Reborn with Infinity Money System, I was Worshipped by All Universes!

Chapter237-You Betrayed Me for Two Hundred Million?!

Jerry's mouth twitched uncontrollably.

"Lord Velen, although I don't know why you insist on meeting my mentor, forgive me for being blunt — across the entire Titan Galaxy, even across the whole lower plane universe, there's no one qualified enough to make him descend in person."

"One hundred million low-grade mana crystals," Velen said with a beaming smile, raising a single finger.

Jerry gasped sharply.

"You... You're trying to bribe me!"

"I would never, ever sell out my mentor!" Jerry declared with righteousness.

"Two hundred million."

"Lord Velen!" Jerry almost cried out. "My mentor is the Blackgold Sovereign from the upper plane universe! If he finds out that I summoned him down here just for money—"

"Four hundred million."

Jerry's knees buckled, and he nearly collapsed on the spot.

"F-Four hundred million?!"

What the hell!?

Just because you're rich, you think you can do whatever you want?

But damn it — Jerry's heart was wildly tempted!

He struggled internally like a madman.

"Will mentor kill me? No, even if he breaks my legs, for four hundred million crystals, it's totally worth it!"

Just as he gritted his teeth and was about to give in, Velen suddenly changed his tune:

"Forget it. Two hundred million will do."

"???" Jerry almost coughed up blood.

"You—you're bargaining with yourself like this is a damn auction?!"

"Are you in or not?" Velen said lazily. "If not, I'll find someone else."

He made a show of turning to leave.

"Meet! I'll arrange it right now!" Jerry scrambled frantically, fearing Velen might lower the price again.

He pulled out a crimson scroll from his storage ring as fast as he could.

"System, how's that?" Velen said smugly in his mind. "I told you I could settle this with two hundred million."

[Ding! Host, if you keep lowballing him like this, I'm afraid you'll break Jerry's spirit completely.]

"You don't understand," Velen scoffed.

"This is the art of business negotiation!"

[Ding! Host, your true art is being shameless!]

Hearing the system's deadpan roast, Velen retorted without missing a beat:

"At least I have a face. Unlike you, who doesn't even have a set of facial features!"

[Ding! Host, you—!]

——BOOM!

Before the system could finish, an overwhelming surge of magical energy erupted across the fortress.

The fabric of space cracked open like paper, and from within, a middle-aged man draped in a flowing crimson-gold robe burst forth.

"Who dares to harm a disciple of the Blackgold Sovereign—"

But before he could finish roaring, he froze mid-sentence.

Because standing on either side of him, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, were two beings exuding terrifyingly oppressive auras.

To his left was a sweetly smiling little girl, licking a lollipop.

To his right was a red-haired, one-armed man radiating a chilling, bloodthirsty aura.

Blackgold Sovereign's pupils shrank violently.

What the hell!?

Isn't this supposed to be the lower plane universe?!

"How could there be monsters like these here?!"

"Yo, Blackgold old pal, long time no see!"

Apollo suddenly bounced out from behind, enthusiastically waving a broom.

Hearing a familiar voice, Blackgold Sovereign instinctively glanced over — and instantly widened his eyes in disbelief.

"Apollo...?!"

"Blackgold Sovereign, it's been a while!" Apollo greeted gleefully.

"This... this can't be happening..."

Jerry, who was watching from the side, turned completely to stone.

That guy wearing a janitor's uniform... actually knows my mentor?!

Blackgold Sovereign himself was dumbfounded.

He never imagined that his old rival, Apollo, would actually appear here in the lower plane universe — and it wasn't even a mere projection!

It was his real body!

Blackgold Sovereign's face turned dark as a storm cloud.

"Apollo?! What are you doing here!?"

"It's a long story~" Apollo said with a mischievous grin.

"You'll find out soon enough."

"Little girl, fetch his real body," Velen ordered.

With a casual swipe of her tiny hand, the lollipop girl tore another rift into space.

Blackgold Sovereign's face changed dramatically.

He tried to scatter his projection and escape.

But a cold voice from the red-haired man pinned him in place:

"You'd better behave. Otherwise, bringing down your real body will be the least of your worries."

Blackgold Sovereign had no choice but to grit his teeth and endure.

Moments later, his true body was forcibly summoned, and his powers were sealed.

Now he stood pitifully in the middle of the crowd, powerless.

Apollo pretended to comfort him.

"Don't worry, Blackgold Sovereign. The seal's only temporary. Once you return to the upper plane universe, you'll recover naturally."

Taking a deep breath, Blackgold Sovereign turned a sharp gaze toward Apollo and Jerry.

"What the hell is going on here?!"

"Because of your precious disciple," Apollo said with an exaggerated sigh, "Lord Velen learned of your existence."

He grinned wickedly.

"And I suggested that Lord Velen personally 'invite' you down. After all, cleaning the entire fortress by myself was getting pretty boring. I needed a buddy."

"....."

Blackgold Sovereign fell silent for three full seconds.

Then — he exploded.

"APOLLO!!! I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!!"

Snatching up his staff, he swung it furiously at Apollo.

Apollo danced around nimbly, dodging every blow while shouting:

"Calm down! Calm down! Full board accommodations included! Plus, we'll even give you an Astral Aurum Toilet!"

Jerry collapsed onto the ground, staring into the sky, hollow-eyed.

It's over. My mentor's been tricked into becoming a janitor...

Velen nodded with satisfaction.

"Not bad. Looks like we just found a new gardener for the fortress too."

"I'm going to kill you!!!"

Blackgold Sovereign roared, genuinely wanting to throttle Apollo.

He had been living a good life in the upper plane!

And now, all because this damned Apollo thought "it's too lonely cleaning alone", he got forcibly dragged down — sealed and humiliated!

"Mentor!" Jerry scrambled to his feet.

"Calm down! Please!"

"Remember, you still have to work under Apollo from now on!"

"What did you just say?"

Blackgold Sovereign froze.

Jerry clung to him tightly, refusing to let go.

"Mentor, Apollo is in charge of all the servants here now. You'll be working under his management! If you hurt him... your job might get even worse!"

Blackgold Sovereign took a deep breath, visibly restraining his rage — he truly couldn't bring himself to hurt his beloved disciple.

"Jerry," he said through gritted teeth, "tell me: how did they force you to call me down?"

After stabilizing his emotions, he fixed a burning gaze on Jerry.

"Mentor, you know me. I've always respected you the most!" Jerry said sincerely.

Blackgold Sovereign nodded.

"And then?"

"At first, I refused!" Jerry insisted.

"But then Lord Velen... he offered me two hundred million low-grade mana crystals... and, well, you know... at that price... I really couldn't refuse..."

Jerry explained tearfully.

"WHAT?! Two hundred million low-grade mana crystals — and you sold me out?!"

Blackgold Sovereign was so enraged he grabbed his staff again.

"After all I've done worrying about you — you backstabbing little brat!"

He chased after Jerry, swinging his staff wildly.

Jerry ran like his life depended on it, tears streaming down his face.

"Blackgold Sovereign! You mustn't!"

"Calm down!"

"This is your carefully selected, beloved mentee!"

From the sidelines, Apollo cheerfully fanned the flames:

"Exactly! Which is why you must strike hard and fast! Best to kill him in one blow before you get softhearted!"

"YOU BASTARD!"

Jerry screamed, dodging and cursing Apollo at the same time.

"Apollo, you're despicable!"

"Apollo, for once you said something right!"

Blackgold Sovereign laughed heartily — but noticeably didn't speed up.

He was only venting his anger verbally.

Deep down, he could never truly hurt Jerry.

"Wait, wait!" Apollo quickly backpedaled when he realized Blackgold Sovereign might actually land a hit.

"I was joking! Don't really smash the kid into dust!"

After the chaotic chase finally subsided, Blackgold Sovereign turned serious again.

"Apollo," he asked, "you have a mentee in the lower plane universe too, don't you?"

"Is he in this fortress as well?"
