Ning and Shara took the horses through the grass, riding atop the uneven land as they made their way further down the side of the forest where the group of prisoners were staying.

To Ning's surprise, they weren't staying that far into the forest at all. He had expected them to be deep within it, but they were just past a few trees. They were just far away from the roads, hidden behind multiple bushes.

Ning was about to take the cart inside the forest when the leader explained.

"We stay in there to hide during the day. But at night, we come outside to sleep in the grass. It's much safer than the forest," the man said.

"I don't know if that is true," Ning said. "I would worry about the snakes."

"No need to worry about snakes or bugs," the leader said. "They usually don't come to where we are. We know exactly what to do to get rid of them."
