Sent to Another World!

Chapter 14

Having escaped from the capital, I ran at full speed.
There was no sign of pursuit from the cavalry.
For the time being, I was heading toward Marquis Moss’s territory.

“Phew, I think I managed to shake them off.”
“Yes, but what is this?”
“I can summon various things with my skills, and the healing facility is just a part of it.”
“Amazing! But what do we do now?”
Sarina was worried about the future.

“Hmm, we can summon water and food with skills, and the fuel hasn’t decreased either. We can keep going as much as we want… For now, should we head to Lord Rizark’s place? We also need to explain your plan, Sarina.”

“Father will understand. But is it alright? We are wanted criminals, aren’t we? I’m worried that we might cause Father trouble…”
Sarina’s expression darkened.

“It would be best to reach him before any messages do. That way, we’ll have time to discuss things.”

“But from here, it will take about seven days by carriage.”

“That’s why we’ll change our mode of transportation to something faster.”
I stopped the tank and got out.

Then, in exchange for the tank, I summoned a helicopter.
It was an AH-64D attack helicopter.
This helicopter was equipped with missiles, and machine guns, and had decent attack power. It also had infrared night vision, allowing it to fly during the night.
A perfect way to reach our destination promptly.

“W-we’re flying in the sky!”
Sarina was clinging to me in fear.
“It’s okay, let’s go.”

I flew while looking at the map displayed on the screen.

It seemed that the map was designed to only show the place I had been to before. So, I zoomed out the map and aimed straight for Moss’s territory. There were mountains along the way, but we flew straight over them.

“W-wait, we’re above the mountains! Huh? The clouds are below us!”
Sarina was in a state of confusion throughout the flight, but since we had come in a straight line, we arrived much, much faster.

After landing near the town, I took a bike and headed to Lord Rizark’s mansion.
“Lord Rizark.”
“Oh, Yoshinobu, what’s the matter? Sarina also looks exhausted, though?”

“Father, I… I flew through the air…”
“Sarina? What are you talking about?”
Rizark had a puzzled expression upon hearing Sarina’s words.

“Lord Rizark, that’s not important. There’s something I need to talk about.”
I explained how I had escaped from the capital.
By the time I almost finished, Sarina had recovered, and she helped me in explaining the situation.

“What? Yoshinobu, you’re not at fault with this!”

“Even so, if the king orders it, white can turn black. That’s why I intend to escape from this country. Lord Rizark, or rather, Viscount Moss, how do you feel about this?”

I conveyed my intentions, and Sarina also explained that she would be accompanying me.

“Father, I will go with Yoshinobu. Please report that I’ve died.”
“… I understand. While ideally, I would take a stance to defend Yoshinobu and Sarina’s innocence, as a viscount, it seems unlikely that my words would change anything. Yoshinobu, I entrust my daughter to you.”

Rizark bowed deeply.

“Because of me, I involved Sarina in this mess. I promise to protect her. You can trust me.”
I vowed to Rizark that I would protect Sarina.

“Now, where do you intend to go?”
“Well… anywhere is fine, but do you have any recommendations?”

“In that case, why not head north to the Kingdom of Maldorado? My father-in-law, Sarina’s grandfather, has a business in a town called Raad. How about going there?”

“That sounds not bad. Ok, we’ll head there.”

Rizark’s face was filled with a sense of loneliness.
“Are you leaving right away?”
“No, can we stay for the night?”
It would be better to leave immediately, but I wanted to give Rizark and Sarina some time.

“Thank you. How about we hold a farewell gathering for the two of you tonight?”
Rizark gathered the townspeople, and a grand banquet was held.

Though everyone was aware of the circumstances, no one considered betraying Yoshinobu, who they owed so much to.

Amidst tears of farewell, with prayers for a safe journey and celebrations to send them off, the festivities continued.

As Sarina and I bid farewell to the people of Moss Territory, our departure was met with reluctance.

Yet, as the morning sun rose, the entire town came out to bid them farewell, waving their hands.

And we embarked on our journey to the neighboring kingdom of Maldorado.
