Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Journey to the Cretaceous Period
This was my first time riding in the time machine since coming to this world. The time tunnel truly was like a tunnel, with our machine flying through it. Flowing clocks surrounded us on all sides.
Suddenly, someone shouted from behind us to stop.
"How is this possible?" Doraemon exclaimed in surprise at being pursued.
I quickly told him, "They're after Piisuke!"
Hearing this, Doraemon immediately accelerated. The masked man behind us sped up too, extending a mechanical arm from his time machine to try and grab us.
Though Doraemon complained about the other machine's superior performance, his piloting skills were impressive. Despite our outdated model, he expertly dodged and weaved, staying ahead of our pursuer's grasp.
"You're amazing, Doraemon!" I thought excitedly during the thrilling chase.
Just as I was about to use my powers to blast the other machine, giant white eyeball robots suddenly appeared. The masked man muttered in frustration before retreating, saying he'd be back.
"We're safe at last!" Doraemon sighed in relief.
After traveling a bit further, we finally reached the exit. As we emerged from the time tunnel, a primeval landscape came into view - a dense, misty forest with enormous trees dripping with moisture.
Doraemon landed the time machine on a beach outside the forest. We restored Piisuke to his original size and bid him farewell, telling him to live happily in this world. As we walked back to the time machine, Piisuke cried out pitifully behind us.
I knew this wasn't actually Cretaceous Japan, so we'd meet again. I had to let things play out according to the original story, even if it meant temporary hardship for Piisuke. Why change the plot unnecessarily when I could use my foreknowledge to my advantage?
Doraemon thought I was being strong for Piisuke's sake. He kept trying to console me, which was pretty amusing since I knew the truth.
…
The next day, Gian and Suneo showed up demanding I fulfill our bet. Knowing it was time for our group of five to assemble, I skipped the part where they'd pin me to the table. Instead, I told them I'd prove myself soon, but we needed to gather Shizuka and Doraemon first.
Though skeptical, they didn't dare mess with me given my new abilities. Once everyone was present, I had Doraemon bring out the Time TV. Despite his concerns about making me miss Piisuke, I insisted it was fine.
As expected, the TV showed Piisuke being bullied. Suneo identified him as a Alamosaurus living in North America.
"North America?!" Doraemon cried. "We accidentally sent Piisuke to Cretaceous America instead of Japan due to a time machine malfunction!"
Before Doraemon could protest further, we all piled into the drawer and entered the time tunnel. Poor Doraemon piloted the beat-up machine with all five of us crammed inside.
After a wild, bumpy ride, we finally emerged in Cretaceous North America - right where we'd originally left Piisuke.
As I stumbled out of the time machine onto the sandy beach, my heart was racing with excitement. We had actually made it to the Cretaceous period! And there, in the distance, I could see a familiar figure - Piisuke!
"Piisuke! It's been so long!" I called out, feeling a wave of nostalgia as my old dinosaur friend came bounding towards us.
Suneo and Gian quickly admitted defeat, apologizing for doubting me. Even Shizuka looked a bit sheepish for not believing in me.
Meanwhile, Doraemon was trying to awkwardly hide the battered state of the time machine behind him. I had to stifle a laugh - I already knew it was broken, but I wasn't worried. I had my own ways of getting us back if needed.
To distract from the time machine situation, Doraemon suggested we all go play for a while before heading back. Suneo and Gian eagerly agreed, ready to splash in the prehistoric waters. Shizuka hesitated, always the good girl worried about getting home late. But Doraemon assured her we could return to the exact moment we left.
Using his Dress-Up Camera, Doraemon outfitted us all in swimwear. I couldn't help but steal a few glances at Shizuka in her red swimsuit. Her long, smooth legs were on full display, and the tight fabric accentuated her budding curves in all the right places. I felt a familiar stirring as I admired her.
Without hesitation, I dove into the water and started swimming. Everyone was shocked - they still thought of me as the old Nobita who couldn't swim. But I wasn't that person anymore. I showed off with butterfly strokes and free-style, reveling in their surprised expressions.
While Suneo and Gian went off to play with Piisuke, Shizuka and I splashed around together in the warm Cretaceous sea. The sound of her laughter was music to my ears. As we explored a coral reef, Shizuka suddenly lost her footing. She started to fall backwards, and instinctively I reached out to catch her.
Our lips met as she fell against me. For a moment we both froze, then I wrapped my arms around her and deepened the kiss. Her mouth was so soft, her tongue sweet as I gently explored. When we finally parted, Shizuka's cheeks were flushed pink.
"Nobita, you're so bad!" she scolded, but she didn't push me away.
Emboldened, I pulled her close again, capturing her lips in another passionate kiss. This time she barely resisted, even seeming to kiss me back. My hand found its way to her chest, cupping the soft mound through her swimsuit. She was small, but perfectly formed.
Suddenly Shizuka tensed and pulled away, looking flustered. I could hear the others approaching, so I released her. She hurried off, but not before I caught the shy smile on her face.
As I watched her go, a mischievous grin spread across my face. This Cretaceous adventure was shaping up to be very interesting indeed...
