Pokemon: Bug catcher

Thorn cried out in pain, "Drilll!!!!" as Lurantis halted its assault, choosing instead to call out, "Luuuuran!" The sky responded dramatically, clouds parting to unleash an intense sunlight. It was not just any weather phenomenon; it was Sunny Day, a weather-altering move.

Suddenly, a small doll-like figure floated near Lurantis, its head an unusual orange hue—Castform in its sunny form. Without hesitation, it unleashed a Flamethrower towards Thorn, who barely dodged the fiery blast.

"Thorn, use Electric Flow and attack Lurantis with Twinneedle!" I commanded, my voice firm. Thorn surged forward, a line of electric energy trailing behind as he darted towards Lurantis. Yet, Lurantis was quick, slightly shifting to avoid the full brunt of the attack. At the same time, Castform retaliated with Weather Ball, striking Thorn and leaving a small scratch on his side.

'We can't keep this up; Thorn is getting tired! We need to end this quickly!' I thought, urgency flooding my mind. 

"Thorn use Darkflow", I said,

As if it were a cue, dark energy started covering Thorn, like a cloak. After a few seconds, it coloured his full body. Seeing his state, Lurantis and Castform(Sunny form) were confused. 

So, without any delay, I commanded Thorn again, because I knew Thorn couldn't keep this form for a long time. 

"Thorn Fury Cutter on Castform"

(Third POV)

"Thorn Fury Cutter on Castform", as soon as Evan said, Time seemed to stop, the whole world became black and white, Lurantis and Castform(Sunny form) seemed to stand still. Wings behind Thorn moved slightly, and within seconds, he was near Castform(Sunny form), without any wait, used Fury Cutter on Castform(Sunny form), 

One hit

Two hit

Three hit

Time flowed back, and Castform flew out and hit a tree and fainted, seeing his ally faint Lurantis, and became more confused and started to panic because it didn't know what happened, so it used Solar Blade towards Thorn. 

Seeing Evan say "Thorn use fury cutter again", Hearing this, like earlier time, stopped in Thorn's perspective, and he used fury cutter on Lurantis.

Five hit

Time started flowing again, this time like Castform(Sunny form), Lurantis didn't faint; instead, it was on its last leg. It was panting while holding its right arm with its left arm. Seeing this, Evan didn't wait and said,

"Thorn uses twinneedle" Hearing this, Thorn used twinneedle in his usual speed, just this time, Lurantis couldn't dodge. And got hit and fainted.

After it fainted, Evan was about to congratulate Thorn, but the dark cloak around Thorn was vanishing, and Thorn fell to the ground. 

(Evan POV)

I opened my mouth to congratulate Thorn, but my heart sank as I watched him fall to the ground, the dark cloak of energy dissipating.

seeing this without any hesitation, I ran towards him, As soon I reached him, I started check him, I only let out a sigh of relief after I saw that he was fainted because he was tired using the darkflow, I wasn't surprised although it increased his parameters, that also comes at a cost, he drains him fast, at normal state he could last in this state for 7 to 10 minutes, but his was already a bit injured when he used it this time.

"Take rest, buddy", I said as I returned him to his pokeball.

After that, I walked towards the exit. As I reached the place, I saw Professor Kukui and Mr. Bramble waiting for me, along with Mallow.

'This time I was lucky, I let myself be clouded with arrogance. Next time, I will be more focused.'
