… In fact, it's a pleasant price, just not for her…" Asmodeus chuckled playfully.

Brunhild's face reddened due to the embarrassment. To hide it away, she just leaped forward and hit the giant body from the bottom.

The magic circle was activated. Her spear technique, which was usually used to pierce through her enemy's body, was maintained on her spear and let it erupt, this time in the form of scooping. That burst of ena coupled with the magic and Sera's Synchronization actually launched such a massive body into the air.

"!!!" Noelle widened her eyes. Even Sera thought Brunhild could only stop it, not launch it into the air.

Asmodeus clapped his hand as a massive black-colored magic circle formed above the alien.

The magic circle released a black lightning bolt and launched the massive body back into the ground.

Bam!

The mature class alien let out a long wail as the rest of the aliens had caught up.

"I will take care of the mature class alien," said Brunhild. She was a bit frustrated that she couldn't kill a mature class alien back in the mine.

Asmodeus nodded playfully. "As you wish, Lady Brunhild. I'll take care of the rest of the aliens then."

Noelle was dumbfounded. The strength of the two familiars was actually beyond what they were supposed to be capable of. In addition, the way Sera utilized her Synchronization was a bit too advanced.

Sera sighed. "If I don't do this, I will be left behind. My progress won't be able to catch up with them. Brunhild wants to beat Fenrir so much that she ends up asking Asmodeus to teach her magic. Well, it can't be helped. Asmodeus even inspired me to utilize Synchronization this way.

"In the end, the familiars brought new knowledge, and I also gave them knowledge that all of us could improve later on. Isn't that the essence of summoners? Though, I doubt someone who doesn't even bother to summon a familiar would understand it."

Sera's words were like a spear piercing through Noelle. Noelle refused to summon a new familiar because she wanted to be like her grandfather. However, the latter had told her she should find her own path instead of imitating him.

Noelle couldn't help but grit her teeth because she couldn't refute Sera's words. After all, Sera had shown that her path allowed her to possess a strength beyond her means.

It was because Noelle had been stuck in her own world that she progressed slower than Sera.

Little did both of them know, Nathan was secretly relieved that Noelle and Sera actually paired up. After all, Sera was the one who had the biggest convincing power compared to him, Selena, or Alavenya.

After all, Sera was the weakest. Nathan could fulfill Sullivan's wish to have Noelle find her own path through Sera. He didn't know what kind of form it would take, though. Discover more stories at empire
