Chapter 112: The Unveiling of Chaos
The ruins of the God Hunter family settlement lay silent, the air thick with the acrid scent of ash and destruction. Seiji knelt amidst the rubble, his hand trembling as it hovered over a broken piece of his family's crest. His face betrayed a mixture of despair and fury. Madagascar approached, placing a firm hand on Seiji's shoulder.
"We don't know for sure," Madagascar said gently. "Maybe some of them escaped to the Free World. Your father… he's strong. He might be out there."
Seiji remained silent, his jaw clenched tightly. Mengi joined them, his voice calm but resolute.
"Madagascar is right," Mengi said. "This isn't the end. There could be survivors. Your family wouldn't go down without a fight."
Seiji finally exhaled a deep breath and nodded, but the fire of vengeance burned brightly in his eyes. Jin stood a few feet away, his gaze fixed on the horizon. His posture was rigid, his eyes distant as if he were already looking ahead to the next battle.
"We don't have time to linger here," Jin said, his voice cold and commanding. "The Free World could already be under attack. If we waste time here, we're giving Jiangshi exactly what he wants."
Seiji stood up, brushing off the ash from his hands. "You're right," he said, his voice steady but laced with anger. "Let's move."
Without another word, the team began their journey back to the Free World, their movements swift and purposeful. The weight of their losses hung heavy, but the urgency to act pushed them forward.
Jiangshi's presence materialized in the heart of Dr. Rend's laboratory. The scientist, ever meticulous, immediately dropped to one knee in a deep bow.
"Rise," Jiangshi commanded, his voice as smooth and deadly as a blade.
Dr. Rend stood, his head low but his eyes filled with both reverence and fear. "Lord Jiangshi," he said, "to what do I owe this honor?"
Jiangshi walked slowly around the laboratory, his hands clasped behind his back. His piercing gaze swept over the various devices and experiments scattered across the room.
"Tell me, Rend," Jiangshi began, "is the Neph Serum Program complete?"
Dr. Rend's face lit up with pride. "Yes, my lord," he replied. "The serum has been perfected, and the subjects have been stabilized. They are ready to be deployed."
Jiangshi's lips curled into a faint, ominous smile. "Good," he said. "It's time. Dispatch them into the Free World immediately."
With that, Jiangshi's form dissolved into the shadows, leaving Dr. Rend standing alone. Wasting no time, Dr. Rend turned and entered the elevator that would take him deep into the factory's core.
As the elevator descended, the hum of machinery grew louder, and the air grew colder. When the doors slid open, a massive chamber filled with rows upon rows of towering figures greeted him. Bright lights flickered on, illuminating the giants that stood motionless like statues, their monstrous forms radiating raw power.
Dr. Rend approached a console and entered a series of codes. The room buzzed with energy as the containment fields around the giants began to dissolve. The Neph Program, months in the making, was finally ready for deployment.
"Awaken," Dr. Rend muttered under his breath, watching as the giants' eyes flickered to life with an eerie.
Jiangshi appeared before Theon and Greyjoy, his presence as commanding as ever. The two council members stood from their seats, bowing slightly in acknowledgment.
"I have a task for you both," Jiangshi said, his tone sharp and deliberate. "The time to act is upon us. The Viridona island has lingered in defiance for far too long we need to harness there energys Theon. Prepare to make your move soon."
Greyjoy smirked, his fiery eyes glinting with excitement. "It's about time," he said.
Theon, ever composed, simply nodded. "Consider it done."
Jiangshi turned away, his gaze distant. "Failure is not an option," he added, his voice carrying an unmistakable threat.
The two council members exchanged a glance, their expressions determined.
