Chapter 41: Unchained
After a moment, in Site-19, a portal opens, and O5 Council goes out of it, along SCP-9743 (A'malther), and A'habbat. O5 Council leaded both to SCP-914, where once there after a long walk, SCP-9743 placed the settings to 'Very Fine', and then entered inside the left chamber, closing behind him.
SCP-914 started processing, but in short moment, it started having problems to finish, as slowly, red lights started to glow stronger from inside. A'habbat, worried for her god, and fiancé, suddenly blushes as what sees.
SCP-914 finishes with high complications and difficulties, but then, once the right chamber is open, something bigger emerges. SCP-9743, now with another total different shape, emerged.
SCP-9743 was now a more taller and bigger goat with good horns and low fur, wearing a skeleton reinforced armor with rubies and red illustrations as a symbol of a heart with outlines in the chest and torso. SCP-9743's eyes were green and blue with red outlines, and now his size was increased by 30% in both height and weight. SCP-9743 was now 7'2 feet tall, and his weight was shaped to remind a bodybuilder, but with less muscles, and yet more strength.
SCP-9743, once outside SCP-914, started stretching his arms and shoulders, while then flexing.
SCP-9743: "... It feels so good not having any chain restricting me by any possible way... I don't feel anything, and now, without that human body, I have no restrictions or uncontrolled emotions..."
A'habbat moves closer to SCP-9743, and starts fluttering by the true form of SCP-9743.
SCP-9743: "A'habbat... I remember what happened, and... I will just say... It was certainly good to new possible levels... Fiancée~"
This comment instantly makes A'habbat blush, but also feel fluttered. More and more, SCP-9743 was more as deity and divinity, like A'habbat wanted from him to be.
A'habbat, clearly overwhelmed by a mix of emotions, would approach SCP-9743 with both reverence and excitement, her composure briefly faltering as she processes his transformation. She speaks with a tone that blends admiration, pride, and a hint of flirtation:
A'habbat: "A'malther... My divine sibling, my god, my fiancé... At last, you stand before me as you were always meant to be—unbound, unbroken, a true embodiment of perfection. Your form now radiates the power and majesty that no mortal could ever comprehend."
She steps even closer, her eyes glowing faintly with admiration as she gestures toward his newly enhanced body and armor.
A'habbat: "This is who you are, A'malther—a being above all others. No chains, no fleshly weaknesses, no mortal burdens to drag you down. You were never meant to linger among them, bound to their fragile existence. You are divine, and the world will tremble before your glory... as it should."
Her voice softens slightly, though her pride and excitement remain evident.
A'habbat: "And now, A'malther, as your goddess and your fiancée... I vow to stand at your side, not as a mere companion, but as the one who will guide you to your rightful throne over all creation. Together, we will reshape this world—and all worlds—into something worthy of your divinity."
She leans slightly closer, her voice dropping to an almost intimate whisper:
A'habbat: "I have always believed in you, A'malther. Now, I see you have finally begun to believe in yourself."
SCP-9743 nods while looking at A'habbat, but then turns to look at the O5 Council.
SCP-9743: "Take me to the reptile. I will do grant you with a gift to make you know, you all are of my property now."
After a moment of hesitation, O5 Council stared at each other, until then, they leaded you to SCP-682. SCP-9743 didn't doubt and entered SCP-682's containment chamber without hesitation.
Almost instantly, SCP-682 attacked SCP-9743, but for everyone's surprise, SCP-9743 suddenly grabbed SCP-682's mouth, and with only his strength, he broke SCP-682's mouth, to then quit the bottom part of SCP-682's mouth and threw it away. SCP-9743 then, grabbed SCP-682, and started spinning it, while crashing it against the ground and walls. After a moment of physical dominance, SCP-9743 threw SCP-682 away, and started flexing.
SCP-9743: "It feels so good... Being out of that dirty and disgusting human vessel... Finally I am me... Finally I can really feel like the True God of Hyperdeath."
SCP-9743 turned to look at SCP-682, and then, started obliterating it. After a while, SCP-9743 decided it was enough, and with a blaster, he almost vaporized SCP-682, and for the last pieces remaining, he shot again, shooting each piece and part remaining of SCP-682, vaporizing and neutralizing SCP-682, while damaging the ground of the containment chamber.
Once SCP-682 was neutralized, SCP-9743 went out of the containment chamber, and stood near A'habbat, and looking at the O5 Council.
SCP-9743: "Do not make me regret this gift I gave you."
SCP-9743 opened a portal, and before SCP-9743 entering, he gave a last stare at the O5 Council.
SCP-9743: "... Tell Iris for me, it is her fault. A good girlfriend must hear and understand her boyfriend, not pass of him and not give any chance for any explanation possible."
With this said, SCP-9743, entered the portal, and then A'habbat entered following him, and the portal closed behind her.
The O5 Council's reaction to this sequence would involve a mix of relief, trepidation, and strategic evaluation. They would immediately begin discussing the implications of SCP-9743's actions, both the neutralization of SCP-682 and his declaration of dominance. Here's how their discussion might unfold:
O5-1: (Speaking first, his tone measured but with a hint of unease) "It seems SCP-9743—no, A'malther—has finally embraced his role, or at least what he perceives it to be. The neutralization of SCP-682 is... significant. Something we've failed to achieve for decades, he accomplished in mere moments."
O5-4: (Leaning forward, his tone more cautious) "Significant, yes, but also dangerous. His language—'You all are my property now.' That wasn't a gift; it was a warning. He's asserted dominance not just over the anomalies but over us. We're walking a razor's edge with him."
O5-6: (Speaking with a slight hint of exasperation) "And what choice do we have? SCP-682 is neutralized. That alone shifts the entire balance of our containment efforts. Hundreds of personnel and resources are freed. It's a victory, no matter how dangerous he might become."
O5-3: (Cutting in sharply) "That's short-term thinking. Yes, SCP-682 is neutralized, but at what cost? He clearly sees us as subordinates—or worse, pawns. His alignment with A'habbat complicates this further. She's been shaping him, pushing him further into this 'godhood' mentality. Together, they're an even greater existential threat."
O5-5: (Looking contemplative) "True, but we can't ignore his hesitation, his humanity. His words about Iris... That wasn't the voice of a god. That was a scorned man, hurt and seeking validation. If we can exploit that sliver of humanity, perhaps we can still maintain some control."
O5-7: (Skeptical) "And what happens when that sliver disappears? A'malther is changing rapidly. His new form, his behavior—it's clear he's shedding his human attachments. Soon, there may be nothing left of the SCP-9743 we once knew."
O5-1: (Looking at the group with a somber expression) "The portal... Did anyone notice how A'habbat followed him, almost as if to ensure he didn't stay? She's manipulating him, steering him further from us. If her influence grows unchecked, we may face a situation where diplomacy is no longer an option."
O5-9: (Calm but resolute) "Then we plan accordingly. For now, we monitor and document. A'malther's actions toward SCP-682 bought us time—time to assess, strategize, and decide our next move. But we must also prepare for the worst. If he truly sees us as his 'property,' rebellion isn't a question of 'if,' but 'when.'"
Immediate Actions Decided by the O5 Council:
Analysis of SCP-682's Neutralization:
Comprehensive studies will begin immediately on SCP-682's remains, or lack thereof, to confirm complete neutralization. Any potential remnants or regeneration factors must be ruled out.
Monitoring SCP-9743 and A'habbat:
Advanced surveillance of SCP-9743's void will be prioritized, with efforts to track his movements and interactions with A'habbat. Research teams will be tasked with analyzing the dynamics between SCP-9743 and A'habbat, particularly her influence over his decisions.
Strategic Reassessment of SCP-105:
SCP-9743's final words regarding SCP-105 ("It is her fault") will be scrutinized. Psychological evaluations of SCP-105 will be conducted to assess her mental state and determine any potential leverage or risk she might pose.
Evaluation of SCP-914's Role:
Further studies will be conducted on SCP-914 to understand its limits, especially after its apparent difficulty processing SCP-9743. The implications of SCP-9743's transformation will be analyzed for any future containment or enhancement risks. Dr. Sophia Adler's Comments:
Dr. Adler: (Speaking in a private debrief to the Council) "SCP-9743's words about Iris struck me deeply. Beneath all the godhood posturing, he's still... lost. He seeks purpose, validation, and a place to belong, but he's channeling those desires into something destructive. A'habbat only amplifies his worst instincts, feeding his delusions of grandeur while isolating him further from humanity."
Dr. Adler: (Pausing for a moment, looking visibly conflicted) "His decision to destroy SCP-682 was both a display of power and a test of loyalty. He's pushing boundaries, seeing how far he can go before we resist. But I fear he's also testing himself—his determination, his ability to truly let go of humanity. If we want to stop this escalation, we must remind him of the parts of himself that still care, that still feel. Because if those vanish entirely, we won't be dealing with a reluctant god. We'll be dealing with a tyrant."
The Council ends the meeting with a mixture of relief, unease, and a growing awareness that their control over SCP-9743 is slipping further away. They know they must tread carefully, balancing diplomacy with preparation for the inevitable confrontation.
