Strongest Maniac: Born in an Asylum

Chapter 11: Classmates, I'm Coming to Visit You

Leo stood at the bus stop, waiting for bus number 666. He seemed out of place among the other people there—quiet, and indifferent to his surroundings.

The bus slowly pulled over.

Beep!

Student card.

He walked to the back of the bus and found a seat, looking out the window at the passing scenery. Then, he took out his smartphone from his pocket. The screen lit up, prompting for a password.

He stared at it for a moment, then tapped his finger, entering the code.

« 8858. »

In the messaging app, the once-lively class chat group had been silent since the end of the first period that morning.

Chen Yang: Classmates, are you all okay?

He had entered this strange world, and the mission in his head was bizarre: to become someone in school that no one dared to bully.

He found this request strange. I'm just minding my own business, not bothering anyone. Why would anyone want to bully me?

Very strange.

Dong: "..."

Ming: "..."

...

Not long after he sent the message, classmates began to reply. But their replies confused Leo. He didn't understand what "six dots" meant.

Chen Yang: Fellow students, you worked so hard studying that you fell asleep on the floor, caught a cold, and had to be hospitalized. As your classmate, I plan to visit you in the hospital this afternoon.

Dong: "???"

Zack: "???"

Zane: "???"

...

Leo stared at the screen, lost in thought. He didn't understand what his classmates' messages meant.

He thought for a moment.

Perhaps it meant there was no need to be so polite.

Or maybe…

They were moved!

"East Square station."

Leo stood up and got off the bus. He walked into the residential complex and returned home. As he opened the door, the fragrant smell of food wafted through the air.

A voice came from the kitchen. "Yang Yang, you're back. Go wash your hands first. Mommy will have dinner ready soon."

It was always just the two of them in the house.

Leo never saw the male head of the household. It was always the female head of the household, busy with chores.

Not long after, dinner was served.

"Yang Yang, today Mommy made your favorite braised chicken wings. Your father wanted to eat them, but Mommy wanted to make them for you." The middle-aged woman placed a chicken wing in Leo's bowl. "I've already spoken with your father. He'll make time to go to the school this afternoon."

"You have to understand your father. He works very hard. He goes to the company very early every day and comes home very late at night. Everything he does is for our family, so you have to work hard too."

Leo lowered his head and ate. The food tasted very good, much better than what they served at the Green Mountain Asylum. But after all this time, his taste buds had grown accustomed to that flavor.

It was like smoking. There were many types of cigarettes, but you always preferred the one you were used to.

Not because it was the best, but because it was a habit.

"My classmates were hospitalized this morning. I'm going to visit them this afternoon," Leo said.

The woman said happily, "That's wonderful! Our Yang Yang is so kind and knows how to maintain good relationships with his classmates. Mommy is very pleased. If your father knew, he would definitely be proud of you."

Soon, lunch was over.

Leo returned to his room. He sat quietly on the windowsill, looking at the scenery of the residential complex below.

Time passed.

He saw his body's mother on the balcony next door, leaning against the railing, silently smoking a woman's cigarette, staring blankly into the distance.

He searched the memories in his mind.

There weren't many images of the male head of the household.

He rarely saw him.

"The Rulers of Skyworth High" Chat Group.

There were only a dozen or so members in this group. They were all the "bad students" of Skyworth High. They took pleasure in bullying their classmates, bragged about getting zero on their exams, and cheated on tests to show how smart they were.

"Chen Yang from Class 11, Grade 2, does anyone know him?"

"I know him. Isn't he the sissy?"

"This afternoon, Tony got beaten up by Chen Yang. I heard from my friend that Chen Yang punched the wall in the alley at the school entrance and dented it. It scared Tony so much he almost peed his pants."

"Damn! For real?"

"@Tony, bro, come out and tell us what happened."

"@Tony, for real?"

"This guy seems tough. You all better be careful not to mess with him."

The chat group was buzzing.

"I think that's an exaggeration. If Chen Yang was that tough, how could he have been bullied so badly by us?"

"I think it's mostly fake."

Suddenly.

A member posted a picture.

"(photo).jpg, is this the wall you guys were talking about???????"

"???"

"..."

"Holy crap..."

The lively chat group fell silent, as if everyone had been muted.

"My house is right next to the school. When I heard what you guys were saying, I went to check it out. It's really dented. It's a fist print, and there's blood on it. Chen Yang is that strong. If that punch had hit one of us, who could have taken it?"

Time passed.

The members of the group fell silent. At school, they were invincible little tyrants, taking pleasure in bullying the weak. But at home, they had to face the wrath of their parents.

It was one thing to bully ordinary students.

But when they met a tough guy, they were naturally scared.

Afternoon.

Leo took the money the woman gave him and left the house. He went to the store, walked around, and fell into thought. What should he buy?

He looked at the 200 dollars in his hand.

He felt he could buy a lot of things.

But with so many classmates, what should he buy?

The shopkeeper asked, "Young man, what are you looking to buy? Is it a gift?"

"Yes," Leo nodded.

The shopkeeper said enthusiastically, "Then you can buy two cartons of milk. Milk is always a good gift."

Leo looked at the 200 Dollars again. Would milk be enough for everyone?

"I need two cartons of milk, fifty dollars each, and a hundred dollars worth of sausages," Leo said, placing the 200 dollars on the counter. He felt this was the best distribution.

The shopkeeper looked at Leo. It was the first time she had met a customer like this.

But the customer is always right.

As long as you pay.

Even if you wanted a hot steaming pile of crap, she wouldn't say a word and would immediately go to the bathroom and get it for you.

Leo left with two cartons of milk and a hundred sausages.

The shopkeeper curiously ran to the door and watched Leo's retreating back.

"What a strange young man."

She always felt there was something strange about this student. How should she put it? To be blunt would be insulting, but without saying it, she couldn't explain his behavior.

It was just that this place seemed to have some problems.

The Hospital.

Leo didn't know which ward his classmates were in. He stood outside the hospital for a long time, thinking.

Then, carrying his things, he began to search floor by floor.

If he started from the first floor, he would definitely find his classmates' ward.

At this moment.

At the top of the stairs in the inpatient area, a student in a school uniform could be seen, carrying things, checking floor by floor.

Until…

The 18th floor.

He finally found it.
