Chapter 12: Why the wating? "PC" Problems.
As I've mentioned somewhere, I have written the complete 1st volume for this fic (20 chapters). All that is left is the editing bit. However, the charger port on my Mac kind of melted and guess which one was the only fic not yet on my cloud drive? Yep, this one. But fret not. I will get the files back, and as soon as I do, I'll upload them. Probably this weekend.
I also have another (many actually) "kind of" Twilight AU.
Starts around 4,000 BC… and is a long run. I've written half of book two already. It's on my phone, so… I'm not sure if I should post it while waiting to get this one back. What do you guys think? Do you want a preview?
Here it is, just a taste:
Odin had faced countless enemies in his time, endured battles that would break lesser men, and triumphed in the face of death more times than he could count. But this… this was unlike anything he had ever encountered. The creature's speed was blinding, its movements a blur of predatory intent. It seemed to outrun the very darkness surrounding it, its marble-like flesh shimmering with every motion.
Instinct roared to life, an animalistic scream in Odin's mind, shaking him free from exhaustion and the haze of starvation. His body responded with the precision of years spent battling men, beasts, and the unforgiving elements, but as the creature lunged, he realized that survival itself hung on a knife's edge. Against this being, so far removed from the natural world, would his strength and training be enough?
