The world was frozen in a single, breathless moment.

A bird, wings outstretched, hung motionless in the sky, as if painted against the backdrop of a twilight canvas.

There was a strange beauty to it, a quiet stillness that defied the very essence of existence. 

It was as if the world had taken a deep breath and was holding it, waiting for the exhale that would bring everything back to life.

In the grey frozen world, a single figure blinked his eyes

'....What do I do?'

Adam panicked in his thoughts

Even though he paused the world, even though he couldn't move but could think for all he wanted-

The seamless continuation of movement and sound felt like a symphony reaching its crescendo after an unexpected pause.

Time resumed its ceaseless march, indifferent to the brief interlude

And he found himself facing the puzzled expression of his sister

"Hey, Momo! I was playing a character I saw on TV" Adam smiled innocently under the gaze of her incredulous eyes

"Hey there, little one," she murmured, gently lifting him into her arms. His cries subsided, replaced by a contented coo as he nestled against her. 

She looked around, hoping to see someone who might have lost him, but the park was deserted.

A sudden resolve filled her. She couldn't leave him here. 

She wouldn't. 

Cradling Adam close, she made her way home, her mind racing with the implications of her decision.

As she reached her front door, her husband, Mr. Kagenou, emerged from the living room, a puzzled look on his face.

"Emily, what's going on? Whose baby is that?" he asked, eyes wide with surprise.

She took a deep breath, meeting his gaze with determination. "Husband, I found him in the park. His name is Adam. There was no one else around, and I couldn't just leave him there."

He approached with a small frown, his expression complicated as he looked at the tiny boy in her arms. "Are you saying... you want to keep him?"

"Yes," she replied firmly. "I want to adopt him. I know it's sudden, but I felt an instant connection- his features are like our Claire's"

He studied her face, then Adam's, and after a moment, he nodded hesitantly. "Alright. Let's give him a home."

Relief washed over Emily, and she smiled "Thank you, husband"

Wanted to have more interactions with Momo, but they are too young for that

So I just settled for building the foundation of this fanfiction, and paving the way for the future

Also, what do you think of my choice for a world? For me, Eminence in Shadow and Mushoku Tensei are great worlds to start with

Eminence in Shadow is safe, has magic power, a lot of swordsmanship, and most importantly…. A lot of waifus just waiting to be rescued from such an easily curable condition

I mean, if Cid, a 'normal' person could do all that he did in the original source… Then imagine what a person with the Gamer system could do)
