STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

As time passes, Jeremy continues to pay attention to his body. He forgot about the outside world.

Meanwhile,

Sinag and Ada were paying attention to the surroundings. They had escaped from one danger. But the crisis was not over.

They could come across other Tier-5 Corrupted beasts. So they must keep an eye on the surroundings.

Sinag then thought of something and said," Why don't we spend the night here?"

"Jeremy Night is still injured. He needed rest right now," She added.

Hearing that Ada agrees with her. She doesn't want to face more danger. Only Jeremy the Night can confront the Tier-5 Corrupted Beast.

They needed Jeremy Night's help for their survival as well. If the explosives run out, then no one would be able to save them.

Meanwhile,

Charles was able to find a spot to rest. He was running nonstop earlier.

After confirming that there was no threat around them, he began to rest. The spot has small bedrock. He was resting at its foot.

While resting, he couldn't help but recall the events.

"That was a Tier-5 Snake beast," Charles said in his heart.

At that time, he fled without turning back. Now he has started to think about others. He doesn't know whether they have survived or not.

"Leader Gisela won't let me go," He uttered.

Now he was stuck. He didn't know what to do. He doesn't think others are alive. He had assumed that the Tier-5 Corrupted Beast had killed others.

After giving some thought, he had decided to visit the nearby human settlements. Once he reaches the place, he will decide what to do next.

He then puts some sensor devices around him before going to sleep.

On the other hand, Jeremy knows what's going on outside. After some time, he told Sinag and Ada to sleep.

Both of their tents were not far from here. So they both went back to bring their tents.

About 20 minutes later,

They found another safe spot before arranging the tents. Both the female beast tamers went inside to sleep.

Jeremy opened his eyes and started to pay attention to the surroundings. He was glad that they used their explosives at the right time.

Time passed,

The next morning, Sinag and Ada walked out of the tent. They saw that Jeremy Night was still awake. They realised that both had deep sleep.

They had failed to keep night watch. The next second, they apologised to him.

But Jeremy Night doesn't care. He said," It's time to leave. We should be returning to the city before nighttime."

Hearing that Ada and Sinag nodded their heads. They thought that Jeremy Night needed treatment.

About 30 minutes later,

After packing their things, they have started their journey. Fortunately, they didn't come across any other beasts last night.

Because of it, their energy is at its peak right now.

As time passed, they continued to walk on the path. From time to time, they came across corrupted beasts. But they were all Tier-2 Beasts.

Three of them didn't waste their energy fighting against them. Upon sensing their strength, the Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts fled in fear.

While walking, Jeremy continuously practised the inner healing breathing method. The inner healing method has special healing energy, which can heal internal wounds.

Because of it, his complexion improves as time passes.

But Sinag and Ada don't know about it. They were surprised how Jeremy Night is doing this.

Rustle!

At this moment, Jeremy's eyes spotted the corrupted beasts hiding behind the bushes. He was sure that those beasts were bigger.

He was sure that there were no Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts of that size. He then pauses his footsteps all of a sudden.

Seeing that Sinag and Ada were taken aback. They saw that Jeremy's expression was serious.

"What happened?" Sinag asked.

Jeremy pointed his fingers towards the direction of the bushes. Then they turned towards the bushes as well. They could only see the shape of the beasts.

But they were not sure what type of corrupted beast it was.

But Jeremy was able to see clearly because of his eyesight. It's a six-legged hybrid salamander. What more? He found out that corrupted beasts appear to be larger and stronger than the Tier-4 beasts.

"It's a Tier-5 Corrupted Beast," Jeremy took a deep breath.

They had faced a Tier-5 Corrupted Beast last night. It had almost beaten him to death. Finally, they had to use those explosives to kill it.

Now, there is another one hiding nearby. Any sudden movement could cause the beast to appear. Jeremy doesn't know what to do.

Sinag and Ada were clueless. But if they saw the beast they would be frozen in fear.

Swoosh!

A red salamander rushes out of the bushes. The humongous size startles everyone. Seeing the beast of at least 50 feet tall.

Jeremy confirms that it's a Tier-5 Corrupted Beast. He glances at the female beast tamers behind him. He saw them petrified on the spot.

Seeing that he sighs inside. But he knows it's time to be calm and collected.

The Red salamander was observing them. If it wanted to act, it would have done so already. Instead, the red beast is still cautiously looking at them.

The Red Salamander suddenly senses something before disappearing into the wilderness.

This scene has further scared them. Jeremy's expression turned grave. It's one thing if the Tier-5 Beast confronts them.

If it's not, then there must be some reason.

"It's gone," Sinag said after some difficulty.

Ada came back to her senses as well.

"We should leave this place ASAP. Let's run," Jeremy said to them.

Sinag and Ada started to run as if they were running for their lives. Jeremy is running alongside them. So far, he hadn't seen anything through his eyesight.

But he doesn't want to take any chances. Who knows? Could these be Tier-6 beasts coming?

Time passed,

They were running non-stop for more than an hour. Yet there were no other corrupted beasts following them from behind.

Jeremy uses his eyes to confirm the situation.

"Stop!"

Jeremy said to them.

Sinag and Ada stopped running. As Tier-3 Beast Tamers, they can still run non-stop for another hour. But their hearts are filled with fear.

They worried that something worse than Tier-5 Beast could appear.

"There are no other threats. We can relax," Jeremy said with a smile.

Seeing that Jeremy was relaxing. Both the female beast tamers let out a sigh of relief.

Sinag then sees a huge shade tree not far away from them. She decides to take a rest under the tree. She then tells them about it.

Hearing that Jeremy hesitated. They were almost close to the Central part of the outer part of the wilderness.

Once they leave the central part, they can return to the outer part. Then there would be no danger.

"What are you thinking?"Sinag asked.

Jeremy shakes his head and says," It's nothing. Let's just take a rest under the tree."

Then three of them went to a shade tree. Jeremy uses his eyes to check the place again. He found out that the place was fine.

Sinag and Ada found a small bedrock to sit down on. Both of them were in their armour suits. Jeremy was the only one without one.

But he feels lighter. It's just the pain that's making him uncomfortable.

"What was that?"

"Why didn't it attack us?"Ada asked all of a sudden.

She was still in shock. The Red Salamander was so close to them at that time. If it had attacked, they don't know what the situation would look like.

Jeremy raised his eyebrows. Even he was confused about that. He had thought that the beast had fled because of some other powerful beasts.

Now he realises there are other reasons. Jeremy then saw Sinag who appears to be in deep thought.

"Captain Sinag, what are you thinking?" He asked.

Hearing that Ada turned towards her as well. She knows her reaction. If she had this deep thinking, then she must have found something suspicious.

Sinag raises her head and looks at them.

She said," I guess you are new to the 10th zone. So perhaps you didn't know?"

"That Red Salamander was not an ordinary Tier-5 Corrupted Beast. It has bright red patterns all over its body."

"I guess it's one of those kinds," She added.

"One of those kinds?" Jeremy uttered in doubt.

Ada's eyes flickered with understanding.

She said," Do you think only Beast Tamers got talent?"

Jeremy's expression changes. It's not like he didn't know. He had escaped from the clutches of Tier-5 and Tier-6 Corrupted Beasts before.

It's just the talent thing that didn't cross his mind so far. Now that she has mentioned it. He, too, thinks that Red Salamander was different from other Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts.

Suddenly, he thought of something.

"Could it be?"

"Is it possible that it's a lifeline beast?" Jeremy asked.

Hearing that Sinag nodded her head seriously.

"Which explains why it didn't attack us?" Ada uttered.

Jeremy once again uses his eyes to observe the surroundings.
