Chapter 351: Landmark
"I appreciate money as much as the next person," Rael said plainly. "In that same sense, you like food as much as anyone else, right?"
The single marked man nodded, a bitter look on his face.
"Now don't get pissy on me," Rael said with a chuckle. "You all have been living life like a bunch of brainless idiots, waiting for rain just so you could quench your thirst. But that all stops here."
The man with four marks on his forehead stepped forward, his expression hardened.
"Rael Sutekh, what do you truly want from us?"
Money.
Of course, he didn't say that out loud. Instead...
"At the current moment, I want to stabilize Ogarak. After that, we shall see."
The man nodded slightly. "Then, do you know we're against outsiders being in these lands?"
"I am aware, but it doesn't matter anymore," Rael replied. "As much as I'd like to consider your feelings here, suck it up. All because of a few words spoken by Nyzzara, you burned down two villages. The only thing you'll get from me if you talk back is a slap across the face, understood?"
The man's brows twitched as he bowed slightly and walked back to the others.
"Now, on the topic of marks, that change is also present," Rael added. "But don't worry, I won't be completely removing them. Instead, I'll revamp them slightly."
Rael smiled. "I'll introduce a dungeon contribution ranking. So those who get the best items, or even the most, will get some extra bonuses."
And of course, Rael planned on doing it through a method he had realized might be possible.
If I open my Dimensional Shop, The Infinite Shelf, then they could possibly sell stuff to me... and since it's connected to the premium shop, they're going to be able to buy right away as well.
"Alright. Now that we got that out of the way, any questions?"
The woman with three marks stepped up.
"Are we the only ones who are going to fight? Y'know, clear dungeons and stuff?" she asked. "Also, how are you going to measure our contributions?"
"The reason I called you up here was because I thought you four showed promise beyond the sheep behind you," Rael replied flatly. "And as for contribution, you don't have to worry about that. I'll handle it."
I'm going to try setting up tiers in the Dimensional Shop. Every tier will give them more items to choose from... should be fair, Rael thought.
"You may create groups to raid dungeons with. And as for those who can't fight, you'll go to the agriculture side of things. Any objections?"
The barbarians looked on with mixed expressions, mostly confusion.
On the outside, it looked like he had popped up out of nowhere and blessed them with things that would make their lives much easier.
And while that was the case, their prejudice still couldn't see past the old rules.
Therefore...
"The rules are absolute. They won't change for the foreseeable future, and those who break those rules..." Rael trailed off, approaching Nyzzara and tapping her on the shoulder.
"Those who break the rules will have to deal with the new executioner. She will deliver punishment to you depending on the severity. But you should know that treason always leads to death, so I'd suggest weighing your choices the next time you pull stupid shit like this."
Nyzzara was slightly shocked at the announcement, but he ignored it.
Instead, Rael reached into the Premium Shop and bought the same items as last time.
• Soil Revitalizer Drone (Advanced): 250,000 Trell
• Bio-Cattle Pack (x100): 1,500,000 Trell
• Instant Field Enclosure: 600,000 Trell
"Alright, this one." Rael raised the Soil Revitalizer Drone. "You press this big red button, and it's going to revitalize the soil. Good?"
After getting a few nods from the barbarians, he continued.
"Now, this bio-cattle pack, you should only use it in the instant field enclosure. A few animals will pop out, and they're a bit different," Rael said. "From the descri—I mean... from what I remember, they only need water, and no other nutrition, which is perfect for you people."
After all, their land was barren.
"Anyways, that's about it. Get water from the village well. It should be fully purified and safe to drink," Rael added.
He narrowed his eyes. "For everyone's sake, follow the rules. I wish to make you people more stable, so if you don't cooperate, you'll just be ruining yourselves."
"Anyhow, I'm not your nanny. If you want to survive from here on, distribute yourselves based on your capabilities. Fighters fight, cooks cook, that type of deal," Rael said, turning around. "That's all from me. As for where you can sell your items..."
Rael opened his status and navigated toward his Dimensional Shop.
A few moments later, he saw something intriguing.
<Dimensional Shop: The Infinite Shelf - Landmark>
<Description: You may establish a shortcut to your Dimensional Shop that can be accessed by anybody. All rules imposed on the shortcut will be separate from the existing Dimensional Shop.>
That's the right amount of convenience... so how does it work... Rael wondered, and pressed on the landmark.
In the next instant, a blueprint appeared in his palm.
Tilting his head, he used the tiny pencil to sketch a house in the air. To his surprise, it actually worked. Bit by bit, the shop began forming in front of him.
However, he soon realized it resembled the platinum boutique back in Celestara quite heavily.
Still, he didn't mind. He continued drawing the shop into existence and finally plopped it down on an empty plot of land.
<Would you like to confirm this Landmark placement? Yes / No>
Rael pressed "Yes," and in the next moment, the shop he had drawn appeared in front of him.
On the window, there was a sign that read "The Infinite Shelf." Moreover, he got a few more pop-ups that he decided to play around with.
And after a few minutes, he was done.
