"Huh, so Jonathan joined Artorias and… Oh?"

Maria was surprised by the super team that was formed with Jonathan in the lead and Artorias by his side, all the sore losers who were super strong joined him, Ching Xie, Fiera, Eduard, and Regulus.

"Woah, I can't believe I get to join your party, Jonathan! You're like a big inspiration for me and my swordsmanship!" said Regulus.

He was the guy that got beaten by Maria incredibly easily, who wielded some sort of holy sword similar to Artorias, which was called Caliburn instead.

"I recruited you mostly because my girlfriend beat you and I felt a bit bad… Also you've got a cool sword, and we could teach you one thing or two, right Artorias?" Jonathan wondered.

"Eh, yeah!" Artorias nodded. "Sure, if you really want me to help… I'll do. Nice to meet you, Regulus. Your Caliburn and my Excalibur aren't so different."

"Woah, you're the super strong guy that made Jonathan struggle a lot, right?" Regulus asked. "Holy shit, this is the best team ever! Three swordsmen! We are like the three musketeers!"

"Dammit, I knew he would say some cringe shit like this…" Fiera facepalmed.

After her defeat against Alma, she wanted to join her as well, but was rejected as Alma's party was full. However, Alma introduced her to Jonathan's party.

"But don't you feel it as well, Fiera? This swelling feeling within your heart?! This is adventure and…!"

"Shut up dude, you're weird," said Fiera. "If you keep talking to me I'm going to fucking kill you."

"E-Eek! What?!" Regulus was shocked.

"Please, Fiera, contain yourself," said Jonathan. "We are all a big team here, I know. But let's get along please. Regulus might be a bit peculiar but he's a good guy… I think."

"Hah, I wouldn't had joined this party if it wasn't because so many strong people are here already," said Ching Xie. "It'll be easy to complete this test anyways. So just calm down your fire, Fiera."

"Ching Xie…" Fiera suddenly smiled. "I want to fight you, you're strong…"

"Uh, later…" Ching Xie felt overwhelmed by Fiera as she approached him a bit too much.

The teachers nodded after seeing everything finally done.

"Alright everyone, it seems the parties are ready!" said Miranda. "First of all, we'll quickly register each party and members, and then…"

She explained a bunch of mumbo jumbo that Maria didn't really care for.

But in resume, the students were going to be registered within a list, so they wouldn't be easily forgotten or mixed together.

Once fully registered, they cannot change their minds and go to another team anymore for example.

Also they were all assigned with a special teacher that worked for Miranda, who were mostly wearing black clothes and covered most of their faces expect their eyes.

After everything was finally, finally done, all students walked outside of the academy and rode large buses that led to the port, which then led to large ships where they were transported to the islands.

"Woah, the sea's pretty here too!" said Nyx, looking around.

"It sure does!" said Maria. "And the smell's refreshing."

"I wonder if I could control the sea water…" Alma thought for a moment. "It would be too hard I guess…"

"Sounds crazy if you could," said Emily. "Maybe one day."

"I guess that's a possibility," Sofia nodded.

"What is even her original ability?" Martina asked. "Wasn't she a staff user with mostly support? But in that fight she used a lot of fighting abilities and even ice, you really surprised me Alma."

"Ah yeah," said Alma. "I've… well, gotten better at it? I'm still improving. But there's no limitations to what Dream Weapons can do, did you know Martina? Things such as Support, Defense, Armor, Weapon, and other types, they don't really apply, only your imagination and what you can do with what you've got."

"That's… I guess it's well said," nodded Martina. "Huh? Are we close to the island by now?"

"Looks like it!" Nyx said happily, pointing at the distance. "Mam- I mean, big sis! Look!"

"Yeah I saw, it isn't as small as I imagined," said Maria. "Isn't it rather big for an island?"

"Ah yes, this is where the Nightmare Field is located. And where your team has been assigned. There's another team that should arrive at the tail end of the Nightmare Field. Your task is simple, hunt down Nightmares in here, and bring me the Nightmare Cores. Base on how many you bring; your score will increase. For maximum score, you have to bring fifty."

"Fifty?! Isn't that too much?" asked Sofia. "Can we even carry that?"

"Well you've got bags, right?" asked the teacher. "Also the cores aren't so big, so it shouldn't be an issue to be honest."

"Hmmm…"

Sofia wasn't all that happy about that, but at the end she nodded and accepted what was told, the party quickly walked out of the boat and into the sand of the beach.

The gentle waves of the sea water almost made them ignore the strange view in front of them, there was no tropical jungle there, but a completely alien environment.

Strange purple, pink, and blue colored plants grew from the ground, the "grass" was pitch black and blade-like, there were large floating bubbles made of purple miasma thing, and the atmosphere, and even the skies twisted into various tinges of dark colors as they approached.

This was a Nightmare Field, a place where a Nightmare Realm had exploded, corroded, and merged with the ground and the sky.

It was a completely alien, and dangerous environment.

"This is the Nightmare Field, students," the teacher that came with them said. "It is a completely alien area from what you expected, right? It is formed from the corrosion of a Nightmare Realm into our plane of reality, merging with the ground and the sky. A hostile environment where normal people cannot survive. It spawns Nightmares regularly, and the only reason we've let them be is because it is inside an island and therefore, the Nightmares can't go anywhere else."
