Scarlet Tears- Primal

Chapter 54: Maw of the End

The battlefield fell into a tense silence, the air trembling with the aftermath of Kazimir's collapse. Cracks formed beneath his feet where the impact of the last strike had flung him into the concrete. Smoke rose. Blood trickled from his mouth. Even his allies had started to move—Riah's wings flaring, Tyrone calling out.

And then—A burst of blue and black energy exploded outward, engulfing Kazimir.

A shockwave rang through the city. Streetlights shattered. Dust and debris spiraled like galaxies. The civilians screamed. Ingress froze mid-step.

But Kazimir's allies… they didn't flinch.

Tyrone grinned. "Nice one… I guess he's not done after all."

Riah's voice was calm but resolute. "That's Maw of the End. He used it to nullify the chain seal. Every trace of suppression—gone."

Neve narrowed her eyes, her white hair flickering like frost in the winds. "Things are about to get serious… I'd suggest we stay back. For the second time in history… Kazimir's tapping into his true form. This time he's at full has his full strength, this won't end well for you, Ingress."

Gendai stepped forward, trembling—not in fear, but in memory. Her voice, soft but burning, whispered, "I remember the trauma… the pressure… when I first saw this. I could barely breathe. But now... I'm no longer afraid. Get him, Kazimir."

Raijin let out a hoarse laugh. "Hah! He's awake now. That's not just his limit—he's in his prime."

Kamaki's mouth dropped. "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL—BRO LOOKS SICK AS FUCK YO!"

Jessie's violet flames danced around her as her gaze locked on her brother. "Yeah… And if those civilians value their lives, they should run. Brother—show them. Show them the rage they betrayed. Show them why loyalty should never be discarded. Show them what happens when you betray the king."

Lihanna held her ground, eyes wide as she felt the crushing energy radiating from Kazimir. "This pressure… A few months ago, it would've crushed me completely."

Then—

The chains shattered.

The binding magic crumbled like ash in the wind.

Kazimir stepped out of the black-and-blue smoke. His hair had deepened into an abyssal navy, with glowing cracks running down his arms and neck. His coat was gone, revealing a sleeveless obsidian bodysuit that pulsed with Imaginary Essence. The shadows behind him twisted, as if terrified to touch him.

And his eyes—his eyes were alive with a divine fury.

Kazimir raised his gaze, locking eyes with Ingress. A low smirk crept across his face.

Kazimir:"You really thought that was enough to put me down?"

Ingress:(stepping back slightly, grin twitching)"Doesn't matter. You've shown it now. The world saw. This is your true face, Kazimir. And I'll be the one to kill you, to make history—to be the legend who struck down the Eye of Nullity."

Kazimir laughed—a low, lethal sound.

Kazimir:"Oh please. This fight ended the moment it began."

He raised one arm, and the air crackled. A long, chained nodachi—Twilight Deliverance—materialized beside him. As his fingers brushed the hilt, the chains exploded into fragments of lightning.

The blade pulsed once.

Then Kazimir moved.

A blur. A sonic boom. A storm.

He appeared before Xavier, driving his knee into the former ally's chest. Xavier barely blocked with his scythe before being sent flying through a steel barrier. From the sky, Tojo descended with both swords gleaming—but Kazimir twisted, dodging with surgical grace as a blade grazed his cheek.

Kazimir launched upward—only for Xavier to reappear midair.

He spun and kicked Xavier into Ingress.

Tojo reappeared behind him with silent footwork, blade ready to cleave—

But Kazimir was already turning, his hand catching Tojo's wrist mid-swing. With a pivot of pure power, he spun Tojo and flung him straight into Xavier, sending both crashing into a crater below.

Tyrone:(mouth agape)"Holy… So this is Kazimir at full power…"

Riah:"He's still holding back. He's learned how to suppress Maw just enough to avoid self-destruction. He's not rampaging. He's hunting. Ingress isn't even close to his level anymore."

Neve:(Muttering as frost gathered at her fingertips)"Maw's passive nullification gives him immunity. Nothing binds him now. Not even the laws of this city."

Riah:(quietly, with finality)"This fight… is over."

From the crater, Ingress, Xavier, and Tojo tried to rise. But the ground shook.

They couldn't move.

A crushing gravitational force pinned them to the earth. Their limbs trembled under its weight, faces tilted upward—eyes wide—as Kazimir hovered above them, blade raised to the heavens.

Then—

The world cracked.

A burst of Imaginary Essence erupted from the sky itself, pulled from realms beyond comprehension. His sword bloomed with light—blacker than black, deeper than space. A star collapsed into the edge of his blade.

Tyrone:"Wait… I've seen this before…!"

Jessie:(eyes wide)"He's… using her move. That's Mom's final attack. It's… Twilight Severance."

Neve:"May the stars show mercy on them. Because Kazimir won't."

Kazimir's voice echoed from the heavens.

Kazimir:"I gave you many chances to be friends but none of that matter. Now feel the the depths of the abyss"

And then—

He swung.

The slash descended like a celestial judgment. The sky tore open. The city cracked apart. A ripple of cosmic energy expanded outward, erasing civilians too close to the epicenter. The broadcast drones flickered and died. The city was reduced to ash and silence.

Ingress, wide-eyed and frozen, could do nothing.

The blade landed.

The world trembled.

And a rift in reality remained—etched into the sky, the earth, and the soul of everyone who watched.

The battle was over.
