Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 948: Cannon Fodder

The whiplash attack range of the Swamp Alligator's tail covered the entirety of Robin and ViciouSorc's sides.

However, the two sides weren't some amateurs who would panic and forget what to do. Before the tail could even slam down on them, they each activated their life-saving skills and made sure to take damage from the lowest projectile.

BAM!

A smokescreen was created and nobody died from the attack.

Robin panted heavily as he glanced at his health bar. "60% left. Not the worst I supposed."

"We have around 50% left," Robin's group said in a somewhat relieved tone.

At the very least, they didn't have their game character devoured alive by a freaking Swamp Alligator.

While Robin's side was faring well, ViciouSorc and Mentos were in shambles as their defense was the weakest. In fact, they were barely between 35 and 40% in health points.

After all, the ending of the whiplash attack impacted their side the most.

"Ugh, I can't believe there are monsters in a battle royale." ViciouSorc gnashed his teeth and cursed.

No one would have anticipated that the battle royale wasn't just players alone.

While they were sulking heavily, a voice suddenly echoed from afar.

"Oh, you all are still alive huh? Daring to scheme against a member of the Malefic Order Guild, you all deserved to die, people of Driftcore. As for Robin, I'll make sure your Lazy Horizon Guild will learn of this incident."

Almost immediately, both Robin and ViciouSorc's faces turned pale.

It's over!

That was the mindset that those two currently have.

ViciouSorc was frightened by being expelled from Driftcore for touching a member of the Malefic Order Guild, and Robin was frightened by being isolated from Lazy Horizon.

Robin was banking on the fact that he could succeed in the trial and nullified his crimes. However, even a fool could tell that his desire and goal were destined to fail.

And this was caused by none other than an alligator monster.

"No, we can still talk things through," Robin called out, clearly hoping Xu Feng would assist them.

"Yes, it wasn't our intention, Mister Reckonizer. We were just blinded by Robin's threat." ViciouSorc chimed in.

In a battle against a monster, a healer was a must. So Xu Feng was extremely vital to their survival.

More importantly, they were clinging to the hope that Xu Feng could enable them to escape safely. He wasn't within the lethal field range of the Swamp Alligator.

"Fine, if you want my help then drop all your equipment." Xu Feng quickly demanded. "Don't worry, I'm only afraid that you will backstab me again. The equipment can be returned to you once we deal with the alligator."

Hesitation quickly flashed across their eyes.

Drop their equipment?

That was no different than having a police officer asking the criminal to drop his guns and they would let them run away.

Who would dare to risk their life and believe the police officer's words?

Unfortunately, they couldn't afford to delay further when the Swamp Alligator already resumed its frenzy.

Mentos and all of Robin's group were snared by the Swamp Alligator's tails as they were dragged underground. The rumbling of the ground also tremored heavily.

Soon, the player count on the sky also decreased in the precise numbers that the Swamp Alligator had captured.

With only Robin and ViciouSorc left alone, they could only grit their teeth and drop all their equipment, leaving themselves with only the basic wear.

"There, are you happy now?" Robin shouted aloud.

"Quickly rescue us!" ViciouSorc cried aloud. "You wouldn't even be able to take our equipment if the Swamp Alligator came and got us."

The two were very clever and made sure to throw their equipment near the Swamp Alligator's last appearance.

Given the Swamp Alligator was taking its time to feast on the players' corpses, one could see its bubbling-like form on the surface. This indicated that the Swamp Alligator was stationed beneath it. It wasn't even wary of being bombarded whatsoever because its strength far exceeded them.

'Hmph, want our free equipment for naught? You better work hard for it.' ViciouSorc sneered inwardly.

'Once you came over and assisted us. I'll quickly kill you and ViciouSorc.' Robin thought to himself.

Everyone was greedy and filled with insidious intentions. They refused to let anybody take advantage of them, but they were also clever in understanding the situation.

In the current state, Xu Feng held the upper hand, so they naturally had to comply and oblige to his demands.

However, once the danger was over, the ones who would have the upper hand were them.

A healer trying to contest against a Swordsman and Sorcerer?

Now that was a hilarious joke!

Unfortunately, their scheme could only forever live in their mindset.

"Thank you for being so greedy and allowing me to stall for this long." Xu Feng suddenly exclaimed and activated three Ragged Scrolls.

All three of them were AoE offensive types that covered the whole range.

As for the Swamp Alligator hiding underground, it would also be doomed for eternity because of its arrogance.

To set up the scene, Xu Feng first needed to ensure the Swamp Alligator remained stationary.

The best way to do that was to have the Swamp Alligator target both Robin and ViciouSorc's group. Subsequently, Xu Feng needed to create a barricade to block off any third party from interfering.

Lastly, Xu Feng needed to convince the two to drop their equipment, effectively having their attributes decreased substantially.

After all, the Ragged Scrolls he was using were meant for monsters and not players. But that didn't mean it wouldn't damage them either.

With all three factors already met, Xu Feng would be a fool to stall the situation any longer.

As the three Ragged Scrolls activated in unison, both Robin and ViciouSorc could only see a colorful blast rushing in their direction.

"Hah, I should have just killed this bastard from the start." ViciouSorc truly regretted listening to Xu Feng's flowery words.

"Shut up," Robin hissed coldly. "I became cannon fodder due to terrible luck. I could have just walked the other direction instead of staying here where an alligator was lurking."
