The streets of Gotham echoed with chaos—police sirens, panicked screams, and the smoking remains of four destroyed patrol cars. But Red Hood didn't flinch.

Sitting atop his crimson motorcycle, he stared at the massive holographic question mark spinning above one of Gotham's crumbling skyscrapers.

"One down," he muttered. "Let's not make it five."

He pulled out his communicator. Nia's voice crackled through. "We decrypted the riddle Riddler broadcasted. Want it?"

"Hit me."

Nia read:

I stand before you every day,Reflecting truths you hide away. You see my face, yet I am still,To know my depth requires skill.

Red Hood snorted. "Mirror. The answer's a mirror. I'm not an idiot, Eddie."

With that, he throttled the engine and headed toward Riddler's likely hideout—an abandoned mirror factory downtown.

....

Red Hood slipped inside through a maintenance tunnel, stepping quietly through a thin layer of water. A spike trap shot out from the wall—CLANG!—only for him to duck under it smoothly.

"Amateurs," he muttered, kicking open the next door.

Three auto-turrets dropped from the ceiling.

Red Hood dived, sliding across the wet floor, his twin pistols blazing. Sparks flew as he shot the barrels of the turrets mid-swing, disabling all three before they could track him again.

"Still dancing with your toys, Riddler?"

He rolled into the next hallway—

Only to come face to face with ten armed mercs, all geared to the teeth. Before they could shout

Boom

The first caught a bullet through the eye.

Jason vaulted off the wall, kicked another in the jaw, disarming him mid-air. He landed behind a third, snapped his neck clean, and used his body as a human shield while he gunned down two more over the shoulder.

A baton flew from nowhere, cracking one goon in the skull—he dropped.

Jason turned.

"Took you long enough."

Robin. Tim Drake. Dressed in green and red, scowling already.

"You're welcome. You weren't going to save any for me?"

"Didn't realize Batman was still recruiting."

"Yeah? And I didn't realize corpses could still talk."

"Real cute, replacement."

WHACK. A stun disc landed between them, sparking.

Barbra dropped down from above, dusting her gloved hands. Batgirl.

"Boys. Can we play nice for five minutes?"

Jason twirled his pistol and holstered it, still smirking under the helmet.

"Didn't know the Batkids were still running his errands. You should've graduated by now, Babs."

Barbra ignored the jab. "We're here to help. Even you shouldn't face Riddler alone."

"Funny. I've been doing fine without a bedtime and a cowl over my head."

Robin stepped forward. "You think just because Batman didn't save you, he abandoned you?"

Jason's tone dropped cold.

"He did abandon me. He let Joker beat me to death. You think he couldn't have done more? He replaced me in a heartbeat. That's you, right? The replacement. How's it feel?"

Tim's fists clenched. "At least I didn't turn into a psychopath."

"Nah," Jason said, stepping past him. "You're still young. Give it time."

Barbra placed a hand on Tim's chest before things got worse. "Jason… Bruce didn't know. We thought you were dead."

Jason paused. For a moment, silence hung between them.

Then—a booming laugh echoed through the halls.

Riddler's voice.

"Ah, family drama. I love this part."

The trio walked into a massive chamber.

Three doors. Three screens. Three paths.

Above them, a projection of Riddler.

"Three paths. Three minds. Each with its own delicious challenge. A test of wit, a test of resolve, and a test of pain."

Jason stepped forward. "Which one leads to your smug little face?"

"Ah, Red Hood. My wild card. You get door number three. Destruction and chaos—how fitting."

He turned to the others. "Stay out of my way."

Robin growled. "You'll just screw it up."

"Maybe. But I'll make sure the body count's worth it."

....

The hallway greeted him with laser grids. Alarms.

Jason didn't even pause.

He pulled two smoke grenades, rolled them forward, and charged headfirst.

The smoke swallowed the lasers in seconds. He slid under one, jumped over another, shot out the ceiling cam, then rolled into a side hallway.

A wall began to collapse.

He shot the supports. It collapsed early, catching several traps inside.

Riddler was waiting, tapping his cane against the floor, grinning like the devil.

"I hoped it would be you. Truly. The wild one. The rabid dog of the Bat."

Jason raised his gun. "Enough games."

"Oh don't be so dramatic," Riddler said, laughing. "This wasn't even my idea. It was his."

Jason paused.

"Alessandro Anderson."

"What?"

"Oh yes. He paid for all of this. The bombs. Bane. Croc. Yours truly. All just a show. He needed chaos, to let his Brother rise. You're just the clean-up."

Jason's mind flashed back.

"Feel free to get creative."

Jason's jaw tightened.

He lowered his gun for a moment. Riddler relaxed.

"See? I knew you were reasonable. We can walk out of here, and—"

BANG!

The shot rang loud in the chamber.

Riddler's words choked in his throat. He fell back. Head blown clean through.

Red Hood holstered his weapon, the still-warm barrel clicking softly into place. His boot nudged Riddler's corpse to the side as he activated his comms.

"So that's why you sent me... 'Get creative,' huh? You wanted me to kill the loose end."

Halfway across Gotham, Jason Lucas Anderson stepped out of a sleek black car, sleeves rolled halfway as he walked toward the front entrance of his family's newly claimed building. Dozens of police officers stood at the perimeter, weapons drawn, eyes fixed on the shattered lower floors where Killer Croc had vanished hours ago. The air was tense. Thick with the scent of fear.

Jason adjusted his cuffs, a small smirk tugging at his lips as he answered calmly.

"Yes. Don't get me wrong—Livewire, Harley, Katana... they could've handled it. But you? You're efficient. Smart. Surgical."He paused, then added with quiet amusement,"Besides... I figured you deserved a family reunion."

A brief silence.

"You knew about that too..." Red Hood's voice was low, tinged with something between anger and weariness.

Jason kept walking, weaving through the police blockade like he owned the place.

"I know a lot of things, Jason. Like how the only reason Croc hasn't torn through those officers out front... is because the Bat politely asked him to wait."

Red Hood chuckled bitterly.

"Bats and Crocs, huh? What does that make you?"

Jason stopped just short of the building's cracked façade. Sunlight gleamed off his watch as he looked ahead, sharp eyes already burning with anticipation.

"Hmm..." He grinned."I think I like being a Cursed Spirit."

The line went dead.

Jason tapped the earpiece again.

"Nia. We still have camera access inside?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good. Make sure you're recording. I want the world to get a first-hand look at the true power... of Jason Anderson."
