Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Hitsugaya TōShirō Vs Harribel

"A! A! A..."

The piercing alarm blared suddenly, loud and constant with no pauses.

Its sharp sound spread across the entire Seireitei in just ten seconds. Every Shinigami who heard it felt a chill run down their spine.

"Again!? Why is it happening again!?"

Omaeda, the vice-captain of Squad 2, stared blankly as the alarm rang out. He was starting to question reality.

Lately, this kind of high-level alarm had been sounding way too often—almost every few days.

And this wasn't a small warning. This alarm meant a threat at the captain level. All Shinigami across the Seireitei were required to respond and assist immediately.

It had only been two days of peace. Now, hearing the alarm again, many captains looked up at the sky with twitching faces.

"What is it this time? Another group of invaders?!"

In Squad 4's barracks, Captain Byakuya Kuchiki stared coldly at Kurosaki Ichigo. "Kurosaki Ichigo! Are you people not going to stop?"

It felt like these invaders just kept coming non-stop. This was the Seireitei, not a public restroom.

Ichigo was just as confused. "Don't look at me! I don't know anything about this! Maybe it's Urahara-san and the others?"

Uryu Ishida and Yasutora Sado also looked puzzled. As far as they knew, only a few of them had the power to enter from the human world.

Squad 3 Headquarters

After receiving the alert, Vice-Captain Chōjirō Sasakibe stepped forward with a serious look and began chanting:

"Black and white net! Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns..."

"Footprints, distant thunder, towering peaks, descent to earth..."

"Hidden night, sea of clouds, blue array, fully charged origin..."

"Straight to the sky!"

"Bakudō #77: Tenteikūra!"

In an instant, spiritual energy spread from his body, covering the whole Seireitei in seconds. A powerful communication link activated.

His voice echoed across the area—firm, heavy, and filled with killing intent:

"To all captains—this is not a false alarm. A Menos Grande has entered Seireitei. It's at least an Adjuchas-class Hollow..."

"All squads must prepare immediately. All captains are ordered to eliminate the threat as quickly as possible..."

"This attack may be connected to the traitors Aizen Sōsuke and Ichimaru Gin, now in Hueco Mundo. Use the highest level of caution..."

All the captains' expressions changed drastically.

"A Menos Grande? And not just any, but one of that level... What the hell is Aizen planning now!?"

Elsewhere – In a bar

Captain Kyoraku Shunsui took off his bamboo hat, sighed, and then quickly ran toward the source of the spiritual pressure.

"An Adjuchas-level Menos Grande, huh...?"

Squad 4 Barracks

Zaraki Kenpachi, lying in bed with wounds from his last fight with Captain Unohana, suddenly jumped up, eyes gleaming wildly.

"Hahaha... Now this is interesting! I'm coming too! Ahh—damn, that woman stabbed me in the kidney…!"

Another Area in Seireitei

Shihouin Yoruichi stood up with a serious expression.

"Let's go, Sui-Feng. A Hollow has invaded. As Shinigami, we must go help!"

Right beside her, a blushing Sui-Feng held a toy cat in her hands, quietly saying:

"But Yoruichi-sama... what about—"

"Sit down. Shake hands!"

Yoruichi replied with a straight face.

Once again, just as Seireitei had begun to calm down, chaos erupted across the city.

Shinigami squads mobilized.

All divisions, captains, and lieutenants moved into action.

Meanwhile – 12th Division Streets

Qiye looked around at the clean, peaceful streets and stretched his arms lazily.

"This place is so much nicer than Hueco Mundo... The air's way better here, don't you think?"

Nelliel, who had turned back into her child form, happily sniffed the air while riding on Qiye's shoulder.

"Yeah! It smells so good!"

"Of course," Qiye chuckled. "Hueco Mundo isn't bad, but it's still the home of Hollows. The air always feels heavy and dark. But here in Seireitei, it's bright and clean."

As he spoke, Qiye placed his hand gently on a nearby wall. With a bit of spiritual energy, a small piece of the wall broke off.

"Here, try it. Taste the spirit energy in this."

He handed the chunk to Nel, who took it curiously.

Then her eyes lit up.

"Wow! This spirit energy feels amazing!"

She hugged the wall piece tightly and began absorbing its energy with joy.

Hueco Mundo also had strong spiritual power, but it was wild and untamed. In contrast, the Seireitei refined and purified spirit particles to a whole new level.

For a Menos Grande, this place was like a sacred paradise.

Even the walls and bricks here were made from pure spirit energy.

Compared to the two calm-hearted people around, Kadishe and Bilstein were terrified. They looked around in panic, clearly horrified by their surroundings.

"M-Master Nanaya... Is this... is this the Soul Society?" Kadishe stuttered, his voice trembling.

"Yes," Nanaya nodded. "This is Seireitei, the core of Soul Society. It's basically the same as Kyōno Palace in Hueco Mundo."

"Ahh!! We're doomed! We're so dead, Nanaya-sama! The Shinigami are going to kill us for sure..."

Kadishe was so scared that he threw himself to the ground and clung tightly to Nanaya's leg, trembling.

"Please, let's go back! The Shinigami here are monsters! They'll torture and kill us Menos Grande without hesitation..."

Bilstein was shaking all over too. If the ground had been made of dirt instead of tiles, he might've tried to dig a hole and hide in it.

To Menos Grande, Seireitei was a sacred place full of pure spiritual energy—but it was also a terrifying place ruled by the Shinigami.

No Hollow ever came here and got out unharmed.

Harribel gave a cold snort and drew her Zanpakutō.

"What are you afraid of?" she said sharply. "As long as the master and I are here, those Shinigami don't matter."

She was still under the influence of the "Distinguished Heavenly Gods," fully loyal to Nanaya, whom she considered her master.

So she followed him into Seireitei without hesitation.

Nanaya didn't seem worried at all. "Relax," he said casually. "I've got a lot of good friends here. They're all decent people."

As he said that, he raised a hand to his eye, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Kamui... Hollow powers... This is such a useful ability."

Unlike Urahara Kisuke's complicated methods of entering Seireitei, Nanaya could use a simple transcription seal.

Before leaving Hueco Mundo, he had placed these seals on dozens of Menos Grande.

As long as they were still alive, he could use Kamui space to teleport back to the Forest of Menos at any time.

It worked like a hidden alternate passage between worlds.

Hearing Nanaya's explanation, Kadishe and Bilstein looked a little more at ease.

"Master Nanaya, so you do have friends here?"

"That's such a relief..."

Before Kadishe could finish his sentence, a sharp voice echoed in the distance.

"Nanaya! So you finally made it back from getting hunted down?"

It was Hitsugaya Tōshirō, approaching with a stern face.

"Move! Don't get in the way! I'll take down these Menos Grande myself!"

He glared at Harribel, Kadishe, and Bilstein. His cold spiritual pressure surged as he drew his Zanpakutō without hesitation.

"Sit upon the frozen heavens, Hyōrinmaru!"

He swung his blade down.

An enormous ice dragon formed from freezing energy and charged forward.

It all happened incredibly fast—less than two seconds.

Nanaya didn't even have time to explain.

But Harribel didn't hold back either. A sharp glint appeared in her eyes as she raised her Zanpakutō and quickly charged a golden Cero at its tip.

"You brat, how dare you attack my master!"

A crackling sound cut through the air.

The shining golden Cero launched straight into the ice dragon, colliding in mid-air.

A deafening explosion rocked the sky.

The powerful ice dragon shattered instantly under the blast of the golden Cero, turning into glimmering ice shards that rained down across Seireitei.

The golden beam streaked high into the sky, bursting like a giant flashbang.

Hitsugaya's pupils shrank as he stared at Harribel in shock.

"That power… It's incredible…"

He had never seen a Menos Grande like this—she looked completely human, with barely any visible Hollow mask. Her Reiatsu was as strong as a captain's.

And that Cero…

It completely destroyed his Hyōrinmaru's ice dragon.

Kadishe was now sobbing and clinging to Nanaya's leg.

"Master Nanaya, this place is so scary...!"

Nanaya scowled and kicked him off.

"Get off! You're embarrassing. Can't you be more like Nel?"

Kadishe looked over at Nel, who was happily munching on some candy and clapping for Harribel's attack like it was a performance.

From a distance, Hitsugaya's expression hardened.

"No wonder this guy's being chased—he's got some serious power backing him."

"But still…"

"Bankai—Daiguren Hyōrinmaru!!"

With a roar, he released a wave of spiritual pressure. The air around him dropped in temperature instantly, ice crystals forming all around.

His spiritual energy surged and began to shape into a massive ice dragon fused with a red lotus.

But before it fully formed—

Nanaya's figure flashed behind him and smacked him on the back of the head.

"Hey! What's the big idea? Can't you tell that's my maid!?"
