"If I heard correctly, before it left, it told me to get stronger quickly?"

Satoshi was still puzzled by Mew's actions, but he clearly remembered the last thing it said. Using the Evergreen Force's translation ability, he understood Mew's words as an encouragement to strengthen himself as quickly as possible.

"Why does it feel like it knows me? When it first saw me, its reaction was almost like it had been 'waiting for me.'"

Satoshi frowned, recalling the brief encounter with Mew. Not long after they met, Team Rocket discovered him, forcing him into immediate action. This left him no time to contemplate Mew's peculiar behavior.

Now that the battle was over and Mew had disappeared, the situation seemed strange. The long-term hidden quest also felt tailored specifically for him, as it seemed impossible for anyone else to trigger it under normal circumstances.

"…Forget it. Overthinking won't help. At least it's not a bad thing. If Mew wants me to get stronger quickly, there must be a reason. I'll ask it the next time we meet."

Realizing he couldn't make sense of it now, Satoshi decided to stop dwelling on the matter. After all, he hadn't lost anything—instead, he'd gained a lot from the encounter.

"Time to treat Charmeleon and Frogadier, clean up the battlefield, and leave here quickly."

Satoshi treated his Pokémon first, ensuring their well-being, and then cleaned up the area. The sight of Team Rocket's defeated state wasn't exactly pleasant, and leaving it as is might scare others who happened to pass by.

The decision to leave was a precaution. After all, if Team Rocket failed to contact their team, they would likely send reinforcements to investigate.

"Besides, the Pokémon here are almost all caught. With Charmeleon and Frogadier at their current levels, it's probably time to move on to a better area for training."

After finishing his cleanup, Satoshi set his sights on Pewter City. Charmeleon and Frogadier were now above level 20, far surpassing the wild Pokémon in the Evergreen Forest, which ranged from level 12 to 18. The forest was no longer a challenge for them.

Pewter City: Pokémon Center, Trainer-Only Guest Room

"It took an hour, but I finally made it to Pewter City."

Satoshi collapsed onto the bed, stretching comfortably and letting out a contented sigh.

In the corner of the room, Charmeleon and Frogadier were enjoying the best Pokémon food Satoshi could buy with his Alliance Coins, eating with visible relish.

"Alright, let's take stock of the harvest first, rest a bit, and then head for the gym challenge."

Satoshi stretched out a hand to open his Trainer panel while lying on the bed, relaxed and at ease.

"The numbers match up. No Ekans, Zubat, or Koffing in Evergreen Forest this time. And with Charmander and Froakie having evolved, their earlier forms are gone too. Everything checks out."

Satisfied with his Pokémon count and his remaining coins—despite recently spending a fortune on premium Pokémon food—Satoshi moved on to his item inventory.

New items were marked with a special icon:

Gold Bottle Cap ×2

TM: Thunder Punch

"These are some solid items. Let's put them to use right away. Charmeleon can learn Thunder Punch, which will be perfect for surprising water-type Pokémon in future battles."

Satoshi pulled out the TM: Thunder Punch and tossed it toward Charmeleon, who was still eating.

"Ding! Charmeleon has learned Thunder Punch!"

"Now, let's check out the Gold Bottle Caps. I've never managed to get my hands on these in my previous life. Let's see what they do."

Gold Bottle Cap:

For Pokémon with potential below Champion level, guarantees an increase in potential.

For Pokémon with Champion-level potential, provides a chance to upgrade to Leader-level potential.

"Unbelievable! It guarantees a breakthrough below Champion level? This is amazing. Let's use them immediately!"

Excitement surged through Satoshi as he jumped off the bed and approached Charmeleon and Frogadier, ready to use the items.

"Ding! Congratulations! Charmeleon's potential has been upgraded to Champion level!"

"Ding! Congratulations! Frogadier's potential has been upgraded to Champion level!"

"On the first day of the server, and I already have two Pokémon with Champion potential! And both of them are starters! This is incredible!"

Satoshi, who had struggled for ages to cultivate a single Champion-level Pokémon in his previous life, now had two in his hands. The sheer difference in his current progress was exhilarating.

"Alright, let's check the rankings. This is going to be interesting."

With a grin, Satoshi opened the leaderboard to see how he ranked compared to other Trainers.
