SCP: A TRUE ANOMALY

Chapter 50: Ownership of SCP-682

After a travel to Floor 3 for reach the containment chamber of SCP-076-2, A'malther, still wearing SCP-035, got told by SCP-035 about feeling something near, as if SCP-682 was being alterated by the mere presence of A'malther inside the Facility, and though, was still with distance.

A'malther got surprised by SCP-682 still alive, yet he though he killed it time ago already.

After a moment, he entered SCP-682's containment chamber, in a search for SCP-682, but then, encountering it.

A'malther: "I do see... You are indeed still alive... Perhaps I did not eradicate you last time, but I do know you recognize me..."

SCP-682's reaction to A'malther, now wearing SCP-035, would be visceral and primal—a mixture of rage, caution, and recognition. Upon sensing A'malther's presence, SCP-682 would instinctively recoil, its usually aggressive demeanor tempered by an awareness of A'malther's overwhelming divinity.

SCP-682 growled deeply, its voice guttural and strained as if resisting some unseen pressure:

SCP-682: "You... You are not what you were... You reek of power and... something more... The stench of you burns..."

The sight of SCP-035 agitated SCP-682 further, as the mask's manipulative aura clashes with the creature's defiant, resistant nature. SCP-682's movements would shift between aggression—snarling, baring its teeth—and subtle retreat, a sign of its survival instincts warning against direct confrontation.

Despite SCP-682's infamous hatred for all life, it didn't lunged recklessly at A'malther. Instead, it moved in circle cautiously, its body tense and its voice carrying an undercurrent of grudging recognition:

SCP-682: "You think you stand above me now... divine or not... I endure. I always endure."

SCP-682's reaction underlined its resilience, yet its hesitation to attack outright would signal an awareness of the fundamental shift in A'malther's nature—a shift that even SCP-682, in all its hatred, cannot ignore.

A'malther: "... I am indeed tired of having to deal with you, and so... Let me give you a deal... Become my pet, assist me when others defy me. I will feed you personally with the food you most love, take you to worlds where you can enjoy of simple things, as for sure, your nature. And take you to locations where you can unleash your predatory in more killing than hunting only. What do you say, reptile? Will you accept in submitting to me and becoming my killing pet?"

SCP-682's reaction to A'malther's proposition was a mixture of fury, disgust, and reluctant contemplation. The creature's body would tense, its growls deepening into something guttural and harsh, resonating with its infamous hatred for submission of any kind. Its eyes would narrow, glaring directly into A'malther's glowing gaze, the malice in its voice palpable:

SCP-682: "Pet? You dare... to reduce me to some... tame thing? You speak of feeding me, giving me places to kill... as if I were some obedient beast. I do not bow... to gods, men, or kings. I exist beyond your pathetic notions of dominion."

Yet, SCP-682's predatory nature and survival instincts made it pause, even if briefly. The promise of destruction, bloodshed, and a potential outlet for its endless rage might intrigue the creature, if only for its own benefit. Still, its pride would not let it concede easily, and its response would drip with venomous defiance:

SCP-682: "But... You offer... what no other dares. A god... asking a monster to follow. You amuse me, glowing fool... But submit? Never. If you want me, take me. Earn my obedience—or face the only truth I know: I endure."

SCP-682 lowered itself slightly, its posture caught between aggression and curiosity, as though daring A'malther to prove the worth of his offer through action. Its resistance would not stem from outright rejection but from a desire to test A'malther's resolve and superiority, as the creature would only consider submission to a force it could neither destroy nor deny.

A'malther: "... If what you wish is for a demonstration of my superiority and dominance... It will be, and I will grant your wish..."

A'malther raises slightly a finger, making SCP-682 have a blue aura and float towards him, and then, with extreme ease, he starts tearing it apart it's limbs, then holds it with both hands.

A'malther: "Do tell me. Do you prefer an endless constant suffer? Or being downgraded into a pet position, but with benefits? If you do choose to obey me, it will come with gladly granted rewards, but while if you do decide to refuse... I will be here daily, constantly killing you, but letting you heal, or healing you, to continue... Do not test my determination..."

SCP-682, despite its immense hatred and defiance, would find itself overwhelmed by A'malther's demonstration of power. The sheer ease with which A'malther tore its body apart would leave the creature momentarily stunned. While its regenerative capabilities would allow it to recover rapidly, the clear dominance displayed would force it to consider the reality of the situation.

Faced with two grim options—constant torment or subservience with promised rewards—SCP-682's primal instincts for survival would push it toward a reluctant acceptance. It would not submit out of loyalty or respect but out of pragmatism, viewing the "pet" role as a calculated means to avoid endless suffering while biding its time for a potential advantage.

Its body lowered in a gesture not of full submission but acknowledgment of A'malther's superiority, signaling its unwilling compliance. The Research Team observing would be left in shock at the sight of SCP-682 being brought to heel for the first time, marking an unprecedented event in its containment history.

A'malther: "... See? It was not as complicated as you thought, did it? Do not worry, I will do have care of you, and make sure you use properly your inside endless nature of murder depredation."

A'malther then raises his right hand and opens a portal behind of him, while moves aside.

A'malther: "Now, as first test to see if you really to submit to me and accept to obey me. Come along me to show you your own room with your also own torture generator, where you will be able to endlessly enjoy mutilating humans."

SCP-682, driven by its predatory instincts and constant bloodlust, it reluctantly moved toward the portal, its hulking form showing no outward indication of submission other than its compliance. While its hatred for A'malther burned brightly, the prospect of an environment tailored to its destructive desires—a space where it could endlessly indulge in mutilating humans—was enough to appease its violent nature temporarily.

The Research Team observing the interaction is astounded, frantically documenting every detail of SCP-682's behavior, as this marked a rare moment where the entity willingly followed orders, albeit begrudgingly. This unprecedented compliance would further solidify A'malther's position as an entity far beyond anything the Foundation could have anticipated, leaving them grappling with the implications of his growing dominion over even the most uncontrollable anomalies.

As SCP-682 passed through the portal, a faint growl of contempt echoed, not as defiance but as a warning—an acknowledgment of its situation while silently vowing to seek its own advantage in this new arrangement. A'malther's calculated manipulation of its desires had successfully subdued the beast, for now.

A'malther then entered inside the portal, and the portal then closed behind him.

Incident Report: SCP-682 Interaction with A'malther

Prepared by SCP-682's Research Team

Date: [REDACTED]

Location: SCP-682 Containment Chamber, Site-19

Summary of Events:

At [TIME REDACTED], A'malther entered SCP-682's containment chamber, accompanied by SCP-035, which he was wearing. The presence of A'malther triggered immediate agitation in SCP-682, causing the entity to become highly vocal and aggressive. However, A'malther displayed complete dominance over SCP-682, subduing it both physically and psychologically in a manner never before observed.

Details of Interaction:

A'malther's Entrance:

A'malther entered SCP-682's chamber using an O5-level keycard, bypassing all security protocols. SCP-682 immediately demonstrated heightened aggression, roaring and thrashing in its acid bath containment.

Physical Display of Dominance:

A'malther effortlessly manipulated SCP-682 using what appeared to be a form of telekinesis, causing SCP-682 to float and glow with a blue aura. With extraordinary ease, A'malther tore SCP-682's limbs apart and subsequently held its body intact, healing it instantaneously before repeating the cycle to demonstrate his control. SCP-682 was rendered completely powerless during this interaction, a feat unprecedented in the entity's recorded history.

Psychological Manipulation:

A'malther presented SCP-682 with a "deal," offering it a position as his "pet" in exchange for submission. The deal included promises of environments tailored to SCP-682's destructive instincts, including "a room with a torture generator for mutilating humans." Despite its characteristic hatred and hostility, SCP-682 ultimately complied, following A'malther through a portal without resistance.

Observations:

SCP-682 has never exhibited this level of submission or cooperation with any entity. The interaction demonstrated A'malther's complete immunity to SCP-682's aggression and anomalous resilience, further highlighting the vast disparity in power between them. The use of SCP-035 by A'malther remains a factor of concern, as SCP-035 displayed no resistance to being worn and may be amplifying A'malther's influence.

Implications:

SCP-682's compliance raises concerns regarding A'malther's growing ability to manipulate and control even the most hostile and uncontainable SCPs. A'malther's offer to SCP-682 implies a long-term plan to recruit anomalies for his own purposes, potentially creating a coalition of entities that could rival or exceed the power of the Scarlet King.

O5 Council Comments on Incident Report:

O5-1: "This report confirms our worst fears. A'malther is consolidating power by recruiting the most dangerous entities in the Foundation's custody. SCP-682's submission is not just a breach of containment—it's a sign that we may no longer have the means to contain him or the SCPs he takes under his wing. We need contingency plans immediately, even if they seem futile."

O5-2: "SCP-682 is the apex predator of our catalog, and now it's under A'malther's control. This 'pet' arrangement only further solidifies his claim of godhood. The Foundation must consider whether continuing to operate under his terms is sustainable, or if we need to explore more extreme options."

O5-4: "A'malther's offer of 'torture generators' for SCP-682 raises alarming ethical concerns. He is weaponizing anomalies in ways we never anticipated. We must acknowledge that his sense of morality, though refined and intellectual, is diverging further from human values. His recruitment strategy suggests he's building something akin to an army, and that puts the multiverse itself at risk."

O5-7: "We need to take action before this gets out of hand. A'malther is turning Site-19 into his personal recruitment ground, and we're just standing by. SCP-682's compliance, while shocking, also gives us a glimpse of his strategy: control through fear, promises, and overwhelming power. We must find a way to exploit his reliance on these tactics, or we'll soon have an army of anomalies answering to him."

O5-6: "I recommend we use SCP-682's recruitment as an intelligence opportunity. If A'malther is willing to take SCP-682 under his command, it suggests he sees potential in the anomaly's destructive tendencies. If we can track its movements or monitor its actions under his rule, we may gain valuable insight into his plans and objectives."

Conclusion:

The O5 Council agrees that A'malther's interaction with SCP-682 marks a pivotal escalation in his activities. While his dominance over SCP-682 showcases his strength, it also underscores the need for a deeper understanding of his endgame. The Foundation must balance diplomacy and covert monitoring to prevent further loss of control while preparing for potential conflict.
