Primordial Soul's Rebirth

CHAPTER 392 - Kamish Vladimir

In a place in the dragon empire—a place where most dangerous criminals, or some people who are disliked by the emperor, were sent.

This place has always been a hellhole, filled with all sorts of violence. A place with no law, if one must say, but that was only until a real dragon—not the criminal ones, but the noble ones—were to enter that area.

This place was used as a hunting ground for many young dragons. Academies from all over the Dragon Empire came there to conduct tests and other stuff, and that area was also used by some senior dragons to train their skills.

Everyone in here was a criminal who deserved death, after all, so it didn't matter what one did with them.

Today, one such day when the tests of academic students were going on, the same hunt had begun.

The young dragons—mixed, pure, and royal blood—were here, hunting the criminals in groups.

Here, criminals were rated by ranks, the highest being epic ranked; the limit that students could face as the highest a student—a genius—could go was epic ranked by the time they ended their academy.

It was not that there were no higher-ranking criminals; there were many of them, deeper in the area.

They were deep enough for the students to be never able to reach there, as none of them had the courage to go deeper than they were permitted, but what if one were forced to go deeper?

"T-This should be enough, right...?"

In an area where no students from any academy were allowed to step in, area number 1, which was the deepest part of this criminal binding area, a boy could be seen walking, trembling at the smallest sound he heard; even his own footsteps scared him.

That guy was looking around with a device, glowing with an illusionary image of some students sitting on a sofa, as if enjoying the show.

It was a live protection device that showed everything to the other side of the device, making it convenient for people to look at things from far away if they wanted to.

That was what those guys were doing: making this poor guy with no more than SS-ranked power record everything in the most dangerous area of this land.

They wanted to see the view of this without getting blamed for breaking the rules and going deeper than area number 3.

"No, you fucker, go deeper!"

One of the guys in the holographic image roared, his face distorting with anger.

Those guys had sent many guys like this one before, but none of them had ever survived this far—they couldn't even make it out of Area 2 safely.

This was the first guy who was lucky enough to be able to get this far, and they didn't know when a guy would ever get this chance, so they wanted to exploit it as much as they could.

They were a group of rich young masters sitting in their house, enjoying the show while recording it as well.

They had paid the guy to do this for them, so the guy had to listen to them.

"A-As you wish..."

The guy's black eyes quivered as he looked around nervously, nodding his head at their words, walking ahead vigilantly.

His name was Kamish Vladimir—a low-ranked mixed breed, one of the people from the group who were treated like slaves in the Dragon Empire.

The guy took on this task because he was in urgent need of money as his mother's condition, which had been bad for a while, seemed to be worsening lately.

'I can do this! I just need to go a bit deeper and then escape with the talisman.'

Kamish clenched his fist in determination, stepping forward as he kept reminding himself about his mother's situation whenever he felt like he should quit, and soon...

"What are you stopping for?! Go inside if you want the money."

The guys on the other side of the call grew excited upon looking at the cave in front of Kamish, urging him to rush in, but the young Vladimir stood frozen in his spot.

'These pieces of sh*ts!'

He gritted his teeth as he heard their continuous demand to step into the cave.

They weren't here, so they didn't know anything about how it felt here—it was freezing even though the sun was up.

The cave was giving him creepy vibes.

"This Mf! What are you standing there for?! Do you not care about your mother anymore?!"

One of the guys, who finally couldn't take the wait, snapped, bringing Kamish's mother into the conversation.

Unlike what Kamish thought, it wasn't that they couldn't feel it; just looking at the cave gave them chills, but they wanted to look into it no matter what.

They felt like they were close to discovering something—something no one in the empire knew about.

They didn't care about anything else. Even if someone died, it would be Kamish, not them. They were safe from all this, sitting in a house together, enjoying the show.

'Grrrr!'

The young Vladimir, knowing well about his situation just gritted his teeth, groaning in fear, pain, and frustration.

He knew that these guys were the ones in control and that a word from these guys was enough to seal the fate of his mother, whom he was desperately trying to save.

*Step**Step*...

That was why, no matter what he felt or what the surroundings seemed like, he stepped inside the cave.

"Yes! That's it!"

"Yeah! Just do as we say, and your mother will be fine!"

"You will see her fine and walking by the time you arrive!"

The three guys on the other side of the call jumped out of their seats, moving closer to the screen, looking closely at everything, not wanting to miss a single thing.

They kept saying things like bringing the best doctor for Kamish's mother, helping her get an urgent treatment, starting the treatment in just a while, and many other things like that, wanting to encourage the guy.

And it was working as Kamish's speed increased as he hurried deeper into the cave.

*Clatter*

But just then, he heard a clatter from ahead, causing his body to tense.

"Go, go! The better—!"

"You can go faster—!"

The guys on the other side of the call paused as well.

The atmosphere, which seemed to be getting better for a while, suddenly turned gloomy.

Kamish's head turned to look behind him, only to find that he had walked so far away from the exit that he couldn't even see it now.

Reality started to sink slowly.

He was in the most dangerous area of this region, walking into a cave where something or someone unknown could be hidden, waiting for someone to enter for a long time.

*Drip**Drop*

'Wha!!'

Kamish, who felt like he was standing on a spider web, waiting for the spider to come closer to him without even moving from his spot, jumped back, his body trembling, and stumbled backward, falling to the ground close to the wall as he looked for the source of the sound.

'Haaa…'

It was then that he noticed a spot leaking water, dropping it in a small pond-like thingy made on the ground.

"Almost scared me..."

Kamish muttered, his heart hammering against his ribs. He almost had a heart attack.

*Clatter*

It was then that something around his hand clattered, causing his eyes to turn toward it, but...

"A-AH-AHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

He screamed in horror as he crawled away from the skeleton that was hanging on the wall with both of its hands bound by some sort of shining chain.

"AHHHHHH! WHAT THE HELL!"

"W-What the fuck! Don't change the projector's view suddenly like that!"

"Yeah! For fucks sake, I almost died!"

The guys on the other side of the call had also jumped back, away from the screen, as they saw the skeleton with rotting skin still hanging on it, giving it an even creepier look.

"W-Wait..."

It was then that thought flashed in Kamish's head, and his head creaked, slowing turning to look around.

'...ah, shit...'

This was all he could say, as there were many more bones like that; some looked way older, and some looked quite new with their bodies just starting to rot.

"W-What kind of place is this...?"

He thought out loud, causing the guys on the other side of the call to focus on the surroundings as well, but it was just then...

*Cough**Cough*

Kamish heard someone coughing a distance away, causing his body to tense.

'T-There's someone alive here as well?'

He thought, not really eager to check it out, only wanting to walk out as fast as he could, but...

"F-Follow that voice!"

"Y-Yeah! This has to be something big! I-I want to know more about this!"

"Fucking move!"

The other three didn't seem to be sharing his thoughts. Their voices, even though they sounded a bit frightened, the one emotion that was most apparent was excitement.

Continue your adventure with empire

They wanted to know more, and Kamish didn't have a choice but to do what they wanted.
