Chapter 289: Gisela's plan!
Corporate Building:
Clark returned a few minutes later. He was carrying a flat digital device and a digital copy.
Gisela looked at him and the device in his hands.
"You can check out the digital copy here," Clara said.
Gisela nodded her head. Then she took the digital device and turned it on. Next, she inserted another small device into it, which contained files about Jeremy Night.
She then began to access the files. She opened the first file and began to read in front of them. Clark and Anna looked at each other.
Clearly, both were curious. They didn't know why big figures were after that kid's information, as people usually buy information about the S-Graders.
This was the first time they had seen people showing interest in A-Grade Talent.
On the other hand, Gisela's expression was more interested as she continued to read. The information was about Jeremy Night's family background.
After reading that, she began to read the next file, which was about Central University 14.
About 10 minutes later,
Her heart was a bit shaky. She was feeling it for the first time. She didn't expect information about the talent in Zone 14 to shake her heart.
"An A-Grade Beast Tamer is doing better than two S-Graders," she thought.
The file also had information about Jeremy Night defeating S-Grade Talent May Lindsey before. It showed that Jeremy Night's combat talent was greater than she had thought.
What shocked her was the ability to fight across ranks. It was reported that Jeremy Night had killed a Tier-3 Beast during the admission test and beast invasion.
Now he had become strong enough to defeat a Tier-4 beast. This intel was enough to back up Jeremy Night's background information.
She thought the founder, Neil, would be satisfied with this information. Next, she needed to meet him in person before thinking about the contract.
She and her organization were interested in recruiting the talent. But she didn't know whether Jeremy Night was interested.
There was also additional information mentioned. It was about unknown people after that kid's life. Her eyes flashed with a glint. She was not surprised.
There had always been such groups of people existing everywhere.
Gisela then stood up and stored the devices in her ring. She then looked at them and said, "Thanks for the information."
"Don't mention it. If you need anything, you can come again," Clark replied in a respectful tone.
"Thanks for the visit," Anna said from the side.
Gisela nodded to them before exiting the building. She then came to the main street and found a flying cab to enter.
Swoosh!
When the cab was gone from the place, the two people inside the building looked at each other.
"Did you find something?" Anna asked.
"Yes, she is stronger than us. Only City Governors can stop her," Clark said in a serious tone.
Gasp!
Anna took a sharp breath before saying, "I felt the same way. But why is such a powerhouse after that kid's information?"
"It doesn't matter. It could be the Human Alliance. We should be careful not to offend them," Clark said before turning around to go to his room.
Anna nodded her head as well. It's not good to mess with the Human Alliance people.
About 20 minutes later,
Gisela returned to her hotel. After entering her room, she locked the door and began to go through the information again.
She then spent time going through the information again. Then she started to think about her next plan. She had made up her mind to meet this kid in person.
In person, she could discern unknown details. If she wanted, she could visit the university, but by doing so, she feared the exposure of her identity.
Nobody knew about her visit to Zone 14. If the forces in the 10th learned about her, then it could lead to an unwanted situation.
She just wanted to meet him to talk about the Shadow Moon Organisation. If Jeremy Night agreed to join the organization, then she would make him sign the contract on the spot.
She started to think about a plan. From the information, she learned another fact: that kid had a habit of going to the wilderness to train. Maybe she should visit the wilderness to meet the kid.
...
Days passed:
Central University 14,
Jeremy Night exited the dormitory and started going towards the entrance. He had been staying on campus for several days. It was time for him to visit the wilderness.
He had been planning to upgrade his combat gear. For that, huge money was needed. With his ability to fight against Tier-4 Beasts, he was thinking of making more money.
Soon, he reached the campus gate and walked out of the place. When he came to the main street, he found a few flying cabs waiting for customers at the platform.
Jeremy walked up to the platform. He then spoke to one of the cab drivers before entering his cab.
Buzz!
Shortly afterward, the flying cab left from the spot. At the same time, the other cab driver took out his digital device and made a call to someone.
Meanwhile,
Gisela had been camping in the wilderness ever since that day. She was staying close to the city gate and keeping a close watch on the beast tamers.
She had also bribed a few cab drivers stationed at the university's platform and the city gate's platform.
A few minutes later,
She received a call from one of them. Then she learned about Jeremy Night's departure from one of the cab drivers. Her eyes lit up. No one knew about her presence.
She had been staying here anonymously. Now that kid was going to enter the wilderness. She got an opportunity to observe his performance.
Swoosh!
After pushing down her thoughts, she went close to the city gate.
Time passed,
Jeremy Night arrived at the City Gate. After stepping out, he paid the fare to the driver. After turning around, he looked at the place. He used his eye ability to observe the city gate and the people passing by.
He wanted to confirm whether people were still after his life. Jeremy's eyes were zooming in and out. He could tell that there were no suspicious people around.
He didn't know what happened to the Goldcorp Organisation. He knew that their people were really after his life. Yet all of a sudden, they had quieted down.
He could understand the senior students' situation. They and their families behind them had all been silenced by the Dean. But he didn't know anything about the Goldcorp Organisation.
After spending a few more minutes, he started walking towards the City Gate. When he arrived there, he stood at the back of the queue.
The city guards were checking people's identities one by one. He had been to the wilderness so many times that he was familiar with the city guards there.
When his turn came, he was about to show his card. But the city guard smiled and allowed him to leave. Jeremy thanked him before walking out of the city gate.
He then started going towards the wilderness. Not long after, he noticed a shadow starting to follow him from behind.
Jeremy had no clue whatsoever. He was looking for Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts to hunt.
As time passed, he came across lower-tier beasts. But he ignored all of them. Soon, he entered the territory of the inner part of the wilderness.
It didn't take long for him to come across a Tier-3 Wild Boar. Jeremy's eyes flashed with surprise. It was very rare to see a wild boar reach the level of Tier-3.
He decided to ignore it. But the wild boar dashed out towards him. Seeing that, Jeremy shook his head before unsheathing his katana.
He covered the sharp edge of the blade with new starlight energy in the blink of an eye.
Swoosh!
His senses heightened. When the wild boar was a few meters away from him, he used his eye ability to look for its weak spot.
Cut!
Right then, he swiftly moved his body to attack the beast. He swung the sword.
Pfff!
The blade in his hand came in contact with the neck of the beast. In a flash, the blade penetrated the skin.
The next second, a torrent of blood gushed forth from the beast's neck.
Screech!
The wild boar tried to make a sound. But before it could do anything, its head was severed from its body.
The decapitated head rolled over the ground. The beast's corpse slowly fell to the ground.
Jeremy's mouth curved into an arc. It was a pity that a rare Tier-3 beast had died at his hands. But it was the beast's fault.
He then pushed down his thoughts before storing the decapitated head and the corpse.
He knew it was going to sell for good money. Then he collected the beast's corpse and decapitated head into the storage ring.
Just as he was about to leave, he felt someone standing behind him. His eyes flashed with seriousness. His senses couldn't even detect it.
