"Good! First, let's try attacking with your tail! Concentrate all your power in your tail and swing it forcefully!"

Leaving aside other considerations, Pokémon all possess a natural potential. As long as they can learn a move, if you don't make Charizard learn Hydro Pump, their innate talent and potential can naturally help them master that move. For now, let's not consider accuracy or power. Just improving the tail's power is enough.

"Pika!" Listening to Ash's words, Pikachu began to concentrate all its power into its tail according to Ash's tips. The lightning-shaped tail instantly stiffened and trembled slightly. It was clear that it was using a lot of power, which was why its tail was trembling.

"Now, maintain that state. Aim for that tree, and unleash all your concentrated power!" Ash pointed to a tree on the side as a target. With a command, Pikachu nodded.

"Pi~~~ka!!!" Pikachu ran forward, then leaped high, performing a somersault in the air, directly swinging its tail down towards the tree in front of it. It gathered power in one breath and released it all at once, but as its body descended and its tail hit the tree trunk, the power seemed to vanish completely.

The tail's hardness still couldn't compare to the sturdy tree trunk. When the tail made contact, the force was negated. The lightning-shaped tail was flattened like a spring, and then its entire body was bounced back.

"Pikachu!" Seeing this, Ash quickly ran forward and caught the falling Pikachu.

"Are you okay?"

"Pikachu!!" Pikachu responded with a hint of disappointment. It wasn't injured by this; it was just a little disheartened by the failure of a common sense action.

"It's good you're alright. Don't worry. It's always like this at first. Let's try again!" Ash said with a smile to comfort it, then gently placed Pikachu back on the ground.

"Pika!!" Pikachu also cheered up and prepared to try again.

"Alright, get ready! Don't worry, I'll catch you no matter how many times you try." After getting ready again, Ash spoke seriously to ensure Pikachu had no worries.

"Pi~~ka!!!" Concentrating all its power into its tail once more, it tried again, using Iron Tail to attack. But this time wasn't much better; it was almost the same as before. When the tail hit the tree trunk, the forces still canceled each other out. After all, it was just the beginning. The tail itself wasn't as flexible as hands and feet, and it couldn't yet unleash the hardness of Iron Tail.

Ash caught the falling Pikachu again, then tried again, repeatedly trying. Unconsciously, over an hour passed, and people could vaguely be seen on the road.

It was unknown how many times it had tried, but Iron Tail still hadn't appeared. However, it was already clearly noticeable that Pikachu's tail power had significantly increased. More precisely, its control over its power had improved.

Initially, when it hit the tree trunk, it would often bounce back. Later, it was the same, after all, power is reciprocal unless your power is much stronger. But when it touched the tree trunk, a clear sound could be heard. In the end, clear marks, as if cut by a blade, were visible on the tree bark.

Although it still looked rough and unrefined, it was already a great improvement. Making such progress in just one morning was satisfying.

"It's getting late. Let's stop here for today! It's time to go back. Misty should be awake too." Ash glanced at the time, then said to the panting Pikachu.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu also nodded, then jumped onto Ash's shoulder.

"Huh??" As they were about to leave, Ash suddenly felt something unusual, as if something was watching them. He instinctively looked around.

"Pikachu???" Pikachu, seeing Ash's reaction, instinctively tilted its head as if asking a question.

"Nothing, I must have been mistaken. Let's go!" Hearing Pikachu's voice, and looking around to find only some passersby with nothing unusual, Ash slightly shook his head.

He left the park with Pikachu and returned to the Pokémon Center. By this time, the Pokémon Center had also started to get crowded. Many people were still talking about what happened last night. At this moment, there were still some police officers outside. It seemed no one had been caught. Team Rocket was indeed the luckiest villain.

Entering the Pokémon Center, when he returned to his room, he met Misty. Misty had already washed up and was waiting for Ash to return. After exchanging greetings, Ash went back to his room, took a shower, and changed his clothes.

He handed Pikachu and Magikarp to Nurse Joy to restore their spirits and feed them. Then he met up with Misty in the restaurant. The two ate breakfast together, and Misty seemed a little distracted.

Unconsciously finishing breakfast, Ash went to the front desk to find Nurse Joy.

"Good! Pikachu and Magikarp are both in great condition now." Nurse Joy placed Pikachu's and Magikarp's Poké Balls on the table.

"Thank you, Nurse Joy!" Ash reached out, placing the Poké Balls on his waist. Pikachu also jumped onto Ash's shoulder.

"You're welcome. I should be thanking you." Nurse Joy responded gently after hearing Ash's words. It was thanks to Ash that Team Rocket was driven away last night. If anyone should thank anyone, it should be her thanking him.

"It's nothing, just a small favor. Thank you for taking care of them. We'll take our leave now." Ash responded, then left with Misty, exiting the Pokémon Center.

"Misty, what's wrong? You've been acting strange since earlier." As they walked out, Ash looked at Misty behind him, who hadn't spoken and looked distraught. Ash couldn't help but ask.

"Ah!" Misty was startled upon hearing him. He hadn't expected Ash to notice.

"Um... Ash, what are your plans next?"

"Me? If I want to challenge the Indigo Plateau Conference, I need to collect enough badges. The closest place from here is Pewter City. I plan to challenge the Pewter City Gym!" Ash also stated his next goal.

"Is that so? Then... can I go with Ash?" Misty lowered her head and hesitated for a long time after hearing him, then seemed to pluck up courage and looked up to ask.
