Chapter 15: It's Going Down Now
Episode 15
After all the failing attempts to even lay one single blow on Edgar who was clearly taunting him and making him feel like an idiot, Arthur tried everything he can think of in hopes that maybe just maybe, even if it's only one time he would hit him. That was his goal.
The way Edgar was blocking all of Arthur's blow it was like they were in sync whatever Arthur tried, Edgar would see it in a matter of seconds. That's up until.
Edgar saw that Arthur was not going to do anything to him, so he became cocky and over confident he decided to slow down and lower his guard... Not realizing that he was actually opening up for Arthur to strike.
'He seems to be lowering his guard and his speed is not as fast as it was before. Why, is he getting tired? No, that can't be it. So why is he doing this? Who cares all I have to wait for is for him to let his guard down and wait for an opening then that's when I will strike.' Arthur was busy trying to come up with a plan.
Edgar smiled still facing down not even bothering himself to try and face his opponent, in a matter of seconds Edgar stopped trying to block all of Arthur's blows using his one hand.
He pushed him away creating some distance between them.
Edgar took a deep breath showing no signs of feeling tired and running out of power or anything which was a real concern with his limited Power timelapse running out.
[Buzz! Limited Power Time Remaining: 45:59 minutes.]
Arthur showing his signs of getting worn out, taking deep breaths trying to regain his strengths.
'There's an opening I've been waiting for.' Arthur calculating.
Edgar who seemed to have forgotten all about Arthur was busy stretching up his whole body; flexing his muscles and biceps, feeling his new six pack abs. It's safe to say that before he saw himself and the form his body was in. Edgar didn't know up until now.
Still his head faced down he counts his aps and then he laughs like a mine out loud but in silence, then he showed Arthur his new body, calling his up closer to come and see.
'What is wrong with him, isn't he tired from our fight? Magnificent he may have changed into a teenager, but looks like his mind is still a child's mind. And I think I had something to do with that.' Arthur still waiting for the right moment to strike.
Edgar gave him an opening, but not willingly Edgar got distracted mesmerized by the ashes and dust of Banshee, he laid down and played ash angel with Banshee's ashes. After a short period of time playing he stood up and looked at his master piece.
Clapped hands while admiring how good his angel is, that's when Arthur decided to strike.
'Now!' Arthur just leaped and went straight for Edgar who seemed like he wasn't aware of his attack or maybe he just ignored him.
Arthur was just so closer when Edgar decided to turn around, little did he know that Arthur had a few tricks up his sleeve. Because Edgar did burst Arthur and his attempt... But instead of allowing himself to be caught, he teleported instantly.
Appearing on the left side of Edgar, Arthur laid one massive blow that would shake the whole Dark World as a whole, and when he landed it on his cheek the sound and effect it made and left on Edgar was astounding.
BAM!
Edgar didn't even know what just happened and what just hit him, he just spinned all the way to the outside of the castle instead of flying.
KA-BOOM!
That was the sound of the door when Edgar came out spinning, the guard who was standing guard was caught so off guard that the impact of the door being blown opened also sent him flying.
Edgar tumbled a few times before actually landing into something.
Edgar shook his head trying to regain his sense of everything still kneeling with one knee, facing down what he didn't expect was the next attack from Arthur who just appeared out of nowhere.
SMACK!
That was the sound that sent waves across the Dark World Forrest when Edgar smashed his face deep into the hard cold lava ground.
Only his head was in the ground and his body was just lying there.
Edgar moved his fingers indicating and showing sign of life.
Arthur saw his movement, "You're still alive huh? How impressive!"
Arthur finishing him off with a couple more blow on his head driving his head in and deeper into the ground.
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
Edgar went quiet for a little bit his head facing deep into the hard, cold lava ground. Arthur waited and waited thinking that he might see some few signs of life, but nothing Edgar was done.
But just to be sure and on a safer side Arthur teleported and came back with a tree from the forest that was blown away by the effect and decided to plant it on top of Edgar's head.
The guard who was also blown away came back, "My lord, do you need some assistance?" Putting his axe down and bowing before Arthur.
"No need, Ferocious I got it covered if you really want to help go fetch your sister's ashes and meet me in the throne room.
"Yes, as you wish my liege." Ferocious did exactly as he was given he did go and fetch his sister's ashes.
Arthur watching over Edgar, "did you really think a mere child like you would ever stand toe to toe with a god like me? I am Aslot the Shape-shifter, the mimic, but the world now knows me as the Skinwalker. Hah, hah, hah! Stupid."
And he left.
Edgar still hadn't moved even if he were to dare and try it's not like he was going to be successful or even show any signs of movement, his head was knee deep into the ground and there was a tree on top of it.
It was obvious that Arthur was successful in dealing with him.
[Buzz!]
[Buzz!]
[Buzz!]
[Buzz!]
[Buzz!]
The ground shook but no one could feel it because it was the Character Guide System causing it and Edgar was the only person who can feel it and see it.
[Buzz! Limited Power Time Remaining: 30:01 minutes.]
'Where am I? Why is everything suddenly black? Did I die again and get reincarnated into a black hole? No, that's not it I can still feel the presence of my body but I can't move it, it's like I don't have control over it.' Edgar's consciousness starts to awaken.
Edgar tried to open his eyes, feeling like his head just got hit by a truck and his blur vision he sees something floating watching him.
It wasn't the Character Guide System, this thing looking at him felt like it was staring at him not into his eyes, but pierced... Into his soul.
'What are you?' his vision cleared.
What he saw wasn't something he was expecting, it was a face more like a mask with; his snowy-white hair but messy, his crystal clear water eyes just nothing but abyss, his smooth and soft skin he inherited from his mother was now dry and rough painted all white with cracks on his skin.
This mask or thing was just smiling at him giving him the creepy feeling like it's not something he wants to be face to face with, on the bottom of the floating mask/face.
GLITCH... GLITCH...
The Character Guide System was malfunctioning.
[Limited Power Time Remaining: 26:59 minutes.]
Everything came back to Edgar, 'Now, I remember when I went in that volcanic lava the system provided me with assistance, Limited Power and I chose yes I hope. But then everything went black once again... Is this thing the Limited Power?'
Something in Edgar was telling him to touch the damn thing, but doubts roamed his mind.
'No, I don't think I should touch it what if I damage it even more because judging by the looks of it the Character Guide System is already in a bad state, so if I touch it I might restart everything. And I have worked so hard.'
But something else roamed Edgar's mind as he was busy doubting himself and think of how hard he has worked to get here, some memories he'd forgotten about buried resurfaced.
He found himself thinking about what he had done to Melanie and her eyes how that because, Edgar saw the Character Guide System giving him an option and he took it because he was desperate and needed it. But.
And that's a big but...
Something unexplainable happened Edgar was now able to dodge each and every knights' attacks blowing their hands with just a simple stare, and it was almost as if he was aware of his power and actions but wasn't the one in control.
He finished all the knights surrounding and protecting Melanie.
Then it was her time.
