Shido removed his shoe and placed it on the side along with the other shoes.

"Shido!"

Hearing his name being called, Shido turned, but then something moved at a fast speed before smashing into him.

Shido grimaced since his solar plexus was hit.

It was Kotori in Commander mode.

She was currently watching him with eyes that looked at him as if she didn't know him.

Shido can only smile bitterly at her indifference.

He knew he was at fault for not saying anything about his whereabouts or condition, making her both angry and worried.

He wanted to scold himself for being drunk in lust the previous night, but how could he not be? Shido was also just a normal person, he couldn't resist such a temptation, especially after all that happened yesterday.

Even with the experience from his previous life, there was a limit to his resistance to this kind of emotion.

But because of this, he has no excuse.

Seeing him unable to say anything, Kotori really wanted to slug him hard. She became so frantic when she could not reach his number. She even used Fraxinus all over Tengu City but she cannot even see a shadow of him. 

Because of this, she didn't manage to get any sleep as she was worried about his well-being. 

Even Tohka became emotionally unstable, nearly triggering a spatial quake. Fortunately, Reine was there to calm her down.

It was just when she received a call from him early in the morning did Kotori finally heaved a sigh of relief. 

Nevertheless, she immediately began scolding Shido for not saying anything, releasing all the frustration she had built up throughout the night.

But she could only helplessly wait for him to come back and settle things with him.

And now, watching him in front of her again, Kotori felt that she wanted to tear up somehow and leaped into his arms as Tohka did. Yet, she's in her Commander Mode and she cannot let herself be seen as vulnerable by other people, especially in front of Shido.

"Shido, don't leave us!"

"Like I said, how did you even come up with that idea?"

Shido felt that he was being cornered from both sides with Kotori and Tohka facing him.

Although he could still feel Kotori's chilling gaze, he temporarily ignored her and focused on making Tohka stop crying.

"Tohka, I will not leave you, okay?"

"No, Shido's a liar! You didn't come back home last night!"

"Something just came up so I was unable to return home."

"I'm sorry Tohka, I promise not to leave you again."

"H-Hmmp! You think your words can make me believe it!"

Looking at Tohka, who was now pouting while still clinging tightly to him, Shido could only sigh helplessly.

Coaxing Tohka was really hard and takes a lot of time to make her calm down.

Fortunately, she finally stopped crying and was just pouting now.

Shido then decided to use his secret weapon.

"Tohka, I bought you Kinako Bread on the way here."

Shido pulled out a bag of freshly baked Kinako Bread.

At the sight of the large quantity, Tohka's eyes lit up, gazing at the bread as though it were the most precious treasure in the world.

A drool even started to drip from her mouth, revealing just how much she craved the bread.

"H-Hmmp! You think much can make me forgive you!"

"There's more."

Shido took out another bag of cakes, pudding, and even corndog before he could calm this adorable glutton.

Watching Shido coax Tohka, Kotori was left speechless. She couldn't help but wonder where he had managed to pull out all those bags of food from.

After calming Tohka down and letting her enjoy her food, the group made their way to the living room to discuss Shido's sudden disappearance the previous night.

When they arrived at the living room, Shido saw Reine already sitting at the table while drinking coffee.

"Oh? You're back."

Reine expressionless face looked at their direction and stared at Shido for a brief moment. She gave a simple greeting before she moved her gaze away.

Watching Reine's action, though it was still her usual expression. Shido can tell that Reine was somehow angry at him. He couldn't help but wonder what had caused her to feel that way.

Shido was thinking of all the possible things that made her angry at him until he arrived at the worst conclusion he could think.

'...Did she know?'

Cold sweat began flowing on in back as he thought of her knowing what he did last night. 

He can immediately come up with a reason why she could know of what happened last night. Although her Reiryoku was sealed, she can still use a portion of it and she might have used it to track him and look at his situation.

And his guess is absolutely correct.

Last night Reine used her Spirit powers to locate him and peek at his situation. She was worried that something happened to this guy.

Though she knows that he is strong especially when he could escape Nightmare's pursuit.

Reine still couldn't help but worry, after all, they had an ambiguous relationship and Reine truly cared for him.

What she didn't expect is that when she found out that his location was at Origami's apartment, she was initially confused at first but her confusion was answered by a shocking scene.
