Chapter 55: Diary and Fury's Plan— 2
STELLA'S POV—
Whoever said that the Super Soldier serum worked only on people with clean hearts, is a fool. It's not like that.
This could mean that OG Stella had some mental problems. Her conditions worsened with time. The serum fucked up with her. Sin told me that Carter had some problems too. Then, my predecessor should have as well, and she does. Fuck justice! Fuck her! Ah, all this... all this is due to my weird obsession with Steve. The Marvel comics helped me a lot when I left the army. Like I said before, I connected with Steve. It was this very connection that prompted me to pursue the truth. Now it all seems meaningless.
All my efforts amounted to nothing. This ordeal is nothing but like a penguin flapping its wings to fly. A thought entered my mind. Fury told me that he knew everything from OG Stella's diary. That means he has read it. I rubbed my temples frustratedly. There is not even a single chance in which Fury doesn't know what I know. He must have deduced about her mental problems. Why did he let me go?
I touched my jacket. I took it out and searched it completely. I found nothing. The diary. I tore the diary into two halves. As soon as I tore the diary, something dropped from it. Crouching down, I saw it was a tracker chip. I crushed it in my hand and threw it away. Fuck!! Fuck!!
I rushed towards Sin, who was reading newspaper. My restlessness attracted her attention. She asked, "What happened?"
"We have to leave the house. Now. You have a backdoor or something," she nodded, "I want you to get out of here."
Just with one look, she knew that I was serious. Worry was evident on my face. She asked, "Do I need to?"
I shook my head and said, "I am the only one, who can handle this. It's not about physical prowess. It's about handling the matters correctly and your presence here would definitely make it worse."
"I understand—"
She was interrupted by a knock on the door. I pushed her away. "Go! Now!" I ordered her. Nodding her head, she said, "We will meet after this fiasco is over." Saying that, she went away.
*Bang* I heard a loud sound. They broke the door. Footsteps were flooding towards my direction.
As expected, Fury stepped into the living room. He looked around and asked, "Sin is not here, is she? I never thought that the woman, who defeated Red Skull, has been letting his daughter to fuck her."
I sneered, "It was your plan, wasn't it? You read my diary. Was everything a lie that you told?"
Fury said, "No. I didn't lie to you. You still don't exist; Captain America doesn't exist."
"Yeah? You read my diary. You found that I am mentally unstable. I know what you have planned for me. You are a very cunning and deceptive individual. You devised a plan to control me, and have me under your thumb. You wanted a weapon, don't you?"
Fury clapped his hands. This is bastard is applauding... for my words. He said, "You know sometimes, I wonder if Captain Carter's words are correct. Although, people change with time. That also goes for the people, who are frozen in ice."
He continued, "I thought you could be a member of my initiative. But we don't need someone that fraternizes with their enemy. Captain Carter, you can come in."
A woman with a significant height comes in. Her was brown in colour and she was muscular. She was holding a shield in her hand, and was looking at me with disgust.
"Long time, no see," said the woman.
I scoffed, "I don't have any feelings seeing you, Carter."
"Captain Carter, do your job." Uttering these words, Fury left.
I took my fighting stance, and so did she. For the first time, I made the first move.
