Jacob and Amelia briefly caught each other's gaze in the crowd before continuing on their separate ways.

Amelia couldn't help but reminisce about that night several months ago when Jacob had accompanied her to sell barbecue. Compared to Jacob's current status as the center of attention, she preferred how he was back then. That night, they had ventured out together like true friends, and Jacob had seemed more down-to-earth.

It was from that evening onward that her life had changed for the better.

...

Jacob didn't experience any particular emotions. He thought Amelia seemed to have grown more beautiful, though he wondered if it was merely his imagination playing tricks on him since they hadn't seen each other in quite some time.

They both continued toward the forbidden area, and Jacob released his Grovyle. For this return trip to Starlight City, he had brought only his Grovyle. His other four Pokémon had been temporarily entrusted to Nina for care and training in the Dragon Secret Realm.

Although Jacob worried about his other Pokémon's safety, he believed they would be more secure in the Dragon Realm than with him. Moreover, Jacob trusted Nina completely. How could he not trust a woman who disregarded her own health just to help him hatch eggs?

The forbidden area was precisely the territory of the Sceptile clan and the Venusaur clan. Walking on the lush green grass of this familiar place, Jacob felt momentarily dazed. His thoughts drifted to Dante. It seemed that even now, this guy had not been captured and remained at large.

"The grass energy here is indeed exceptionally rich," remarked his uncle Aris as he released an Appletun. The abundant grass energy in the forbidden area greatly benefited the Appletun. As they strolled through the area, noting Appletun's excitement, Aris commented, "The energy in this newly discovered Secret Realm is truly remarkable. Generally, this condition will last for about a year before returning to the level of a normal Secret Realm. Did you capture your Grovyle here?"

"Yeah," Jacob nodded, then briefly recounted how he had tamed the Grovyle. "It was just a coincidence."

As they traversed the jungle, gradually approaching the Sceptile clan's territory, the environment became increasingly familiar. The towering trees were now recognizable landmarks, and even Jacob's usually calm Grovyle had grown excited.

"Gro-vyle!"

With a cry, another Grovyle leaped down from a tree, positioning itself in front of Jacob and his Grovyle, regarding them cautiously.

Compared to Jacob's Grovyle, the one opposite appeared somewhat petite, almost like a pocket version.

"Grovyle."

Jacob's Grovyle seemed to recognize the Grovyle before them. It stepped forward, and the two Pokémon began to communicate in a way that Jacob and his uncle couldn't comprehend.

This reinforced Jacob's determination to capture a Psychic-type Pokémon as soon as possible to facilitate communication. He recalled that Latios and Latias possessed telepathic abilities that would be useful.

"What are they discussing?" Jacob couldn't help but ask.

Aris glanced at Jacob and replied, "I'm not a Pokémon. How would I know?"

...

After the two Pokémon conversed for a while, the petite Grovyle finally confirmed their identities and led Jacob's Grovyle deeper into the jungle.

"Sceptile!"

In the dense jungle, within the Sceptile clan's territory, two Sceptile rose vigilantly upon spotting Jacob, Aris, and the Grovyle.

The lead Sceptile examined Jacob and felt a sense of familiarity. Then it remembered that Jacob was indeed the human from a few months ago.

"Sceptile, I've returned to visit you with the Grovyle," Jacob said.

The Sceptile listened to Jacob's words and observed the impressive Grovyle. There was a hint of disbelief in its eyes. The Treecko had actually grown to this level in just over three months.

"Grovyle."

Jacob's Grovyle approached the Sceptile and began communicating. Jacob noticed that compared to his last visit, the number of Treecko and Grovyle around the Sceptile had decreased by about half. They were probably taken by people from the Association, while the two adult Sceptile remained to ensure reproduction.

The Sceptile was delighted to see the Grovyle return. The other Grovyle and Treecko in the tribe gathered around, chattering incessantly. Jacob smiled as he watched their reunion.

"Sceptile." After some time, the Sceptile approached Jacob, made a crisp call, pointed at the Grovyle, looked at Jacob, and nodded with gratitude in its eyes.

What did that mean?

Jacob couldn't decipher it either. Was the Sceptile thanking him?

Jacob sighed in frustration, thinking how convenient it would be if Team Rocket's Meowth were here to translate.

...

"Uncle, I'll be training Grovyle here. Feel free to explore on your own for a while."

"Alright, I'll look around the area."

After Grovyle finished reuniting with its family, Jacob took it to train in the Secret Realm. The rich grass energy surrounding them made Grovyle very comfortable.

Compared to the Dragon Secret Realm, this environment was clearly more suitable for Grovyle. It was originally a pure Grass-type Pokémon, only gaining Dragon-type attributes upon Mega Evolution. After three months of training in the Dragon Secret Realm, Grovyle already possessed sufficient Dragon-type energy; what it lacked now was Grass-type energy.

"Sceptile!"

Just as Jacob was concentrating on training with Grovyle, the Sceptile suddenly approached and motioned for Grovyle to watch.

The sharp blade on Sceptile's wrist glowed green as grass-type energy burst forth. The Sceptile then focused on a rock on the ground and swung hard, instantly slicing the rock into pieces!

Leaf Blade!

"Sceptile! Sceptile!"

The Sceptile continued communicating with Grovyle, apparently teaching it the secrets of the Leaf Blade move. After several minutes of instruction, Grovyle began to attempt the technique.

Green light emanated from Grovyle's wrist as the grass energy condensed into a green, sickle-shaped blade.

"Grovyle!"

Full of determination, Grovyle swung its Leaf Blade at the stones on the ground, but the results weren't impressive. Unlike Sceptile, it couldn't slice through the rocks. Clearly, Grovyle wasn't yet proficient in using Leaf Blade for the first time.

"Sceptile!"

The Sceptile shook its head and continued instructing Grovyle. While explaining, it raised its right hand, gathering grass-type energy on its wrist to form a sharp energy blade.

It taught Grovyle wholeheartedly, breaking down the Leaf Blade technique step by step, starting with forming a grass-type energy blade!

Jacob observed this scene silently from the sidelines, not wanting to interrupt the communication between parent and child.
