STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 325: Part 1: First mission (10th Zone)

Armory:

Jeremy Night then turned towards the right side. He saw different types of armor suits inside the glass display.

"There are different types of armor suits. Depending on a beast tamer's body strength, they can choose their armor suits," Sinag said in a serious tone.

Jeremy frowned. He had just started practicing a new blade technique yesterday. If he fought wearing this thing, it would affect his speed and blade strikes.

But then, considering the hostile environment in the wilderness, he thought about how he could never know when a Tier-5 beast might sneak attack him.

Even if he got hit once, it could leave him bedridden for months.

"What are you thinking?" Sinag asked, sensing that the newcomer was worried about something.

"How am I supposed to select?" Jeremy asked.

Hearing this, she pointed towards a small chamber.

"Wait for the staff to arrive. Once you get inside, they will scan your body. Then they will give you a suitable armor suit," she replied.

Jeremy nodded to her. It didn't take long for the staff to arrive. Someone had informed them just a few minutes ago. He was a middle-aged man dressed in a combat uniform.

"Mr. Carlos. We are going for a mission. He is Jeremy Night, the 10th team member. He needs an armor suit," Sinag said straightforwardly.

"So you guys are really going for the mission," Carlos said. He had been in the staff room and overheard the discussion as well. But he hadn't expected it to be true.

"Alright, I'll start the work. Jeremy Night, you can enter the chamber," he said.

Hearing that, Jeremy did as he was told. Inside the chamber, a blue light began to scan from the top of his body.

Shortly afterwards, Mr. Carlos was ready with models. The only suitable model for Jeremy Night was the basic one. He knew that the kid was a Tier-2 Beast Tamer.

All of their products started from Tier-3. He had found a piece made not long ago, intended for display. But he never thought anyone could use it.

He then said, "This armor suit is the only one available for a Tier-2 Beast Tamer. It was made long ago for display purposes."

"Just wear it for today. If you find anything uncomfortable, you can report it after the mission. Don't think of it as junk. It was made with special materials as well," Carlos added.

Jeremy thanked him.

"Okay, you can wear your suit here," Carlos said.

Sinag entered another room to wear her suit. Jeremy Night's gaze settled on the black suit.

He touched the body and found it to have a hard and smooth surface. The metal body was less than one inch thick.

He could easily carry the armor suit, so the weight was not a problem. Under the gaze of Mr. Carlos, he walked inside the room.

Inside the room, he removed the scabbard with the sheathed blade. He took off the gun case as well.

Then he began to wear the armor suit. He wondered why this technology was not popularized in the 14th zone. Maybe the corrupted beasts living there were not as dangerous as in this place.

After pushing down those thoughts, he focused on the black metal armor suit. He wore the headgear and then the helmet. He felt a difference after putting on the suit.

There was some extra weight on him. Then he wore the gun case and scabbard belt. Fortunately, he was able to wear them. Otherwise, he would have had to place them inside the storage bracelet.

Then he walked out of the room. He felt a little heavy with each step. It was going to take time to adapt.

"It suits you."

Jeremy heard a voice from behind. He saw Sinag in a female black suit. The quality of her suit looked ten times better than his.

"All the best for your first mission," Carlos said.

"Thanks," Jeremy replied.

Then they left the armory and went to the exit.

On the way, many curious gazes spotted them. Both of them walked out of the building. Then they saw someone waiting for them.

He was another staff member who was going to drop them off at the location. Jeremy felt it was convenient. Then they entered the vehicle.

Shortly afterwards, the flying car hovered above the ground and started moving towards the location.

"Since it's your first mission, I'm going to tell you some important things. First, don't trust others, especially if someone speaks nicely and asks you for your help."

"There are rivalries between organizations as well. There have been many unspeakable deaths. So don't forget to watch your back," Sinag said.

Jeremy's eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

"Don't worry. I will keep an eye on you as well. Since we are going to join another team, it's possible that Beast Tamers from hostile factions will be present. That's why I'm reminding you," Sinag said.

"Thank you," Jeremy replied.

The driver remained calm from the beginning, as if he had heard newcomers go through this process many times.

The car flew across the buildings in the air lane. There were other flying cars in front and behind them as well. It didn't take long for them to arrive in front of the white building, which was the City Hall.

The car landed on the road. Sinag thanked the staff before stepping out. Seeing that, Jeremy did the same. It was the first time for him doing something like this. He had never fought using the armor suit.

But Leader Gisela had made him join the mission. Maybe it was going to be some kind of test. Just as they were waiting, Jeremy spotted some people coming from a distance.

There were eight of them. He used his eye ability to zoom in. Then he saw everyone's faces clearly. They were laughing and chatting while looking at them. It was obvious that they were discussing something.

It was a pity that he didn't have super hearing senses. But anything was possible with an unknown beast egg. If the beast had super eyesight, then its other senses must be powerful as well.

.....

City Hall:

Sinag Clark also notices the people as they get closer. Among the eight of them, she recognizes four. They are all from the Sun Wheel Organisation.

All eight of them are Tier-3 Beast Tamers. They are all experienced. Otherwise, the city administration wouldn't have contacted their organization.

The four of them are middle-aged men. A middle-aged man with a long, sharp nose recognizes Sinag Clark. His name is Butch Bart.

Together with the other three middle-aged men, their names are Dalton, Cassidy, and Billy.

"Oh my! Who do we have here?"

"She is the 3rd squad Captain Sinag," the sharp-nosed middle-aged man uttered.

Hearing that, the faces of the three of them change drastically. They didn't expect to see their enemy here, especially such a high-profile target. Their eyes turn cold.

The other four beast tamers are from a different mercenary organization. They know about the enmity between the Sun Wheel Organisation and the Shadow Moon Organisation.

They are not going to take part in it. Once the mission is done, they will return to their respective organizations.

Sinag's heart turns cold as well. She remembers Jeremy Night is with her, too. She then whispers in Jeremy Night's ear about their identities one by one.

The eight of them stand near them, waiting for the authorities to arrive. Meanwhile, four of the Sun Wheel Organisation's members are looking at Sinag Clark and a new face.

"Who is he?" Butch asks.

He knows about everyone in the Shadow Moon Organisation. So who is the newcomer?

"Brother Butch, you may not have heard the news. The Shadow Moon Organisation has recruited a newcomer not long ago."

"He must be that newcomer," the middle-aged man, Dalton, says. He considers Butch a brother. They have done a lot of missions together.

It's the same case with Cassidy and Billy. There are not many people who command such respect in the Sun Wheel Organisation.

Among their Elite Tier-3 Beast Tamers, Brother Butch is among them. It's a pity that their brother Butch has A-Grade Talent. Otherwise, he would have become their Squad Captain.

"What's his name?" Butch asks.

"Brother, he is Jeremy Night. He seems to be a first-year student from the 14th zone. He became famous by killing a Tier-4 beast," Dalton says in a serious tone.

"Harumph!"

"A Tier-4 corrupted beast. What a lie!" Butch says with a snort.

He thinks something is wrong with the brains of the Shadow Moon Organisation people.

"Brother, you are right. I just saw him a moment ago. He is a Tier-2 Beast Tamer," Cassidy says. Compared to the other three, he is heavily built.

"Tier-2? Maybe we could use this opportunity to kill him. If I'm not wrong, his name must be on the kill list as well," Butch says.

Hearing that, the faces of the other three light up. They know about the kill list. Their enemy organisation's elite beast tamers are all on it.

As long as one can kill the beast tamers on the kill list, they can earn rewards and resources.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night's heart stirs. Just now, he felt malicious intent from one of them. He thinks this trip is not going to be peaceful.
