Shadows Of Deception

Chapter 24: The Five Demon Monkey Prison

Jin's battered form lay on the ground for only a moment before he slowly pushed himself back to his feet. His body staggered, his legs trembling beneath him, but he stood firm, his gaze unwavering. The injuries on his chest began to fade as black smoke curled from his wounds, dissipating into the air like wisps of darkness.

Madagascar, standing a few feet away, cocked his head slightly, his golden eyes glowing faintly. The grin on his face widened into something far more sinister.

"You're still hiding something," Madagascar taunted, his voice low and almost amused. "What's the matter? Afraid to show me? Or is it that you can't?"

Jin's face hardened. He took a deep breath, the smoke from his chest clearing completely, and replied, his tone cold and deliberate. "Hiding something, you say? I'm not."

Madagascar chuckled darkly, shaking his head. "Don't bother lying," he said, pointing at Jin with one finger. "With these golden eyes, I can see it—traces of something… something dangerous. And now you've got me curious. What are you hiding?"

Jin's eyes narrowed slightly. He had underestimated Madagascar, and now this demon of a fighter was staring straight into the shadows he thought he had buried deep within himself.

"If you're not going to willingly show me," Madagascar continued, his voice dropping into a deadly growl, "then I'll rip it out of you. If I can't? You die here, right now."

Before Jin could respond, Madagascar disappeared in a blur of speed. The ground beneath his feet cracked and shattered as his body launched forward with unimaginable force. He moved like a streak of lightning, his warhammer spinning in his hands, ready to deliver a blow that would finish Jin once and for all.

Jin's mind raced, images of Rex, Jon, and everyone he had lost flashing before him. He couldn't fail here. He wouldn't.

"I cannot lose!" Jin said in a cold tone, his voice filled with determination.

As Madagascar closed in, Jin thrust his hand forward, invoking The Order. The pit seemed to groan in protest as a gravitational force erupted from Jin's body, a shockwave tearing through the air and space itself. The very ground of the pit fractured, massive chunks of rock and debris spiraling outward as the force obliterated everything in its path.

The crowd screamed in awe and terror as the wave shot toward Madagascar, its destructive power unparalleled. The narrator's voice echoed above the chaos, barely audible over the roar of destruction.

"What power! This—this is something we've never seen before!"

The gravitational force surged forward, carving through the walls of the pit like a blade through butter. The sheer energy of it rippled into the stands, sending waves of fear through the spectators.

Madagascar's golden eyes flared. His grin widened into a feral smile, his excitement almost childlike as he analyzed the force barreling toward him. With a flicker of movement, his form began to shift. His muscles flexed unnaturally, his back arched, and a long, sinuous tail sprouted from his lower spine. His transformation was subtle yet primal, revealing his true nature as The Demon Monkey.

Leaping into the air with agility that defied reason, Madagascar twisted his body mid-flight, avoiding the gravitational force entirely. His movement was graceful, fluid, and disturbingly inhuman.

Jin's attack didn't stop. The wave of destruction continued to surge outward, shattering walls and sending debris flying toward the crowd. Above the chaos, Madagascar landed lightly on a metal light stand high above the pit. His tail coiled around the structure for balance, his glowing eyes fixed on Jin below.

The Sentinels stationed around the arena immediately sprang into action, forming a protective wall. Their energy shields absorbed the remnants of Jin's attack, reducing its impact and preventing further damage to the spectators.

"Is that all you've got?" Madagascar called out from above, his voice mocking but tinged with amusement.

The crowd erupted into wild cheers, some chanting Jin's name, others screaming for Madagascar to crush him. The narrator's voice boomed through the speakers, filled with excitement.

"Unbelievable! Did you see that? Jin's attack tore through the pit, the walls—everything! But Madagascar… oh, he's something else entirely. What agility! What power! This battle is far from over!"

Perched above, the demonic monkey on Madagascar's shoulder chuckled softly, its skeletal grin twisting into something even more sinister.

"That power…" the monkey whispered, its voice audible only to Madagascar. "Avoid it at all costs. That boy's hiding a storm, one that could swallow even you I can feel it."

Madagascar's grin faltered for a moment as he considered the monkey's warning. Then, his smile returned, sharper and more dangerous than ever.

"Let's see if I can make him use it again," he said, his tail twitching with anticipation.

Below, Jin stared up at Madagascar, his chest rising and falling as he steadied his breath. He clenched his fists, determination burning in his eyes. This fight was far from over.

Seiji stood at the edge of the arena, his arms crossed as he observed the aftermath of Jin's The Order. The destruction it caused was immense—chunks of the pit's floor were torn apart, debris littered the battlefield, and even the crowd had fallen silent for a moment, their cheers replaced with awe. But Seiji's eyes remained sharp, focused solely on Jin.

"That power…" Seiji murmured to himself, narrowing his gaze. "He doesn't even understand its true destructive potential. Controlled recklessness, but not mastery."

Beside him, Rebekah's fists were clenched, her worry evident. "This isn't good," she muttered, glancing up at Madagascar perched on the light stand above. "He likes to play with his opponents before getting serious. He's barely even started… and Jin's already struggling."

Seiji smirked faintly but didn't turn to look at her. "You're right. The Demon Monkey hasn't even shown his full hand yet. And when he does… that's when the real fight begins."

From his perch, Madagascar brought his hands together slowly, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. His golden eyes locked onto Jin, who was recovering from the earlier clash. Energy began to swirl between his palms, dark and chaotic, like a miniature storm taking form. The demonic monkey on his shoulder screeched in excitement before vanishing into the growing energy.

"Now," Madagascar said, his voice loud and commanding, "let's see how far you can go. The real fight begins now."

The energy between his hands solidified, and five tiny monkeys, each an exact replica of the demonic monkey from earlier, emerged from the storm. They howled as they leapt into the air, free-falling toward Jin.

Jin, still steadying himself from the earlier attacks, narrowed his eyes at the descending monkeys. "Small targets," he muttered. "They can't be that strong."

The first monkey dove down with astonishing speed, its tiny fist glowing with an otherworldly energy. Jin countered with a punch of his own, their fists clashing mid-air.

BOOM!

The force of the impact sent shockwaves rippling through the pit. Jin's arm trembled from the collision, and the sheer strength of the monkey's attack sent him crashing into the ground below.

"What—?" Jin groaned, the impact leaving cracks beneath him.

Before he could regain his footing, the second monkey dived straight toward him, its mouth open wide. From within, it spat out a sticky, glowing substance that splattered across Jin's body. The substance hardened instantly, pinning Jin to the ground. He struggled against it, but the binding was too strong.

"Dammit!" Jin growled, pulling with all his might.

From above, the third monkey opened its jaws unnaturally wide, its body enlarging mid-air as it hurtled down toward Jin. Its maw stretched grotesquely, becoming large enough to engulf him completely.

Jin's eyes widened. "No—!"

The monkey landed with a resounding SLAM, swallowing Jin whole in an instant. The arena fell eerily silent as the crowd stared in shock, unable to process what had just happened.

Madagascar, still perched above, clapped his hands together, releasing the energy he had been holding. The remaining monkey on the ground jumped onto his shoulder, placing its hand on his head. Slowly, its form dissolved into Madagascar's body, merging with him as his golden eyes flared brighter than ever.

"It's done," Madagascar declared, his voice echoing through the pit. "The Five Demon Monkey Prison Sealing Technique."

Seiji raised an eyebrow, his expression one of curiosity. "That technique," he said softly, stroking his chin. "A sealing technique unlike any other."

Rebekah turned to him, panic clear in her voice. "What's happening? Where did Jin go? Is he—?"

Seiji interrupted her, his tone calm but firm. "He's alive. For now."

He gestured toward the center of the pit, where the remnants of the sealing energy still lingered faintly. "Madagascar's technique creates a separate realm—an internal world of sorts. Jin is trapped there. Inside that world, Madagascar controls everything. He's a god there."

Rebekah's eyes widened. "A god? How is Jin supposed to fight that?"

Seiji let out a small laugh, though it lacked humor. "To be honest, the match might as well be over. No one has ever escaped that technique before…" He paused for a moment, then added, "Almost no one, I should say. There was one, a long time ago. But it required power and will far beyond anything ordinary."

Rebekah's frustration boiled over. "So that's it? You're just going to give up on him?"

Seiji didn't respond immediately. Instead, he stared at the faint remnants of energy on the ground, his gaze thoughtful. "Let's see what the boy's made of," he finally said. "If he's worthy of being my student, he'll find a way."

Rebekah clenched her fists, turning her eyes back to the pit. "He has to. He has to."

Inside the sealed realm, Madagascar stood tall in the shadowy void, waiting. His golden eyes scanned the darkness, a smile tugging at his lips. "Welcome to my world, Jin," he muttered.
