Progenitor of the Senju and Uzumaki

Chapter 4: Awakening to the new reality

The day soon arrived with plans and darkness having hidden all the nights dark machinations. Dan was to awake today.

The Hokage was already informed and was in the ward hidden in the corner thinking strategies for how to best manipulate the child before him to be the pillar of Konaha.

Konaha has just lost it's Hokage and it's human pillar sacrifices. The great Nations are bound to take advantage especially Kumogakure. The late Hokage had the power to fight both the kage and human pillar sacrifice to a stand still. While in Iwagakure he was a strong detterance in the matters of conflict.Sunagakure and Konaha are allies the mist is suffering internal conflicts.

The old man Sarutobi Hiryuzen back to the sit of power was making plans to ensure he has another chess piece to replace Minato. Though the plans were long term in a decade or so he will have a strong ninja that will carry the village to the future. He knew even the Higher ups clan's in the village could not produce figures at the level of the first Hokage and Uchiha Madara. His hopes rested with this boy who carries the other half of the nine Tails fox spirit.

He was deep in thought when an Ambulance arrived and reported Dan status. The old Hokage did not waste time and hurried to hospital

P.O.V change

Morning broke, casting a warm glow over the hospital room. Dan's eyes, a light brown hue reminiscent of his rugged hair, gradually opened. His appearance, strikingly similar to Aizen Sousuke, seemed almost otherworldly in the soft light.

As he stirred, Dan's AI notified him of the missing blood sample. His honed senses sprang into action, tracing the nanobots in his blood. However, he also detected subtle observers watching from the shadows. Two observers quickly departed, their covert movements a testament to their training.

A man in his fifties entered, commanding attention. His distinctive hat bore the word "Fire," and his white robes shimmered in the morning light. Positioning himself beside Dan's bed, the old man crafted a warm smile.

"Dan, born to civilian parents who tragically died during the Nine-Tailed Fox incident..." The old man's words trailed off, leaving Dan wondering what he implied.

The old man's gentle tone and benevolent demeanor seemed at odds with the weight of his words. Dan's tension grew.

The old village leader's eyes narrowed. "As a civilian, you have no legacy to uphold. Yet, you possess our most critical war asset. As a military-oriented society, we cannot afford to waste this asset. You are conscripted to serve as a Ninja, effective immediately."

Dan's eyes widened, his voice trembling. "I understand, Lord Third. I must protect the village, just like Lord Fourth promised. He entrusted me to Kushina-sama and Naruto, and them to me."

The old man's eyes gleamed, his gaze piercing. "Kushina-sama and Naruto are safe, protected by our allies. As for their location, that information is need-to-know."

Dan's expression turned thoughtful. "I request to see Kushina-sama once a week, Lord Third. Many have lost loved ones. You must provide guidance and support, lest their pain turns to hatred."

Dan's voice took on a prophetic tone. "Tell the villagers Lord Fourth defeated the Nine-Tails, but it will return in ten years. We must prepare and unite against this threat."

The old man analyzed Dan's words, recognizing the subtle strategy. By revealing the truth, Dan united the village against a common enemy, redirecting emotions towards a shared goal.

The old man nodded, his eyes gleaming with respect. "I see, Dan. You are clever. I will spread the word about the Nine-Tails' defeat."

Dan nodded, his expression serious. "I understand, Lord Third. I accept these responsibilities and will protect the village and Naruto."

The old man clapped his hands, and a young Ninja appeared. "Kiba, escort Dan to the Ninja Academy. Ensure he is settled. He will undergo training, and I want you to keep an eye on him."

Kiba nodded, his eyes gleaming. "Yes, Lord Third! I'll take care of him!"

The academy accommodations exceeded Dan's expectations. His four-room apartment, located on the top floor, boasted a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and single bedroom. The balcony offered a panoramic view of the village, although Dan found it somewhat lacking. He made a mental note to adorn the balcony with potted plants to enhance the aesthetic.

With his living situation settled, Dan turned his attention to academic pursuits. He asked the Anbu escorting him about the library and which books he could access. The Anbu led him to the library, showcasing the resources available to first-year students. Dan's eyes scanned the shelves, and he selected a history book to better understand this world.

The Anbu raised an eyebrow as Dan also collected history books from each major village. What happened next left the Anbu stunned. Dan began flipping through the pages with incredible speed, as if playing a prank. The Anbu wondered if he was genuinely reading or merely browsing.

Thirty minutes passed, and Dan finished his rapid perusal of the books. He felt a pang of hunger and asked the Anbu about his stipend. The Anbu, unsure of the answer, instructed Dan to wait at the library while he inquired with the Hokage.

At the Hokage's office, Lord Third was deeply engrossed in paperwork, striving to stabilize the village's situation. The Anbu arrived, kneeling before the Hokage, and began to recount the events following Dan's departure from the hospital. He described the library scene and the books Dan had read.

The Hokage's eyes sparkled with intrigue as he listened to the Anbu's report. As a Ninja professor, he possessed extensive knowledge of the ninja world. He needed to assess Dan's understanding of the material and gauge his potential.

The Hokage instructed the Anbu to summon Dan to his office to receive his allowance. He pondered the implications of Dan's incredible reading speed and comprehension. If Dan could pass his assessment, Konoha might have a genius on their hands, rivaling the legendary Minato.

It did take long for Dan to arrive at the Hokage office.

As Dan arrived, the Hokage gestured for him to take a seat. "Dan, I've been informed that you've taken an interest in the history of our world. I must say, I'm impressed. But tell me, what do you know about the founding of the four great villages?"

Dan's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as he began to recount the history of the villages. "The four great villages - Konohagakure, Sunagakure, Kirigakure, and Iwagakure - were founded by the legendary Sage of six paths.

The Hokage nodded, his expression unreadable. "Go on."

Dan continued, "The Sage of the Six Paths divided the world into five great nations, each with its own unique culture and ninja traditions. The four great villages were established as the centers of ninja power and learning, with the goal of maintaining balance and harmony among the nations."

The Hokage's eyes narrowed slightly. "What about the conflicts between the villages? How did they arise?"

Dan's expression turned thoughtful. "The conflicts between the villages arose from a combination of factors, including competition for resources, ideological differences, and historical grievances. The villages developed distinct cultures and values, which sometimes led to misunderstandings and clashes."

The Hokage leaned forward, his voice taking on a slightly sharper tone. "And what about the role of the Tailed Beasts in the history of the villages? How did they impact the balance of power?"

Dan's eyes locked onto the Hokage's, his gaze steady. "The Tailed Beasts, also known as the Bijuu, were powerful creatures created by the Sage of the Six Paths. They were sealed into human hosts, known as Jinchuriki, and became a key factor in the balance of power among the villages. The villages with Jinchuriki possessed significant military advantages, leading to a complex web of alliances and rivalries."

The Hokage's expression remained inscrutable, but a hint of surprise flickered in his eyes. He had not expected Dan to demonstrate such a deep understanding of the history of the four great villages. The test was far from over, but Dan had already shown promising signs.

The Hokage gave Dan his stipend thoroughly impressed by the insight the young man had in just a day of studying if this fast learning ability also translated into combat ability then a shinobi god would be born in the future .

The Hokage handed Dan his stipend, his eyes shining with genuine admiration. "Dan, you've demonstrated an extraordinary capacity for learning. If this ability translates to combat, we may be witnessing the birth of a shinobi legend."

Dan's thoughts, however, were focused on more practical concerns. His stipend, though generous, wouldn't last long if he didn't manage it wisely. Eating out would deplete his funds rapidly, so he decided to treat himself to a bowl of ramen, a staple of any self-respecting dimensional traveler.

There was only one place to go: Ichiraku's Ramen. The stall owner, Teuchi, greeted Dan with infectious enthusiasm, taking his order and engaging in small talk. Dan learned that Teuchi had a daughter, Ayame, who was around his age and attended kindergarten. As a civilian, Ayame's future was uncertain, but Teuchi hoped she would inherit the ramen stall and continue the family legacy.

As Dan savored his steaming bowl of ramen, he gained valuable insight into the local economy. He discovered that the exchange rate between villages was complex, and Konoha's post-war economy was still recovering. His stipend, though sufficient for daily essentials like hygiene products and groceries, was limited when it came to protein sources.

Dan realized that survival skills were crucial in this new world. He made a mental note to learn fishing, hunting, and foraging techniques to supplement his diet. Mushrooms, he discovered, were an excellent source of protein, and he vowed to explore the surrounding forests to find them.

As he finished his meal and bid farewell to Teuchi, Dan felt a sense of determination wash over him. He would thrive in this new world, mastering the skills necessary to survive and protect those he cared about. The stipend may have been limited, but Dan's potential was boundless.

In the shadows, dark forces stirred, their malevolent presence a stark contrast to Dan's innocent endeavors. Within the depths of Konoha, a clandestine organization, fueled by ambition and a twisted sense of patriotism, concocted sinister plans.

Their objective: the systematic eradication of specific clans, deemed threats to Konoha's dominance. The orchestrators of this darkness believed that by eliminating these clans, they could ensure Konoha's supremacy, no matter the cost.

A lone figure, shrouded in darkness, sat behind a desk, surrounded by files and schematics. His eyes gleamed with an unsettling intensity as he contemplated the newest addition to Konoha's roster: Dan, the human pillar and unwitting sacrifice.

The figure's thoughts swirled with Machiavellian intrigue. He knew that his old acquaintance, the Third Hokage, would never permit him to exploit the Fourth Hokage's legacy. However, Dan presented a tantalizing opportunity – a chance to subvert the young man's potential and mold him into a powerful tool, loyal only to Konoha.

A calculating smile spread across the figure's face as he contemplated the possibilities. It was merely a matter of time and approach, carefully manipulating Dan to serve as Konoha's roots, strengthening the village's foundations and ensuring its continued dominance.

The darkness seemed to coalesce around the figure, as if feeding off his malevolent intentions. Konoha's shadows had always hidden secrets, but with Dan's arrival, a new, sinister game had begun.
