Silent Awakening: Sign-In To Destiny

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: The Foundation's For Power

---

The clinking of cutlery and the aroma of roasted eggs filled the Raven Estate's breakfast hall. Sunlight streamed through the floor-length windows, painting golden stripes across the pristine tablecloth. The high ceiling, supported by stone columns and decorated with delicate carvings of ravens in flight, echoed softly with the occasional laughter of children.

Asher sat at the far end of the long dining table, carefully slicing through toast while sipping freshly squeezed orange juice. His posture, straight-backed and composed, made him seem much older than ten. Each movement was deliberate, precise, as though calculated down to the smallest gesture.

Cain and Ellen, the energetic twin siblings who had just turned one, played with their food across the table. Ellen tapped her spoon against her bowl, giggling as Cain tried to mimic her, causing a cascade of fruit to tumble onto the marble floor. The nanny, ever attentive, stayed close by, sweeping in gracefully with a cloth and soothing words, but gave the young heir his space.

Asher's system pulsed softly in his mind, a voice he had grown used to over the years.

> [Good morning. You are unusually quiet today.]

"I'm thinking," he murmured, keeping his voice low so the twins wouldn't overhear. His eyes drifted to the garden just outside the glass walls. Morning dew still clung to the grass, glistening like a field of diamonds under the sun.

> [Would you like a suggestion to boost productivity today?]

He wiped his mouth with a napkin and leaned back in the chair. "Go on."

> [You possess multiple high-tier cultivation pill formulas. You could present them to Raven Enterprise's pharmaceutical division. A beautification pill alone would disrupt the market.]

Asher's eyes glinted. "You mean… profit from immortality?"

> [Rejuvenation and external beautification, not immortality. But the implications are lucrative.]

He pushed his plate forward, appetite now forgotten. "Get the formula ready. I'll go after breakfast."

An hour later, Asher walked through the executive corridor of Raven Enterprise's corporate tower. The sheer glass walls reflected the city skyline, casting an ethereal glow over the steel interior. His tailored black jacket swayed behind him as he passed senior associates and board members, many of whom turned to whisper his name in surprise.

His presence carried weight.

He entered the pharmaceutical division's research wing. Sterile lighting and glass partitions separated clean labs from administrative areas. The head of the department, a sharply dressed man in his fifties named Dr. Harland, greeted him with a surprised smile.

"Young Master Asher! What brings you here today?"

"I have something you might find… revolutionary," Asher replied, pulling a small crystal vial from his coat pocket. Inside, a single emerald-green pill shimmered with faint light, its edges glowing softly.

Dr. Harland adjusted his glasses. "What is this?"

"A rejuvenation and beautification pill. The recipe is my proprietary work," Asher stated plainly.

Harland looked doubtful for a moment, but curiosity overtook him. He accepted the vial reverently, holding it up against the light.

"Are you suggesting it can reverse ageing?"

"Not reverse it," Asher said, "but it can make someone look ten years younger after a single dose. Completely safe. No side effects. Natural ingredients."

The older man leaned forward in his seat, awe blooming across his face.

"If this works, we're talking about an industry-shattering breakthrough."

Asher nodded. "You have one month. Try to replicate it. If you can, the recipe becomes exclusive to Raven Enterprise. Licensing rights, distribution models, and manufacturing facilities—we'll do it all internally."

Dr. Harland was already tapping excitedly on his tablet. "Consider it done. We'll begin tests this week."

---

That afternoon, Asher turned his attention to the security wing of the building. His pace was steady, footsteps silent, gaze unwavering. The guards stationed at the entrance straightened instinctively at his approach.

The head of corporate security, a tall, sharp-eyed man named Dorian Kessler, had been appointed by Asher's father and trusted with guarding the most sensitive operations of Raven Enterprise. He was a man of discipline, his presence a blend of military efficiency and tactical awareness.

Dorian rose as Asher entered the meeting room. "Young Master. We weren't expecting you."

"You'll want to hear what I've got," Asher said, placing a sleek, black case on the table and unlocking it. Inside, a folded piece of diamond-phase armour glimmered softly under the lights, humming faintly with dormant energy.

"What is this?" Dorian asked, stepping closer.

"Armour," Asher said simply. "Mine. Designed it myself. Lightweight, adaptable, bullet-resistant, temperature-neutralising, and integrates perfectly with our field kits."

Dorian examined it carefully, impressed by the smooth design and flexible weave.

"You want to sell these?"

"No," Asher said, folding his arms. "I want these issued to every elite guard and personal bodyguard protecting our high-risk clients. The moment they hit the market, competitors will try to copy them. But we'll already be three steps ahead."

Dorian hesitated. "Does it come with tracking or deactivation protocols?"

"Yes. Biometric locks and retrieval systems included. If any armour is stolen or misused, it self-destructs."

He grinned. "You've thought of everything."

"I always do."

> [System Notification: You have completed two Major Organisational Integration Tasks. +5000 System Points Earned.]

Dorian looked up. "Did you say something?"

Asher smirked. "Just congratulating myself."

As he walked out of the boardroom and down the silent hallway, Asher felt the shift again. Not a boy. Not just an heir. He was the architect of something bigger. His hands were no longer idle—they were building legacies.

The air outside had turned crisp. He looked up at the sky, then back at the towering headquarters of the enterprise that now bent to his vision. There was more to do.

---

That night, while seated in his room surrounded by stacks of blueprints and formula binders, Asher felt the pulse of the system again.

Asher stared at the interface, the corner of his mouth twitching.

"So, we're going full shonen now, huh?"

> [Incorrect. You are undergoing body-tempering based on optimal regenerative strain. Probability of cellular density increase: 93.6%. Bone reinforcement ratio: 87%. Neuromuscular synchronization efficiency: currently at 31%, predicted increase to 80% in 6 years.]

He laughed—genuinely, freely—for the first time in weeks.

"Alright then. Let's build a legend."
