The students exchanged surprised glances when they saw Yang Xiong and Ning Rongrong returning together. None of them had expected the pampered little princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School to actually admit her mistake. However, Yang Xiong noticed that although Ning Rongrong kept her head lowered in apparent contrition, her eyes were darting around mischievously. He couldn't help but wonder what schemes this little devil was already plotting.

With Dean Flender leading the way, the group quickly departed from the academy and made their way to the Soto City Great Spirit Arena. This would serve as the location for what Flender had declared to be their first lesson.

After thorough introductions from both Dai Mubai and Dean Flender, all the students understood the requirements clearly. Every Shrek Academy student would need to participate in spirit battles and obtain a Silver Spirit Badge before they could graduate.

Ning Rongrong seemed to have already recovered her usual lively demeanor as she questioned, "Dean, I'm an auxiliary-type soul master. Do I really have to participate in spirit battles as well? There's no way I'll be able to graduate under these conditions."

Flender's gaze swept across all the students before responding, "I'm well aware that both you and Oscar are auxiliary-type soul masters. While it's true that you cannot participate in one-on-one spirit battles, you can certainly compete in two-on-two matches or team battles. This will increase your combat experience and may prove even more beneficial to your overall training."

He paused meaningfully before adding, "Of course, whether you can find someone willing to team up with you for spirit battles depends entirely on your own abilities. I won't interfere in such matters."

In two-person spirit battles, auxiliary-type soul masters were theoretically at a severe disadvantage. With only two people per team, having an auxiliary soul master meant the battle soul master would effectively have to fight two opponents alone, which put them at a significant disadvantage.

Ning Rongrong's eyes lit up as an idea struck her. She quickly moved to Yang Xiong's side and said eagerly, "Little Xiongzi, if I remember correctly, you've already competed at the Heaven Dou City Great Spirit Arena before. You even achieved an impressive record of thirteen wins and zero losses! From now on, the two of us should participate in spirit battles together."

Yang Xiong felt somewhat helpless but responded, "That's not a problem, but even with my help, you must learn to protect yourself on the arena stage. Just like the Dean's lesson today emphasized - if you can't even outrun your opponents, you'll likely become an easy target. When that happens, I'll be forced to fight two opponents alone, and I'm afraid I won't have the energy to spare for protecting you."

At Ning Rongrong's insistence, they registered their team under the name "Seven Treasure Combination" and were soon scheduled for their second spirit battle of the day.

Unfortunately, luck was not on their side. Their opponents were two beast soul masters whose team went by the name "Bear-Leopard Combination."

Both opponents were level twenty-eight soul masters. One possessed the Earth Demon Bear martial spirit, while the other wielded the Black Leopard martial spirit. Their impressive record stood at twenty-one wins and only four losses.

The Earth Demon Bear user was a strength-type beast soul master named Li Meng, while the Black Leopard user, Wang Bao, specialized in speed and agility. With one serving as a powerful attacker and the other as an agile striker, they formed one of the most formidable attacking combinations in the two-person spirit arena.

Up in the spectator stands, the Shrek students wore solemn expressions. As Spirit Grandmasters themselves, they naturally understood the implications of facing such a well-coordinated combination.

Tang San turned to Dai Mubai with evident concern. "Mubai, what do you think Yang Xiong and Ning Rongrong's chances of winning are?"

Dai Mubai shook his head grimly. "Their chances are extremely low. These two have been competing in the spirit arena for a considerable time. While their cultivation talent might not be exceptional, their combat experience is incredibly rich. I actually encountered them when I was still a Spirit Grandmaster. Back then, Oscar and I formed a combination, and we lost to them."

Down on the arena stage, Yang Xiong turned to Ning Rongrong with a serious expression. "Rongrong, don't provide me with any support during this match. Focus entirely on protecting yourself on the arena stage. I want to test these two opponents' strength on my own."

Ning Rongrong protested immediately, "Have you really thought this through? They're two battle soul masters! Fighting two opponents alone without my support will be extremely difficult."

A confident smile appeared on Yang Xiong's face. "How would I know unless I try? I want to put some real pressure on myself."

As the match officially began, only three participants on the arena stage revealed their martial spirits. Ning Rongrong deliberately stepped back several meters, making it clear she had no intention of participating in the battle.

Tang San and Dai Mubai watched in disbelief. "What are Yang Xiong and Ning Rongrong thinking? Does Yang Xiong seriously intend to fight two opponents by himself?"

Dai Mubai's expression grew increasingly serious. "Tang San, the restrictions placed on auxiliary-type soul masters are severe in two-person spirit battles. The reason Oscar and I lost to them was because they besieged Oscar relentlessly. I had to consume massive amounts of spirit power just to protect him. Otherwise, in terms of pure combat power, there was a significant gap between them and me."

The Bear-Leopard Combination, clearly experienced in such tactics, sneered with obvious disdain. "So the little girl isn't going to support you? How disrespectful, bringing an auxiliary to a two-on-two match and not even using her."

Yang Xiong's smile widened. "I don't need any support to deal with the likes of you two. I'm curious to see how long you can last against me."

As the battle commenced in earnest, the Bear-Leopard Combination moved with practiced efficiency. Li Meng's body rapidly expanded, his height exceeding two meters as his muscles swelled to incredible proportions. He charged directly at Yang Xiong with overwhelming force.

Meanwhile, Wang Bao moved like his namesake black leopard, his reflexes and speed extraordinary. Rather than engaging Yang Xiong, he charged straight toward Ning Rongrong.

Seeing the two-pronged attack, especially as the massive Earth Demon Bear's palm came crashing down, Yang Xiong met it head-on with a punch of his own, his fist glowing with silver spirit power.

In an unexpected maneuver, Yang Xiong used the impact from Li Meng's charge to propel himself backward at incredible speed, racing toward Ning Rongrong even faster than the agile Wang Bao.

Just as Wang Bao was about to strike Ning Rongrong, Yang Xiong materialized in front of him, blocking the leopard-like claws with a decisive chop of his hand.

Yang Xiong shouted angrily, "Rongrong, why aren't you running? Are you planning to stand there and die?"

Ning Rongrong, clearly experiencing her first real arena battle, stood frozen in shock. His words jolted her back to reality, and she quickly began running to the side.

Wang Bao obviously intended to eliminate Ning Rongrong first - a typical strategy of defeating the auxiliary soul master to gain a numerical advantage. He delivered a quick claw strike at Yang Xiong before attempting to continue his pursuit of Ning Rongrong. Li Meng simultaneously charged toward Ning Rongrong from the opposite direction. This was a classic tactic: besiege the auxiliary while forcing the battle soul master to exhaust themselves in defense. Even a powerful Spirit Grandmaster would find it extremely challenging to protect an auxiliary soul master under such coordinated assault.

Yang Xiong's reaction speed proved phenomenal. His hands transformed into sharp claws as he grabbed at Wang Bao, his speed surpassing even that of the agility-type soul master.

Despite Wang Bao's extreme speed, his defense was considerably weaker. Faced with Yang Xiong, who moved even faster than himself, he found himself at a complete disadvantage.

Yang Xiong's Mind Distraction Control technique allowed him to effectively multitask on the arena stage. He could launch full-powered attacks against Wang Bao while simultaneously monitoring Ning Rongrong's position, ready to rescue her at a moment's notice.

However, judging from the current situation, the combination of Yang Xiong and Ning Rongrong appeared to be in considerable trouble.

Up in the audience, Dai Mubai shook his head knowingly. "The Bear-Leopard Combination's cooperation is excellent. They used this exact strategy to defeat Oscar and me. It looks like Yang Xiong and Ning Rongrong are facing serious difficulties."
