Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 302: Concession

Amidst Xu Feng's confusion, Carmen decided to take a seat next to him and forwarded the message.

"Hundred Ghost wants to make a concession." She explained.

"A concession?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow. He then began to read the message that was forwarded to him.

As he finished reading, Xu Feng was somewhat in a daze.

In the message, Hundred Ghost pleaded for mercy repeatedly and said he was in the wrong and was willing to compensate for the damages he caused to her.

At the same time, he requested her to ask Lin Feng to cease further actions in retaliation for the Reaver Guild. Everything was done by him solely and the Reaver Guild was innocent.

'Is this really the Hundred Ghost I know?' Xu Feng began to question the authenticity of the message, but the sender was indeed Hundred Ghost ID.

The game username could be the same, but its ID was unique solely to that individual. Additionally, no one else was allowed to log into another person's account no matter what.

Hence, there was zero chance of someone sneakily logging into Hundred Ghost's account and sending the message.

"What should I reply, Guild Leader?" Carmen gazed at him and asked curiously. "Or should I just put him on read and ignore him?"

Normally, she wouldn't even care about these messages, but since the decision was up to Xu Feng, she planned on listening to his advice.

To be honest, she had long gotten her revenge after witnessing the downfall of the Reaver Guild. It was just Xu Feng who seemed adamant in punishing them further and beyond.

Just when Carmen thought Xu Feng would tell her to ignore it, he turned to her and smiled lightly.

"What do you suggest I do?" He questioned. "Hundred Ghost is pleading for forgiveness from you, so if you wish to forgive him, then I shall cease my actions."

"Eh?" Astounded, Carmen stood up in surprise. Clearly, she was not expecting Xu Feng to return the decision to her, much less comply with what she wanted.

Truth be told, Xu Feng didn't plan on letting the branch guild exist further in Star Falls City, hence his request to ban them.

However, knowing Carmen and not wanting to use her as an excuse to continue his attack on the Reaver Guild, he decided to give them a leeway.

At the end of the day, he never believed he could destroy the Reaver Guild as a whole in an instant. They were a bona fide first-rate guild after all, with tremendous funding in the real world.

Since Hundred Ghost was willing to apologize, it meant that the GRIM Corporation themselves were admitting defeat, albeit in a roundabout manner.

"Are you being serious right now?" Carmen asked, sitting back down and staring deep into his eyes.

"Yes, as long as you say the word, I shall put it into action." Xu Feng's tone was firm and determined. Not an ounce of wavering or hesitation could be seen in his expression.

Carmen fidgeted her fingers lightly as she uttered, "I don't want the Guild Leader to continue to target the Reaver Guild, but I saw the forum post that you had somehow imposed a ban on them through the Adventure Association. If I asked to back off now, then I would have ruined your effort." Your next journey awaits at empire

On one hand, she didn't wish to be entangled with the damnable Reaver Guild any further, but on the other hand, Xu Feng must have done a lot to impose a ban on them.

Either decision she chose would be terrible for the opposite person.

Seeing her somewhat complicated and bittersweet smile, Xu Feng chuckled and nodded his head.

"Very well, I'll lift up the ban and the bounty on them as long as they compensate 100 million dollars." Xu Feng smiled.

"100 million dollars??" Startled, Carmen looked at him as if she had just seen a ghost. That was 100 million dollars, and not 100 dollars.

Who would make such a big compensation?

Not even those big court cases revolving around conglomerates would compensate this much!

"Relax and just respond as such." Xu Feng was unwilling to explain further.

Now that he revealed the card of being capable of imposing a ban on them, then in relation, he could also impose a ban on their partnering guilds as well.

All those trapped in the Star Falls City were currently his hostages, and the GRIM Corporation might refuse, but could it refuse when their partnered corporations or companies started to hound them down?

100 million dollars in exchange for their freedom and development in the Divine World.

It was honestly a very cheap price in Xu Feng's opinion.

Thanks to Zhao Xin's announcement of their Zhao Enterprise, many are turning their eyes to the Divine World. So for a potential branch guild to remain stagnant for who knows how long, they would be losing more than just 100 million dollars.

Carmen knew once Xu Feng decided on something, it would be nearly impossible for him to change. Thus, she was rather taken aback when she heard him taking a step back and was willing to listen to her.

"Alright, I'll say it's your words though." Carmen cheekily said, unwilling to be seen as a money-grubber.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng nodded his head and smiled, "Yes, you can tell him that it's my boss' meaning."

At first, Carmen thought he was really gutsy, but then she gasped.

"Y-Your boss? You have a boss?" She asked in an astounded tone.

"Of course, I do. The boss is merely busy somewhere else and delegated me to do all these tasks."

"And you're only telling me this now? Wait, so are you the Guild Leader or not?"

"I'm the Guild Leader, but an acting one. However, you can relax because I have full authority."

Still somewhat skeptical, Carmen narrowed her eyes. "Then is it your boss who spotted my talent?"

Toward this question, Xu Feng shook his head. "No, didn't I just say the boss delegates most of the matter here to me. Your talent— I believe in you and the reason why I hold you in high regard. Boss has no idea of it."
