Submissive Above, Unrestrained Below

Chapter 135

Chapter 135: The Fearsome Otherworldly Being

“That’s not difficult.” The Old Tree immediately nodded, then said, “I intended to teach you the Dual Unity Technique. To open the Dharma Palace, you must experience the step of ‘Locking the Soul and Splitting the Body.’ Once you achieve this step, when you borrow the laws, your blood and energy will no longer be in chaos, allowing you to practice your martial arts without hindrance.”

With that, the Old Tree used its powerful spiritual energy to transmit the Locking the Soul and Splitting the Body technique into Chen Ansheng’s mind.

Chen Ansheng accepted it, planning to review it later.

He then cupped his hands in thanks and said, “Senior, if that’s the case, does it mean that my dual cultivation of technique and martial arts is actually a transitional phase to the Dual Unity Technique?”

“Exactly.”

As the Old Tree spoke, its branches suddenly trembled violently.

“Hmph, that otherworldly being is coming to test my restrictions again. Young friend, I must go now. If you have any questions in the future, you can come directly to the Long Bone Forbidden Area and speak with my true self.”

“Understood, senior.”

Chen Ansheng knew that the old man would consume precious celestial energy using the attachment spirit method, so he agreed.

The old man’s consciousness left the Old Tree.

Chen Ansheng continued to soak in the Clear Water Pool, and the spiritual energy in the pool was almost depleted.

He then checked his physique.

Two thousand ink crystals hadn’t allowed him to reach a royal-grade physique.

This wasn’t surprising; higher-grade physiques required more resources for enhancement.

Soon, Chen Ansheng tossed over ten thousand ink crystals into the pool before the water became saturated.

Several hours later, his physique upgraded to royal grade!

After reaching the royal-grade physique, Chen Ansheng’s blood energy circulation speed also improved.

“Seven hundred and twenty cycles in a breath! What’s going on?”

Chen Ansheng couldn’t help but be surprised.

Previously, he had relied on his own cultivation for the speed improvement of his blood energy.

This time, he had been engaged in conversation with the old man and hadn’t cultivated at all, yet his blood energy circulation speed had surged!

After some thought, Chen Ansheng speculated that stepping into a royal-grade physique was like a cultivator breaking through a certain threshold, resulting in this unexpected enhancement.

“It seems that if I continue to practice diligently, the speed of my blood energy circulation will increase rapidly!”

However, Chen Ansheng temporarily set aside his cultivation and prepared to go to the Long Bone Abyss to see how that otherworldly being was faring.

With that in mind, Chen Ansheng left the Clear Water Pool and arrived at the Long Family estate.

“Jiu You, come here quickly.”

Chen Ansheng’s mental voice echoed out, and a storm of dragon breath pressure suddenly erupted from the distance.

Boom!

A black dragon, as if flying out from another dimension, soared through the sky, its massive and powerful body twisting and causing ripples in the space around it.

In the blink of an eye, the black dragon had flown above the Long Family.

“Servant Jiu You pays respects to the young master.”

“Mm, follow me.”

Chen Ansheng nodded lightly.

Just as he was about to ride the black dragon and leave, Long Que and the others arrived upon hearing the news.

“Brother Chen, where are you going? Do you want us to accompany you?” Long Que asked, cupping his hands.

“I’m just going to take care of a small matter. You don’t need to follow,” Chen Ansheng replied.

“Then we won’t disturb you any further.” Long Que and the others retreated.

With a flicker, Chen Ansheng appeared atop the black dragon, “To the Long Bone Abyss!”

The black dragon trembled at his command and replied in surprise, “Young master, the Long Bone Abyss is dangerous.”

“What are you afraid of? If there’s danger, you can go die while I don’t have to lift a finger,” Chen Ansheng laughed.

The black dragon froze, not daring to say more, and shot into the clouds, flying eastward.

As they flew grandly along, everyone they passed—be it demons or human cultivators—bowed down and worshiped.

About half an hour later.

The black dragon flew into a dark abyss, where the laws were chaotic, and bones littered the ground, creating a chilling atmosphere.

If Chen Ansheng hadn’t known that this was the abode of that senior, he would have felt a bit apprehensive.

“Roar!”

Not long after entering the Long Bone Abyss, Chen Ansheng and the black dragon heard a cold, emotionless roar echoing through the depths, lingering in the air.

The black dragon was spooked by the sound, trembling as it replied, “Young master, I don’t know what kind of demon that is, but its presence is not any weaker than ours. Be careful.”

Chen Ansheng gestured for the black dragon to halt, then said, “You’re tough-skinned and fleshy, go take the lead while I provide support from behind.”

Although the black dragon felt a real fear, how could it dare disobey its master’s command?

So, it reluctantly responded with a yes and transformed into a humanoid figure, flying toward the direction of the roar.

Chen Ansheng followed behind, keeping a safe distance from the black dragon, ensuring he had enough time to escape if that otherworldly being was too strong.

Before long, a purple aura glowed ahead.

“Boom! Boom!”

A purple figure swung its fist, desperately striking against a wall of law restrictions blocking its path.

“You wretched being, how dare you!”

The next moment, a shadow holding a long spear materialized from the restriction wall.

“Roar!”

The purple being howled fiercely, lunging at the shadow with the spear.

The two clashed, creating a tremor in space, the laws wildly swirling.

In the span of a breath, at least a thousand attacks and defenses occurred, moving so fast that even Chen Ansheng found it almost surreal.

“Indeed very strong!”

Chen Ansheng felt the violent shockwaves and silently acknowledged that the purple being had truly reached the limit of the Ninth Stage of Immortal cultivation.

After a brief fierce battle, the shadow with the long spear suddenly thrust its spear against the purple being’s chest.

That fierce spear failed to injure it, and instead, the long spear of law snapped.

Seizing the opportunity, the purple being charged forward, punching at the shadow.

“Crack…”

The law fractured, and the shadow collapsed.

After shattering the obstructing shadow, the purple being grew even more frenzied. Its body shuddered, unleashing a tremendous purple light that crashed against the restriction ahead.

After several impacts, the wall of restrictions finally developed numerous cracks and seemed likely to break soon.

“Jiu You, why are you still frozen? Go fight for me!”

“Yes, young master!”

The black dragon received the command and transformed into a streak of light, charging toward the purple being.

“Roar!”

The overwhelming dragon breath and celestial power morphed into nine-headed evil serpents, pouncing toward the purple being.

The purple being seemed very angered by the intrusion.

It unleashed several beams of purple light. Any nine-headed evil serpent touched by this light dissipated into black fog, proving to be no match at all.

Meanwhile, the black dragon had reached the purple being, its fierce dragon claws descending toward the purple creature’s head.

To the black dragon’s amazement, the purple being didn’t attempt to evade.

“Bang!”

The dragon claw struck the purple being’s head but didn’t budge it at all; rather, the black dragon’s claws shattered some of its scales.

“What the hell? How is its defense so freakishly strong!”

The black dragon was taken aback and wanted to retreat, but unexpectedly, the purple being had already flashed behind it.

Boom!

A punch was thrown!

The black dragon bore the brunt of the punch from the purple being, its back scales shattered, and its figure flew backward like a shooting star, crashing heavily against the restriction wall ahead.

Behind, Chen Ansheng couldn’t help but feel alarmed at the sight.

This otherworldly being was stronger than he had imagined.

“I can’t afford to provoke it; it’s better to leave first!”

As Chen Ansheng began to make his escape, an inexplicable chill ran down his spine.

Suddenly, his celestial sense expanded rapidly, and he discovered two strangely powerful purple figures standing behind him.
