This time, the armored vehicle didn't lead the charge out of the station but stayed behind to cover the retreat, as Hobbs had requested. Once Dominic's truck attracted the city's police force, Hobbs' team would seize the opportunity to surprise and confront Hernan Reyes.

Dominic and Hobbs' assault stunned Hernan Reyes, who happened to be inspecting his cash at the police station. This was fortuitous timing, as Hernan wasn't typically at the station. Unlike in the original storyline, where Castle mocked the impracticality of a crime lord constantly guarding his money, this version of Hernan only came to the station today to ensure the safety of his funds.

Who could have predicted that while he was in the police chief's office, reassured about his money's security, the station would plunge into darkness, followed by a loud explosion from the underground garage, and then the shocking news that Dominic's crew had stolen not just the money but the entire safe? This audacious act was a direct slap to Hernan's face, questioning his authority and reputation.

Enraged, Hernan ordered the police chief to deploy all available forces to capture Dominic and retrieve his money. As for Hobbs, who had previously escaped an ambush, Hernan decided to ignore him for now, focusing instead on reclaiming his stolen wealth.
