( Yuuki's POV )

I was focused on my goal, but next to me, Astraea was pouting, I was getting better at reading her, so I tried to guess what she was going through.

Yuuki: You're upset about the food I borrowed from you.

Astraea: humph, master took all my food, and we couldn't even eat together again.

' I only took about a third of what she had and most of that was leftovers from the first day of camp. '

Yuuki: Ok, how about this? there must be a lot of ingredients around here, if you collect enough, I promise to prepare something special to the best of my abilities.

Astraea: Really? And we can all eat together?

Yuuki: I promise.

Astraea: Yay~ I'll find enough for a feast.

Excited, Astraea flew in a random direction while I continued straight ahead, I'm sure she could handle almost anything this place could throw at her, and if she ran into trouble, I'd know about it immediately.

Irina told me about minor erdtree scattered throughout these lands, and although that was nothing like the real thing, It was worth investigating the place, Grimm hurried to the there, and there I was reminded that I must not let my guard down in this place.

A battle was already taking place near the tree, and to my surprise I came across a familiar face, The well-endowed elf Shera was fighting some sort of giant tree creature, she was holding on very well so I didn't intervene, She wasn't even using her summoned creature and she was dominated in the fight and when she pulled out the special arrows I had given her I knew that was over, Three arrows at the same time, three explosions and the creature stopped moving.

Yuuki: Impressive, that thing didn't even touch you.

Shera: Yuuki!

Hearing my praise of her performance, Shera's battle-hardened expression immediately fell silent and she ran to my side to give me a tight hug, that hug lasted a little longer than I expected but after that we exchanged information, she was only here for a couple of hours so that exchange was just me telling her my plans and what had happened the other day, with that she joined my party and I continued exploring the place.

Shera: I don't know how you're always calm in these kinds of situations.

Yuuki: Well, after our connection was broken I'm sure the first thing Atago would do would be to contact the order of the cross and they will investigate the camp where we stayed and they will open a portal here, if that has not happened it is because time runs faster here, in other words it is business as usual.

Shera: Well I'm glad I'm not alone here.

After exploring for a while with Shera, we took a short break in an old crumbling church, we sat around a light that was warm and comforting, Irina told us that these were sites of grace, just by being close to them, our tiredness was washed away.

There was something else I was feeling but I decided to leave that for later, I had my hands extended towards the light as if it were a bonfire in the form of a joke, and Shera put on a small smile but our little rest was interrupted when I felt a disturbance in space, I wasn't sure if that was another portal opening but I followed that signal anyway.

We went a little off course, but that was no problem, When we reached the point of the disturbance, things looked normal or relatively normal considering the situation we found ourselves in, but that changed quickly, above us, a strange light appeared and began to fall rapidly.

I spread my dragon wings to observe the phenomenon, but when I got closer, I saw a white-haired girl, Aside from the light her body was emitting, she was unconscious and seriously injured.

There were immediately many theories in my head about how this had happened or who she was, but the one thing I was sure of was that I had to help her, I caught her before she fell and the moment I touched her body the strange glow disappeared.

I started to heal her but the girl did not regain consciousness so I thought it would be best to return to Castle Morne with her but before I could land I caught a whiff of a familiar scent, not of someone I knew but of something I had faced before, my scales and claws grew as I saw a flying dragon heading towards me quickly.

The girl's wounds were so severe that if I stopped healing her she might not make it so I summoned the fire cloth from my axe and decided to fight with the mysterious girl tied to my back, With the dragon dangerously close he released a breath of fire that could cook a normal human, I responded with a breath of water and our attacks canceled each other out, once again I got frustrated with my young body reducing the power of my attacks but on the plus side more combat experience is always welcome, I just have to worry about not damaging the package.

After my first attack failed, I flew above the dragon and pointed a finger at the dragon's wings.

Yuuki: [multiply][water bullet]

With my two skills combined, I delivered a barrage of water bullets that ended the dragon's ability to fly, and his body fell hard to the ground, I immediately followed up with a [Water Dragon] attack, but the dragon was almost as fast on the ground as it was in the air and was able to sidestep my attack, Then he used another fire breath and I dived straight towards him protecting myself and the girl with an ice shield, his breath couldn't get past my shield and when he stopped I threw an ice spear straight at his throat, that was a lot of damage but the worst thing was that the ice kept growing inside him, multiple ice spikes emerged from his body and he let out a deafening roar before falling lifeless.

Behind me, I felt the girl squeeze my shoulder lightly, but when I turned my head, I saw that she was still unconscious, that must have been an involuntary movement.
