Chapter -12.

In the bustling plaza of Shrek Academy, Dai Mubai approached Ye Chen and his friends from a nearby building.

"What a shame! I was sure Teacher Zhao's strength could keep you here, but it turns out you're even tougher than I thought."

With a grin, Ye Chen replied, "Don't worry! I plan to stick around the academy for a bit, so feel free to challenge me anytime."

"Remember that; just don't complain later!" Dai Mubai retorted, struggling with the idea of being bested by someone younger than him. He was determined to surpass Ye Chen, and even if he couldn't do so right now, he was hopeful for the future. His biggest fear was getting stronger yet not being able to find Ye Chen, which was a key reason he wanted him to stay at the academy.

As night fell, Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu successfully completed Zhao Wujie's second test and gained entry to Shrek Academy. Following Dai Mubai, Ye Chen was told he would be living in the boys' dormitory with him. Even though he hadn't officially enrolled yet, Zhao Wujie had arranged a place for him after assessing Ning Rongrong and the others.

Feeling restless, Ye Chen quietly got out of bed and hopped out of the open window. The moonlight was faint, and the sky was starting to darken. Remembering the sign-in task from the system, he decided to take advantage of the moment to explore Shrek Academy.

The task was simple: all he had to do was walk around the academy, and it would be considered complete. This didn't seem too challenging. There weren't many buildings at Shrek Academy, and within just over ten minutes, Ye Chen had visited the teachers' area and the dean's office. It appeared that Flander didn't live on campus, and the other teachers treated Ye Chen like just another visitor, not paying him much attention.

Before long, the sky brightened, and it seemed there was only one place he hadn't checked out yet. Looking at the two-story building near the boys' dormitory, Ye Chen felt a bit hesitant. It didn't seem right for a handsome young man to just waltz into the girls' dormitory, but turning back wasn't really his style either. 

After some thought, Ye Chen decided it was better to go in now rather than sneak in later. With only a few girls in the academy, he found himself calling for Ning Rongrong to come out.

"What? You want to go into the girls' dormitory? Why's that?" Ning Rongrong asked, puzzled by his unusual request. Then, appearing to have a thought, she leaned in and whispered in his ear, "If you're curious about something, just let me know. I'm a girl too; I have what they have. Don't believe me? Just take a look."

As she said this, Ning Rongrong began to untie her nightgown to show him. 

Startled, Ye Chen quickly took her hand and exclaimed, "What are you doing? I'm just interested in the architecture here and wanted a look. I just left Zhao Wujie's office, I swear!"

After hearing Ye Chen's explanation, Ning Rongrong smiled and went back to discuss with Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing. A moment later, she returned with news.

"Okay, you can come in; Xiao Wu is okay with it."

"Great, thanks!" Ye Chen gently patted Ning Rongrong's long hair and walked into the girls' dormitory. 

The first room he entered belonged to Ning Rongrong. The space felt even cozier than he had imagined, furnished simply with a few tables and chairs, yet clothes were strewn about, giving it a slightly chaotic look. 

Xiao Wu appeared to have just woken up, wearing a cute pink nightgown, greeted Ye Chen, and then crawled back under her covers. 

Wanting to avoid overstaying his welcome in Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu's room, Ye Chen moved through a short hallway and encountered another door. 

Creaking open the door, Ye Chen thought he was about to exit the small building, but instead, he was greeted by an unexpected sight. Zhu Zhuqing lay on a small bed, partially dressed, her alluring figure accentuated by sexy black stockings, revealing a patch of skin that was as white as jade. It was astonishing how a girl in her teens could have such perfect proportions.

"Who's there?" 

The sound of footsteps startled Zhu Zhuqing, and she opened her beautiful eyes to find Ye Chen standing there. A wave of awkwardness immediately filled the room. 

Ye Chen gulped and forced a smile, "I really came in with permission; do you believe me?" 

Zhu Zhuqing didn't reply, but her poised actions spoke volumes. 

"Meow!" A sudden cat's meow filled the air as Zhu Zhuqing activated her martial soul, the Nether Cat, rushing toward Ye Chen without a word. 

She was incredibly fast; even with Ye Chen's greater soul power, he couldn't outrun her. In a split second, without thinking twice, Ye Chen jumped out of the window and sprinted straight into the depths of the nearby forest.

He was puzzled about why Zhu Zhuqing was so upset after Ning Rongrong had already cleared things up for him. Besides, he thought, peeking wouldn't hurt anyone, and it wasn't intentional at all.

The system's voice echoed in Ye Chen's mind at an inopportune moment. While slightly annoying, he hoped it would help clear up the current misunderstanding. 

Remembering how Ning Rongrong's attitude had shifted toward him, Ye Chen finally paused his escape and faced the pursuing Zhu Zhuqing.

"Ahem, I really didn't mean to intrude; please let me explain."

Before he could finish, a sharp command rang out, "Nether Strike!"

"Wait, is she serious?" 

Seeing Zhu Zhuqing unleashing her martial soul attack, transforming into a shadow hurtling toward him, Ye Chen's confusion deepened; he didn't think the favorability increase was worth this kind of trouble, system. 

As he dodged Zhu Zhuqing's attack, he shot a question at the system.

Just as he thought this, a swift figure leaped from the air, tackling Ye Chen onto the grass, where a pair of cat claws dug into his chest. 

Before long, blood began seeping from the wound, staining his clothes red.
