Chapter 2530 Nice Pit Stop

As I expected, Hana's Aunt, Tomori, waited for us when we arrived at her house. She's still in her oversized shirt, as if she doesn't care about being mistaken for a NEET. This time, though, she had thick-rimmed glasses that somehow amplified that image of a woman who's staying in her room all day.

Of course, she's not exactly a NEET but to think she's comfortable to wear this kind of outfit outside, while waiting at the door of her niece's house no less, was kind of baffling.

"Good evening, Tomori-san." I politely greeted her. Instead of calling her Aunt and feeling older than she truly was, she requested for me to address her by her name the last time I met her.

She subtly nodded, her gaze alternating between Hana and me.

"Good job escorting her, Onoda-kun. Do you want to stay for dinner? I figured you'd be coming tonight when that girl told me she'd be late." She said as she pointed at the girl still tightly clinging on my arm.

I maintained my polite smile as I responded while bowing slightly. "Thanks for the offer, Tomori-san. I'd love to stay but I should probably head home tonight. It's been a long day, and I don't want to impose."

Hana's grip on my arm tightened subtly, her fingers pressing into my sleeve as she shot me a quick, sidelong glance.

She didn't say anything, but the faint pout tugging at her lips told me she wasn't thrilled about me leaving so soon. She's still not satisfied with our time together and wanted another extension. I know this is her trying her best to continue competing against my girls to steal me from them. Stealing a minute or even a second is already considered a win for her.
