Chapter 591: Little Trick
Meanwhile...
Matthew stared at Charles Relish and his henchmen.
"You have an overwhelming force, Matthew Dietrich. How did you manage to bring us so far, without warning?" Charles frowned as he noticed that they were many kilometers away from their previous position.
But they didn't even feel the movement. What just happened?
Matthew shrugged.
"It's just a little trick."
"Little?"
"Yes. A little trick."
Charles frowned and sighed. "It doesn't matter if you want to talk or not. In the end, I'll force all those words out of your mouth." He squeezed his fist lightly, which brought some threads to his hand.
"Hahaha. Well, that's the attitude someone who bears that ability should have. I'd like to see what the bearer of these Threads has to do. For a long time, you've been fooling people by saying that those threads belong to your hat, but the reality is that you've managed to make a saint weapon out of the threads of your ability, which is amazing. So show me. In the ancient era, those threads were feared by all. Let me see if you are worthy enough to carry them."
'Does he know about my threads? And he knows them incredibly well... Is he really one of the Dietrichs?' Charles thought, frowning slightly. He didn't feel that Matthew was very old, much less that he had much power. How could he have lived so long, then?
'What a problematic person, but ...' He smiled.
"If they chose me, it means I am worthy."
His hand moved strangely, causing his threads to approach Matthew from behind. The threads were numerous and deadly, even to the Masters of a Vampire Clan.
It was not for nothing that they were the famous Killer Threads of the second most powerful Heir, who was vying for first place against Cecily. He is not just anybody.
He was the trigger that those present needed for the battle to begin.
Matthew didn't even pay special attention to what was coming from behind. He looked at each person first.
'I guess Becker understood that sending people with abilities was a bad idea, so he ended up sending powerful people who don't have abilities. I guess it's a safe bet.' He smiled.
'But there are also some Edevanes here. Besides, I feel the air is a little heavier than usual. Are there any of those hidden leaders around? Even in my current state, I can't sense them.'
While assessing his surroundings, he also allowed the attacks to come closer to him. But there was nothing he could do. Without a weapon, it was more complicated. He needed a different plan of attack right now.
'If I attack in masse and kill many, I run the risk of that guy leaving... That would be annoying. The 2nd heir has amazing abilities. With that thread ability, I'm sure I can defend myself against anyone...'
He stopped thinking when he realized the attacks were close enough to him. He quickly turned around and raised his hand towards the threads.
"Frozen Time."
What seemed like it would engulf him without any chance of defending himself soon became a frozen world that paused.
This ability no longer presented any problems for Matthew, but it was as effective as the first time. Moreover, as it 'stops' time with 'ice', it naturally allows him to see all attacks of this style, as they are frozen in the ice of his ability.
Although he didn't do it to freeze it, he simply wanted to test his rival's limits.
So, after stopping time, he moved quickly to another place and waited for his rivals to act. They were powerful; they could understand that they were under an ability, but many could not do anything.
'Strong enough for someone with 140,000 power not to break it... But it shouldn't withstand the ability,' he thought.
His thoughts were correct. Suddenly, his Frozen Time began to crack, and within seconds, it collapsed as the threads continued on their journey at Charles' insistence.
"Isn't he here?" Charles looked to his left and right until he found Matthew's figure.
"You're even greater than the rumors said."
Matthew shrugged. "Well, if you heard the real rumors about me, then you wouldn't say that."
Charles shrugged and sighed. "I was planning to cut you to pieces with a single attack, but it seems that with your barely 110,000 power, you can match me. So I'll have to up the ante a bit. I hope you can resist. Killing your prey too easily never feels good."
His body seemed to disappear at that moment, but he had launched himself ferociously towards the front. His speed was shocking; it seemed as if he was traveling through the threads scattered all over the place. In an instant, he arrived in front of Matthew and hit him in the chest.
Matt hit back, but just as their fists were about to connect, Charles' fist seemed to distort between strange threads that tried to cling to Matthew's fist and his head.
It was a sudden and unexpected attack, which Matthew took head-on.
Suddenly, those terrifying threads clung to one hand and tore it apart, but instead of blood, a strange cold 'vapor' emerged from it. The ice shattered and was forced into smaller particles that attacked Charles's figure ferociously.
Charles immediately jumped toward one of his threads, so Matthew's surprise attack missed him. Still, suddenly, Charles felt a fist sink into his shoulder, and his body was thrown to the ground, falling shortly afterward with a terrible explosion.
Even so, Matthew couldn't move quickly because several threads were attached to his body.
'He's good at using the skill,' Matthew thought.
But when he thought about destroying it, he was forced to take one hand to his chest and turn to the side, as he was attacked by one of his enemies.
"You dare to hit our young master!? You really want death!" growled an old bearded man as he hit him in the chest.
The threads attached to his body tore him in several places, and he was thrown onto other threads scattered around the place, which Charles controlled from a distance. In addition, three people were waiting to hit him.
'Interesting. They combine very well.' Matthew smiled and turned around in the air. He immediately cast frozen time, and although it collapsed shortly afterward due to attacks coming from different places, it was enough for him to reach the other side of the threads.
As he did so, he fiercely waved his right hand up and down, and a huge wall of ice formed like an impregnable fortress, which was fiercely struck by all those who sought to kill him.
The wall still resisted despite the numerous attacks.
Matthew quickly turned around in his position and launched a ferocious icy attack that seemed to grow like a mountain from the ground towards the four who were coming from behind and towards Charles Relish himself.
*BOOOOM*
A powerful explosion resonated as numerous bodies were thrown in one direction at high speed.
Then Matthew disappeared and reappeared above those who, a moment ago, had been behind him.
"Becker, Becker. Since you like to snoop around among your subordinates, let me send you a little gift." Matthew smiled and struck all three bodies simultaneously with a strange and curious ability, the Illusionary Claw.
Could an illusion be transmitted from so far away? Only Matthew knew the answer, and that's why he smiled broadly.
