Pokemon: I Raised Three Dumb Birds and..

Chapter 112: Chapter 112

Ding—

Gengar's battle experience increased.

Host defeated Koga. Koga is the new Elite Four member of the Pokémon Regional League, possessing six initial Elite Four-level Pokémon. Calculating points...

Ding—

Congratulations to the host for obtaining 600,000 points.

Congratulations to the host for obtaining one Lucky Draw Wheel spin.

---

When Koga's last Tentacruel was poisoned and defeated by Gengar, the system notification immediately rang in Leaf's mind.

Only 600,000 points?

Leaf frowned slightly. When Koga summoned his first Pokémon, Leaf had already judged that this newly appointed Elite Four member—clearly lacking in spirit—was far inferior to the veteran members like Lorelei and Bruno.

He had expected at least a million points. Getting only 600,000 suggested he had underestimated the gap between Koga and Bruno.

Still, obtaining a Lucky Draw Wheel spin wasn't bad.

---

"Lost... Master Koga actually lost..."

The Indigo League Pokémon trainers who had been spectating stood in stunned silence, as if waking from a bad dream.

> "How could this be? Impossible!"

"He... he got swept six to zero!"

"That was just a Gengar! If you didn't know better, you'd think it was a Mythical Pokémon!"

"Why is this Gengar so strong? Master Koga's Poison-type Elite Four-level Pokémon couldn't even withstand a single hit..."

"The poison... it's terrifying. There were rumors before that Master Bruno's Steelix was poisoned by a Gengar. I cursed those who spread the rumors, but now... it seems it was true!"

"What do we do now...?"

---

"That's right. What are you going to do?"

Hearing the commotion, Leaf turned toward them. The Elite trainers of the Indigo League, now under his gaze, all lowered their heads—no one dared to meet his eyes.

Leaf, not even twenty, now stood like a towering adult before misbehaving children who had just been caught red-handed.

"No response? Then what about you?" Leaf scanned the group and finally locked eyes with Koga.

"I indeed lost," Koga admitted. Though proud by nature, he had no choice but to lower his head in the face of reality.

Leaf hadn't even summoned his strongest—his Shiny Metagross. Even if every trainer here released their Pokémon, none could stand against the young man before them.

A Shiny Metagross... a pseudo-legendary.

Champions or high-ranking Elite Four members were lucky to possess even one.

But this boy—not only had one, but...

When battling Bruno, Leaf had only used three Pokémon, and their strength had evolved from Elite Four-level to pseudo-legendary tier.

Many had thought Leaf only owned three Pokémon, but now Koga was convinced that Leaf was far from simple.

---

"Get out of the way."

Leaf pushed Koga aside.

"I'm not in the mood to joke around with you."

"Last warning—I'm going to open the entrance and exit of Cinnabar Cave. If your Indigo League doesn't like it, come find me."

With that, Leaf led Serena and Dawn toward the cave.

The workers who had been sealing the rock gaps had already stopped. Seeing their side lose the duel, they quickly stepped aside.

> "Move a bit. Don't get hit by the rocks later."

"Don't do business with them anymore, got it?"

Leaf shot a glance their way. The workers immediately nodded, not daring to protest.

This was a major figure—someone who dared to ignore the Indigo League. If mere workers tried to oppose him, that would be suicide.

---

"Metagross, come out!"

Facing the blocked entrance of Cinnabar Cave, Leaf summoned his Shiny Metagross.

> "Hatcha—"

"Blast open the entrance!"

---

"Leaf, don't go too far!"

Koga and several trainers rushed forward.

> "Think carefully. If you do this, the Indigo League won't let you off."

"Suit yourselves," Leaf sneered.

"Why are you still standing here? If you plan to retaliate, go call your buddies—preferably the strong ones."

"Otherwise, you'll just be free EXP like him."

"Swept six to zero by my Gengar, and you still call yourself an Elite Four?"

Boom—

While Leaf was mocking Koga, Metagross had already blasted open the sealed cave entrance with Bullet Punch.

In Metagross's eyes, there was only its master and its mission. It ignored the human trainers shouting nearby.

Of course, if its master gave the command, it would act—mercilessly.

Dust rose thickly.

Leaf cast one last warning glance at Koga and then led Serena and Dawn into the cave.

---

"Master Koga, what now?"

The Indigo League trainers were frozen. They hadn't dared stop Leaf and still couldn't estimate the true strength of that Metagross.

But seeing it so easily smash through the sealed entrance...

They began mentally calculating: Could my Pokémon withstand that Bullet Punch?

The answer was a resounding no.

> "Should we call the League?"

"We really can't stop him. Unless we bring the other Elite Four members, no one here can deal with him."

"What if we reseal the cave entrance right now?"

"Are you crazy?! That's murder! And we'd be killing the Chief Trainer of the Orange League! Do you want a life sentence?!"

"And that Metagross is ridiculously strong. No matter how we seal it, they'll get out. When they do, he'll fight us to the death. I'm not dying young!"

"Master Koga, we must act fast. We have to decide before he gets out."

---

"Damn it!" Koga gritted his teeth.

"How could such a powerful young man suddenly appear?"

"You all stay here—I'm making a call."

"No trainer has ever dared provoke the Indigo League. We absolutely cannot let this slide!"

---

"Charmander, come out!"

Not long after entering the cave, Leaf summoned Charmander.

He had visited the Charmander group's territory before, but the cave had been sealed for days, and the visibility now was awful.

They had flashlights, but were unsure of the path. It was best to let Charmander lead the way.

Also, given what had happened to the cave, Leaf couldn't hide it from Charmander.

> "Awoo!"

Charmander popped out of the Poké Ball, confused—then quickly recognized the environment.

> "Master, what's going on…?"

"Why is Cinnabar Cave like this?"

"I'll explain later," Leaf replied calmly. "Right now, take me to your group."

"Let's go. But if anything happens... don't panic."

"I'll take care of everything."

His words made Charmander uneasy.

The air inside Cinnabar Cave was thick and suffocating. The heat was intense.

Even Serena and Dawn, lightly dressed, had their clothes soaked in sweat. Yet they didn't complain—only worry filled their eyes for the wild Pokémon.

After all, to become a Pokémon Coordinator, love, patience, and compassion were essential.

---

On their way through the cave, the group came across many dead wild Pokémon—mostly weaker ones.

There were especially many Slugma. After death, their melted bodies hardened into crusty patches of mud.

Leaf's anger intensified at the sight.

---

> "Roar roar roar—!"

They finally reached the Charmander group's territory.

Charmander, now highly anxious, burst into a run the moment it saw five unconscious Charmander lying on the ground.

Tears filled its eyes as it cried and rushed to their side.

Leaf clenched his fists tightly.

"Something really did happen after all."
