Chapter 11: Strongest Gacha God ch11 A team of misfits pt2.
The stars glistened faintly in the dark skies and yet Felix found himself not admiring their beauty today.
His shoulders were tensed, his breath slow and careful while his gaze wandering had it's primarily focused on the campfire he sat before.
To his left was a beautiful woman of impressive height with wine wavy hair.
Sitted on a mat, she rested her hands on top of it and bathed in the moonlight.
She was scary so he quickly took his eyes of her and towards the individual to his right.
The individual to his right was a petite woman with blonde hair cut to her shoulder.
Her appearance almost flower like was charming to the eyes and yet it wasn't those that drew his attention but her long thin ears.
"A real life elf." He muttered in amazement, the urge to grope those beautiful thin ears growing by the second.
"What?"
In contrast to her apperance though, the elf whom he had gotten to know was called Evelyn wasn't a pleasant individual.
Rude, cold and bitter, those would be the words to perfectly describe her so for his own safety he has chosen to not get on her bad side.
"You're the first elf I'm met so I guess I was a bit charmed."He chuckled.
" Woah... you're so smooth Felix."
Cheering him on was Marcus sitted on the otherside of the fireplace.
He was the most friendly of the bunch but there was something uncanny about him which Felix couldn't understand.
While he wondered what Marcus deal was, Evelyn opened her mouth to speak but as if remembering something unpleasant paused before continuing sharpening her dagger.
"Yo Evelyn the kid's making a move on you atleast humor him abit."
"Wait I'm not..."
"Since you're his spokesman, Marcus tell him I'm not interested."
For some reason Felix whom had been trying to defend himself from Marcus's accusations felt dejected.
He hadn't even professed love and yet here he was getting rejected.
"Yo loseened up kid."
Before he knew it, Marcus was crouched behind him causing in to flinch.
"Eh...how are you so fast?" He inquired trying to regain his composure.
"Well speed is my specialty, in a fight ofcourse."
Boasting proudly he placed his arms around Felix's neck, the latter too afraid to break free.
" Like I was saying kid. Don't fret over Evelyn rejection. She ain't the only woman around."
" But I..."
" Shhhh."
Placing one of his fingers on Felix's lips, he pointed at the final member of the team, the red haired witch whom was silently engrossed in reading.
" You see that nerd over there?"
" Yes."
" Beautiful isn't she."
" I guess." He nodded along.
The witch was undoubtedly the most beautiful woman he had seen but that was only for him to know.
" She's single and I heard she's looking to mingle."
" I see."
" Really."
Disappointed by his reaction, Marcus leaned closer and stared at him like a long lost friend.
"Normally I wouldn't have minded taking such a jewel of the road but alas a jewel has already taken me. So as a good friend it's only right I offer you said jewel."
"I..."
"Just got and talk to her."
"Yes."
Quickly breaking out his touch, he nodded and circled around the fireplace before taking a seat beside the red haired witch.
From there he saw Marcus grinning from ear to ear like a demon whom had successfully watched it's prey fall into a trap.
"Ah.. what have I gotten myself into."
Holding his head in sheer irritation at his situation, he glance at the witch whom still hadn't noticed his new sitting arrangement.
A bit confused on how to proceed,he chose not to interact only to gave up that idea when Marcus stared daggers at him.
Bringing his palms together in a pleading manner, he begged.
He really was scared of the group and didn't want to do anything that would place too much attention on him.
He was just sticking to them and didn't want to leave any form of impression.
Perphaps sympathizing with him, Diesel whom had been watching all this while, balled her right palm into a fist and slammed it down on Marcus skull.
A heavy thud followed and Marcus his pupils rolling back on the spot collapsed onto the ground.
Every form of gratitude Felix was about to feel for Disel disappeared as he shudder in fear at her strength.
Soon he hugged his body, mentally commanding Fortune whom was observing him from a distance to keep watch of his body as he slept.
--------------
Out of paranoid his sleep couldn't be achieved.
For hours his gaze lingered on the flickering fireplace and when it seems like a semblance of sleep was engulfing him, images of a dark future where all that greeted him.
The future wasn't about the world but him.
It was a dream of being tortured by the team and it scared him because ot seemed possible by the second.
They were strangers to each other.
Just as he suspected them of being possibly homicidal so too did they find his appearance uncanny.
To them he had spawned out of nowhere claiming he had amnesia and was lost.
A cliche backstory for a cunning villain.
Ignoring the fact that they seem to be transporting something important, they all didn't seem like hornable individuals.
They were the kind that could as easily befriend him and also dispose of him hence why he had his summon observing their antics from close by.
He couldn't sleep but he could plan especially for the worst case scenario.
Outnumbered and overpowered that was his situation.
Keeping that conclusion to heart he chose to remain composured and glance at the witch engrossed in her book.
"A witch."
[Witches and wizards are titles given individual whom have mastered a branch of magic.]
"Are they different from mages?"
[A mage is a class while a witch is a title. All witchs are mages but not all mages are witches.]
"Thanks for the info."
Gaining more insight about the world he was in, he finally felf a sense of relief and closed his eyes for a little shut eye.
One he wanted to be undisturbed.
