Chapter 16: Ch 15: The Good Hunter
[Host, welcome to the Dream Realm!]
Edward slowly opened his eyes, he wasn't in dark waters as he expected he would be instead he was on a cliff. Laying on a rocky surpass that was barely as big as his room's private bathroom, it was red in color and similar to coral in texture but not exactly one.
It seems like using Sunny as the anchor doesn't exactly mean they will spawn beside each other like he expected. Which is kind of sad but he can deal with their temporary separation.
Chilly wind brushes by making him shiver in the cold, making him notice that he was indeed naked as the system said. 'System, equip [Hunter Set].'

Price: 500 SP]
[Silent]: Surprise is one of the greatest weapons that a hunter can wield, now your clothes will help you to wield that weapon by becoming silent.
[Well Maintained]: It's annoying to maintain your clothes you know? It always gets dirty, torn, wet, burnt, etc. no longer will you face that trouble as your suit will always be in its best condition.
[Creature Of Night]: Night is your friend, it's your ally, and it will help you as much as it can. When wearing this suit you will be well hidden under the night and have no problem with the darkness that the night brings.
Soon faint light particles wrapped around him before materializing into a dark grey fabric long coat under his white shirt, and leather cuirass followed by a pair of high, soft-soled leather boots. Followed by the tall wide-brimmed hat in the same color as the coat with dark-gray colored trousers and leather gloves of the same style. Finally black scarf wraps around his mouth hiding his identity from the prying eyes of the night.
Once the set is fully equipped everything becomes clearer, it is as if someone suddenly turned the lights back on or taken off his shades revealing the colorful world in its full glory.
Setting farther from the water he rested, waiting for the morning sun to come and dispel the dark sea. It's unfortunate of him that the system SP collection field limited to his own sensory rage resulting in the deaths his senses didn't pick up being counted as the outside of the system benefit range.
Otherwise, he is sure under that dark sea truly great carnage is happening just waiting to send him the huge gift of almost endless SP. For a moment driven by his greed he even considered jumping into the sea but quickly throws away that stupid idea out of his mind.
And decided to silently wait for the morning sun to chase away the dark sea and reveal its crimson maze under it.

Edward opened his eyes once he heard the sound of water surging and saw the incredible sight of the black, opaque water suddenly surging and seething, as though a living creature desperately trying to avoid the pale light of the coming dawn.
The sea started to recede.
Slowly at first, and then faster and faster, the water level was dropping. The uneven crimson coral formation he had been taking shelter on used to barely protrude out of the waves, but now there were meters and meters of wet coral between him and the restless surface of the sea.
Standing on the tall crimson coral pillar, twisted and strange he looked down upon the crimson labyrinth with a curious look on his face. One he was standing on was shaped like a hook and he was standing on its bended back which explains why it was so uneven.
Now Edward needs to think of how to go down to the labyrinth without falling to his own death, luckily he has some experience with rock climbing because of Sunny's First Nightmare. With that in mind, he climbed down, he almost fell to his death several times but luckily he managed to stay hold of himself.
Soon, his feet finally touched the ground.
The black mud was deep enough to slow him down, but not to the extent he had been afraid of. With some practice, Sunny was soon able to walk at an acceptable speed. What's more, he was fascinated by the fact that no matter how deep his legs dived into the black mud it would always come out free without a drop of filth on itself.
It's unfortunate for him to not be able to locate the headless knight statue that Sunny should be on but he was sure Sunny could wait for him for a few days on it. After all tagging along is important to have in mind at least they reach somewhere filled with humans like a village or city till then he must stick around with him using him as a guide.
Currently, his priority wasn't finding Sleepers and Nightmare Creatures he could kill or use to kill other things. He truly should have chosen weapon-type memory too, sadly he was a little too broke to buy it after buying the [Hunter Set].
Finally, he found the thing he had been waiting for, he found one of the natives rather hurt but still alive. They had four pairs of long, segmented legs that ended in scythe-like protrusions. At the front, a human-like torso was protruding from the carapace, also clad in thick chitinous armor. The head, if it was even the appropriate word, was situated directly on top of the torso, with no neck in between. It had two narrow eye slits and a viscous-looking mouth with several slimy mandibles. Instead of hands, the monsters had two enormous pincers. Well, that was what they were supposed to look like at least.
This one was missing a few legs and its right eye, and there were countless cracks on its shell, from the position it was in it was probably going to burrow itself underground preparing an ambush for the unsuspecting creatures that would pass by. No worries you unlucky little one because your hero Edward will kill this despicable creature before it could do any harm.
Before the creature could react his fist smashed it was facing, the sound of something crushing then its blood splattered everywhere followed by its brain. At least that's what Edward believes its brain is.
[Ding! You gained 400 SP!]
[SP: 410]
"Yeah, baby! That's what I am talking about."
Then he looked back and noticed several natives slowly walking toward him as a smile appeared on his face. Edward couldn't help but mutter to himself. "Damn, it's kind of sad that my system doesn't possess the mechanism of telling me the name of my slain enemies. I can only call you guys crabies my dear friends."
With that only thing you could hear from that area was the sound of something getting crushing and the painful wailing of the beasts.
